Should Tai Woffinden Ride For Team Gb ?
Steve Shovlar replied to robert72's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
I get a feeling that Woffinden won't get the reception he previously got at Cardiff next month. He really has alienated himself from many British Speedway fans. Of course cheers for him will be the loudest from ghe crowd but a lot of fans will choose their own club rider to cheer on instead of Woffinden, which is a shame. -
Leicester V Swindon 4/6/16
Steve Shovlar replied to stevethelion's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Cheating from Swindon plain and simple. Tungate rode last night and is not injured so its purely tactical on Rosco's part. Means Doyle and Morris and Josh and Wright get extra rides. Anyone who says different is lying. And dont throw Poole never cheat, do they, back at me. The result means nothing to me as a Poole fan but its clearly a tactical move and nothing to do with any injury. Clearly Rosco thinks Swindon cant win there with Tungate riding. Hope Leicester lodge a protest. It should be a 6 point PL rider. No r/r and if they go with r/r and Tungate is dropped, then the result should be ammended minus r/r points. If he wants to progress he will be desperate to sign for Arsenal. Leicester had a great season but are tiny compared to a club like Arsenal. -
Read this news on the main bbc sport website rolling news! PK is the same as Bjarne, not the same as he was but probably an improvement over Beck.(Watt)

Swindon Robins V Leicester Lions 02/06
Steve Shovlar replied to Sidney the robin's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Results like this pop up from time to time. Poole losing at home to Belle Vue a few years ago when BV were bottom and crap. Lakeside did it as well. Swindons defeat comes from a little complacency, and Kurtz banging in a big score. If Swindon had ridden as hard as they did on Monday they would probably have won. Such are the joys and dispairs of sport. -
Swindon Robins V Leicester Lions 02/06

You were saying? Which opposition?mYou mean Swindon? The size of the attendance? Lol! Did you stick a tenner on? Well done to Leicester. Fully deserved by the look of it. Swindons season almost in tatters now. They have to go and win a coulle away to make up for this week. Looks like Kurtz likes the Blunsdon track. Or was it pure complacency from Rosco and his red red robins? -
The reason is two fold. First of all the football, but secondly not enough fixtures. Poole want more meetings and in last nights program Matt Ford said that if the support was there he would run more meetings this year and wants feedback. He would rather run every week during July and August when the holidays are in full swing than in June when kids are at school.

A superb meeting full of great races with passes in virtually every heat. The scoreline doesn't reveal an excellent meeting full of hard, agressive and downright exciting racing. The track work done over the last few days was noticeable with no bumps or ruts. If I had to moan it was underwatered and became dusty later on, but the racing continued throughout at a very high quality. Poole started like a train and steam rollered Swindon at the start but it wS never going to last. They came back into it with two 5-1's on the bounce and battled for everything. Poole always had the upperhand though and Doyle desperately needed back up which he didn't get. Heat 12 was a blinding race with all four on top of each other. Chalk and cheese compared to last week. The return of Buck made Poole look much more solid and his passing and never say die was appreciated by the good crowd. For Poole. Holder looked much happier and was in the mix all night. Worrall battled well. Buckowski was excellent and deserved heat 15 imo. Bjarne did his job. Solid. Hans was Hans and did his job. Newman missed the gate all night and although scored lower than usual was always a bike wheel away from another point. Kurtz was pretty good with a couple of cracking races. Swindon. Doyle was excellent after a poor heat one. Josh battled well. Tungate had one decent ride. Morris ditto. Sedgeman held off Buck very well in one heat. Wright was good and made a great sweeping move in one heat to get a 5-1. Neilson gated well and got a win. Three points to Poole but importantly nothing for Swindon. To be honest they didn't deserve a point but they gave their all and made for a very good nights entertainment. You couldn't be more wrong if you tried.

Agree. We have had some fantastic racing and meetings on it this season.

And that happens a lot and the offender doesnt stand a chance due to the way the cps view such cases. Just recently the case with the Sunderland player. Got the guy years in jail and life wrecked.

In the UK you cannot have legal consensual sex with an under 16 year old. It is automatically rape as the system deems the underage person not capable of making the decision.

Belle Vue V Coventry 30th May, 2016
Steve Shovlar replied to Aces51's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
The Swindon queues were volume of people. No way if speeding it up as you walked up to the turnstile, paid your cash and you were in. Could not have been done any faster. BV. Queue up then slowly get to the ticket office and wait your turn. "Which tickets do you want, Edna"? "Aye"? "Where shall we sit, love"? "Aye"? The ticket girl shows the screen. "Whats all that then"?. The ticket girl explains the green seats are avalable still. "Two then please". "Which ones"? "Near the Lavvy". Finally the tickets are printed and paid for. The couple then head for the next queue to get in, along with a bag search where banana sandwich and flask are confiscated as dangerous weapons. "However our food outlets offer a superb range of overpriced beverages and dried out pies". The queues at the ticket office move forward one pace. "Next"! -

Wouldnt be suprised if this happened. Like Wimbledon when they moved to Eastbourne. Lasted a season then Eastbourne reverted to the Eagles. -
No point in speculating. Innocent until proven guilty. I would be careful what anyone writes as even though it is not a UK accusation, there could be legal implications.
