  1. I gave Lambert a little stick last week as he hasnt been great this season but tonight he has been really great and entertaining. Well done to the lad.

  3. He did get warned. Not excluded for touching the tapes. Excludd for delaying start. Hand was warned in one heat. Did it again in another and the ref said several rider were moving. But again, why was Wright not excluded for not being under power when Morris touched the tapes?
  4. If it isnt a sellout why on earth waste time asking people where they want to sit? Its an unwarranted delay for fans entering the stadium. Let peole sit where they want. Early birds get the best seats
  5. Didnt think it was very good meeting racing wise. Track started slick and then they decided to dtop watering before the interval. Track had a big blue groove on it at the end and bad dust. Riders really struggling. Outsidegate were the best. Huge crowd. The fans are still there as the crowd proved. Getting them there every week is the trick. Poole brought along a lot of fans. The scoreline kept it more exciting than the racing.
  6. Agree about ref. How he didnt exclude Wright for not neing underpower was a joke.
  7. Shocking conditions morris touched tapes. Track is appalling. Super blue groove dust bowl. They cant be assed to water.

  9. Is there a new rule? Wright bike failed at tapes no power. Allowed back in rerun with Morris who touched tapes off fifteen.
  10. Well I think I will get there early to get a parking space for a quick exit. If this meeting doesn't pull in a large crowd at the Abbey nothing will. Swindon showing great form against a team struggling to live up to pre season expectations. Its got the making of a classic. Lets hope its not a boring from the gate meeting. Can Swindon prove their form is real and win this, or can Poole finally wake up from their slumber and show the league they mean business by coming away with the points? Having been to all Poole's away meetings I am not holding out much hope of a win. If we can get a point it will show there is some fighting spirit. Not usually a good hunting ground for us and Holder rarely does much here to be honest. But the team is decent enough to get something. I said 49-41 earlier and am sticking to that. Anything else closer is a bonus.
  11. Why didnt we win at Leicester? Wolves? Lakeside? Coventry? We havent travelled well at all this year. If meetings were raced on paper we would be top.
  12. A dry day, two teams at full strength, a bank holiday, more more could you want other than the first Poole away win of the season? Don't have much faith currently that we will get it but I shall be there regardless, cheering on the champs. Hopefully this meeting will have captured the Swindon publics imagination and a huge crowd will turn up. There should be a good turnout coming up from Poole.
  13. Bad luck to Leicester after a fantastic fightback. Klindt paid 21 a remarkable acheivement well done to him. You couls see it coming in heat 15 though.
  14. There has to be a gap between boss and riders. Without it everyone would take the P. I guess the riders know who the boss is and know they cant gret away with it or the old guillotine will come down regardless of who you are. Watty, Boycey, Loram and others have all felt the chop. The pressure of knowing not giving your best could result in losing your place certainly concentrates the mind. No one is safe yet overall the Pirates ship is a happy one.
  15. Matt is firing off at the riders for underperformjng away from home. We should not be scrapping a last gasp draw at Leicester and not trying at Wolves.
  16. Pretty strong talk from Matt Ford and rightly so. Its pretty clear who his remarks are aimed at. Truth is we should be doing better away from home.
  17. So the same as saying no Nick morris. Surely Swindon can compensate? Well they have Tungate.
  18. The rules themselves are not complicated. Its all the addons to seal up holes that are being exploited. No good having a set of rules a team can dive through like water through a seive. The average fiasco must be number one on the adjenda. Secondly, as someone else posted the other day, there only has to be two more rules. 1. Poole to win. 2. If Poole are losing, see rule one.
