  1. He's been poor in POland simply becaus a jerk of a team manager who favours his Poles every time. Ward has won the U21 twice now. He can't be overlooked and is clearly a better rider than Woffinden, whom he should replace.
  2. Wooohooooo!!!!! Great practice for MOnday night. Now go rip the sting out of those Bees!
  3. Taken from the Bournemouth Echo. PIRATES chief Matt Ford has not ruled out a dramatic bid to buy Weymouth. Ford has revealed he is not one of three parties Phil Bartlett claims are interested in buying the ailing National League outfit. But the Wimborne Road supremo has not discounted making a later bid for Pirates’ Dorset neighbours. Wildcats chairman Bartlett has put the club up for sale and told our sister paper the Dorset Echo: “A deal is getting closer. “There are three parties very interested in taking it forward. “All three know what they are doing and are based within 30 to 40 miles of Weymouth.” Ford, who looks almost certain to pull the plug on his own third-tier team, Bournemouth, at the end of this term, appears to be an ideal candidate to run Wildcats alongside his Elite League Poole promotion. He said: “We are aware of the interested parties and would always be there to help anyone who takes Weymouth on. “We can only wait and see what happens about their future at the next British Speedway Promoters’ Association annual meeting. “I can definitely say it would be a crying shame for the sport to lose Weymouth.” Ford added: “We’d never rule ourselves, or one or two of the other parties, out of the equation. “It’s not easy running a speedway club. It can be a severe drain on the finances and takes a lot of time and commitment. “You can be the best businessman in the world and still not be able to run a speedway club. “Firstly, you must have an immense knowledge of speedway itself and how it runs to promote a club effectively and efficiently. “It’s been shown with Buccaneers in the past two years that you can be in a speedway town and still find it very hard to make ends meet.” Ford, aware Weymouth is also used as a training track, continued: “ There’s a chance we’ll be doing something ourselves in terms of training at Poole. “While it’s unlikely we’ll run Buccaneers next year, we won’t be withdrawing completely from developing young British talent. “It might not be in the National League. It might be on a training basis.” On a wider issue, Ford added: “I believe there will be one or two moves in the National League to make it a solely British-born or British passport holder league. “I think it’s not in the people’s interest it’s open to Commonwealth riders and believe there will be changes at the AGM. “Many people in British speedway are questioning the inclusion of Commonwealth riders.”
  4. Well done to Gollob fully deserved. Thought the ref was a joke though. hampel looked like he had Harris in the semi final. The front on shot showd it. Wouldn't have altered anything in the scheme of things but unfair on Hampel. Also the farcical decision to exclude Hans when Holta rode into the back of his was a complete joke! Again well done to Gollob. Definately the best rider in 2010. Will be party time in Poland for the last GP.
  5. Over hyped? I think it's pretty clear to every speedway fan no matter what team they support that ward will be in the GP series within the next two years and be one of the biggest stars in the sport for years to come. His Polish club might not be capable of getting the best out of him but there will be other Polish teams lining up to sign him. I have no doubt in years to come that he will be challenging his mate Holder and Emil for the world title. Toruns loss is another clubs gain.
  6. Watched the meeting but it was very dull. A big crowd and atmosphere don't make up for the racing itself which was poor buut for a couple of heats.
  7. Emil Pulcynski the hero of the night. Very fast bikes and crump couldn't get near him. How old is this lad?
  8. Agree. He was taken completely out and the rider in red should have gone. He lost control and just skidded across in front of Bjarne. Poor meeting though. Riders all over the place. Either a rocket or a slug. spaced out racing.
  9. For the two Polish clubs I would think. Poole have a fixture on Wednesday night.
  10. Holder, Madsen and Ward are at Poole Wednesday. To be honest I am pleased it off. Asking for injuries in that weather.
  11. No chance of this going ahead. You can herethe thunder through the feed!
  12. Thank god it was on Sopcast so I could record it and watch it delayed. Kolodziej croaked big time there. Would imagine he will get in if Lindgren makes a rare appearance in the top 8 this season. Well done to Toninio!!!!! Fantastic stuff and it's great he is back in the GP series. he was really missed. Laguta? Well he rode well tonight but is likely to be well out of his depth in 2011. Still, if Tai is around he will have someone to battle over the odd point or two. Certainly a rider who will be making up the numbers. Watched him a fair bit this year and I don't think he will cut it. However two Ruskies mean a russian round soon? As for the Brits. Nothing to say really. Poor as usual.
  13. Harris has had his chance several times over. Hope he fails, and not from an unpatriotic point of view, but because he has been a virtual also ran nearly the whole time he has been in the series. Give a wildcard to another Brit, wherther they are currently good enough or not. It will freshen the series and give another rider the opportunity to strive to be better. I pray that some old Pole doesn't get through like Walasek or Ilamek. Kolodziej would be a good addition. No thanks to Iversen either. Been there never cut the mustard. Fresh young blood please, regardless of nationality.
  14. I have a feeling that Leon Madsen is going to cause a suprise. I spoke to him last night at Wimborne Road and he is very possitive about his chances. He was impressive last night and fast out of the gate. And being on home turf might suprise everyone, though it would be a shock for him to be one of the three qualifiers.
  15. Decent GP. Shame about the dullard winner. Gollob is now looking set to become WC. Nasty move on Emil though. Seemed to panic when he should have waited. A race is 4 laps not one.
  16. ON SS1 from 12.30 am Sunday. Or the red button!
  17. It was a decent meeting played out on a slick track which had no attention made to it throughout the meeting, which was rattled through in an hour. The Poole meeting previous to this was raced on one of the best prepared tracks of the season. but due to time constraints the two minute light came on as soon as the riders from the previous heat left the track. By heat 10 gating was paramount and Dudly got dialled in at the starts. I am convinced tht if the track had received the same attention as the Poole meeting, with regular grading, Buccs would probably have won by a larger margin. There was nothing there for any rider in the latter part of the meeting and Brundle and Hart could make up no ground if they had missed the start. Good support from the 100 or so Cradley fans who made the trip down. very vocal and gave their team plenty of cheering on. Good for them.
  18. Its showing 1.30 pm to 2.30 pm. Think it could go red button at 2.30.
  19. All sports start again. I remember years ago I was at a football match. Swindon were winning 4-0 against Brighton I think when the fog caused an abandonment after 75 minutes. The reply ended 0-0.
  20. Shame it was called off. Best chance we had there. Expect a super slick meeting tomorrow like Thursday.
  21. Meeting off. Gutted I won't be able to watch it. Stopped raining as well.
  22. Would have thought this takes priority. I will be gutted if it's off as I am on holiday tomorrow moring so will miss it. The rain should ease shortly but there's more on the way. Once it has stopped they better not wait too long.
