Move Over The Elite League.
Steve Shovlar replied to Odds On's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Again you show your complete lack of knowledgement or you are trolling. Poole fans know our track produces excellent racing more often than not. Unlike you I actually go to speedway every week it is run and go to every EL track in the country at least once and maybe twice a season depending on when Poole ride there. I also watch every Sky meeting. Taking off any blue blinkers I would say Poole produces some of the best racing I have seen anywhere in the league. We are lucky the Wimborne Road track shape allows full throttle action with passing inside and out on every bend. Rarely if ever do we get meetings where heats are strung out. Perhaps its because Poole have a team of racers who can pass but so far this year we have been treated to some wonderful action. True the track had issues, which have now been resolved, but even the Poole V Belle Vue meeting on Sky, derided by many on here, was far superior than the majority of meetings on Sky this year. The Result was crap and we lost, but there was a ton of passing in most of the heats. Would I swap Pooles track for another in the EL? The jury is still out on Belle Vues track. Hopefully it will settle to be spectacular. Looking forward to Pooles visits. Other than that I would keep Wimborne Road hands down. Just my opinion of course. -
Do you purposely leave out Holder because he rides for Poole? Holder has a record around Cardiff better than anyone including your beloved Tai. Noddy to win would bring the house down. Hugely popular amongst all speedway fans as his reception at Cardiff every year shows. If Woffinden wins then fine, but every interview he is piping on at just how better than everyone else he is and just waiting to pull away. Then after saying that he ran two lasts and crashed out. Tai winning the championship is fine by me, but he is far from popular. Loram had the support of nearly all British fans. Woffinden disrespects us and because of this has lost a chunk of support. Having said that if Holder fails to make the final and Woffinden does, I am happy for him to win it. Surely you cant expect to have a different opinion to Gavan and not be a troll. Thats his favourite word for me as I am completely at odds with his way of thinking. His way or you are a troll. Lol! As for tickets, we buy the cheapest ones on the day from the ticket office by the stadium up those stairs. £25 wont get cheaper, then after heat 4 move to better seats. This is fine until the event becomes a sell out, which will probably never happen unless the nationals or mainstream tv pick up on the event. Hope bsi get some riders together for Thursday night. Everyone should be in town so no problem giving a few demo rides. Get thenriders pass each other on every bend to make it look like all racing is like this. But of course this is all pie in thensky. Bsi probably havent even thought about it.

Someone had their fingers in the till. If that happened over here the fraud squad would be investigating. £50,000 raised from Poole, £4000 from Torun. Beyond belief. Torun have many more fans. Would have expected £100,000 + at least even with cheaper entry fee. Wonder what Torun fans or Polish fans in general are saying? More than £4000 was raised in the bucket collection at Poole for gods sake!

So what would hou suggest? Ban Holder, Zagar, Iversen, Jonsson, Lindgren, Doyle etc? Good servants to British speedway. Drop the standard across the board to PL level so Britain never again produces top class riders. Or if one comes through he is banned from riding here because he has got too good? We need to raise the standard not dilute it to PL level. Squad system is the way ahead. Ten riders in a squad. Still have a team 'points' limit of some form. Riders who are not used by their club are automatically available for all other clubs to sign.

Swindon - Coventry 4.7.16 On Sky
Steve Shovlar replied to A ORLOV's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Spud it matters not. Master Ellis has been touched by the Poole rubbishty stick and thats it as far as Gavan is concerned. Nothing against young master Bates (sorry couldn't resist that one) but Adam is a better all round rider. Bates is known as a gater and it was a gaters paradise tonight. Gated in his first but was awol after that. When you consider Adam beat Andreas Johnson on his home patch on Friday it shows the difference. Anyway back to the meeting thread and Coventry are still crap an hour after the meeting ended. So there you have it. You admit you were trolling by telling an untruth. Your hatred continues. Long may we continue to laugh at you and not with you. Is your arse jealous at the amount of crap that comes out of your mouth? -

Then reserve only rides in the case of an injury. Not a tactical position. Bates is rubbish again. Not seen Ellis do that all season. A no brainer for Rosco. -

Careful it wont be long before someone says KK is doing it to get a ride at Poole next year. Truth be told it really doesn't look like he is trying judging by his poise on his bike. No aggression. -

Coventry are truly a sorry looking team. Swindon finding it all too easy. -

Three bad meetings on the bounce now after a good start to the speedway on sky. Not Swindons fault Coventry are so bad. One thing to come out of the meeting so far is that Rosco can see first hand Josh Bates should not get the reserve berth for TeamGB. Clearly now it must go to Adam Ellis, who is a better overall rider and showing good form. Young Bates time may come but certainly he doesnt warrant the reserve pick for this year. -
So basically Torun raised a poxy £9,000. When a small in comparison club like Poole raised over 50,000, more than questions need to be asked. The police need to be called in to see if any fraud has taken place. In situations like this riders ridd for nothing and companies donate products or loan free if charge. Or is that just a GB thing and Polish riders and compainies try to cash in?

Theres a simple solution and its called a multi storey carpark.

Lakeside V Poole Friday 1st July
Steve Shovlar replied to mdmc82's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I for one am Barry but who would have thought it? First meeting I have missed this year and decided to not go simply because it wasn't really a Poole team. I have never looked at or thought about how many 'likes' I have had because it is completely meaningless. I could get hundreds a week if I posted to get them. Say nice things the majority agree with on every thread and Bobs your uncle. Didn't Cook make a fool of himself? Didn't Starke ride brilliantly. Etc etc etc....be an agreeing poster and the likes will pour in...lol. You know when you have won when al, Gavan can do is critisize my spelling. As I am using an iPhone to type this as my iPad went kaput a few days ago ( new ipad pro arriving Tuesday!) I cannot be assed to correct a typo. This is a speedway forum not spelling B forum. As for the meeting and Gavan saying Poole won because Starke scored more than Newman would have got, if Bjarne was riding Stark would have only have had four rides tops, as Bjarne would have taken his rides and scored much more than our other guest reserve. So a good away win to put us in a strong position for the playoffs and then the defence of our title. Seems BV are really delaying us going up there though. Is the B fixture taking place before the A fixture? Closer we go up there before the playoffs the better though. -

And still you go on and on and on. You made a complete dick of yourself last night and it seems a sleep has not calmed you down as you are carrying on where you left off last night. Your anger at our unexpected victory is hilarious. A simple, well done Poole would have sufficed, or rather no post at all would have been better than moaning that Starke won it for us and Newman would never have done that. Hilarious as Bjarne at reserve, Hans, Buck and Kurtz would have mullered Lakeside the way they rode last night. Yep. Last night was a classic. Rather than stop and cut his losses he made a bigger fool of himself with ever post. His wig slipped, the mascara ran and the lippy smudged. Nobody expected Poole to win this before tapes up. I thought withdrawal of Kennet gave us the chance of not being smashed but Lakeside still looked far too strong for us. -

Gavan cannot debate on a Poole thread. His hatred of all things Matt Ford, Middlo and Poole overwhelms him and he can't be balanced at all with his posts. Spends his time on the Poole threads rather than his own club and is bound to get stick with his anti Poole clap trap. Got what he deserved tonight and rather than just congratulate us on a suprise win, he made an utter pillock of himself. But then he does that most of the time on here anyway. Gives us a good giggle when he goes off on one of his rants, saying so and so are decent Poole fans but so and so and so and so are not. I will probably read a post from himalong those lines tomorrow. . -

Trouble js he makes it so easy for us. We know he is hating it so he is an easy target to bait. What a great night. A British club in the semis of the footy, well done to the sheep shaggers, and an even bigger shock at Lakeside tonight. -

All I can say Nick that if the real Poole team had been riding we would have hit 60 tonight. With that team Poole should have struggled to 35. Well done to Middlo for working his magic from heat one. Ellis should definately be the reserve for TeamGb now he is getting back to fitness. Took some big scalps tonight.
