  1. I thought it was open? if theres a back straight cover, I stand corrected
  2. it is a "safe track".....cos nobody overtakes!!!
  3. speedway mattered then, Sky carry no ounce of weight compared to what World Of Sport did. It was proper speedway, no gimmicks
  4. as nice as it is (if) the bees stay in business, its dreadful such a wonderful venue is being lost. Has the brit final venue for 2016 been announced yet? how nice would it be for the home of the british final take a final bow at Brandon? I recently watched the last lap at Exeter on you tube, when Ivan Mauger brought the curtain down. Any chance Ole Olsen could do the same going to sound biased here, but having seen National stadium (pictures only) at this point, I still see Brandon as a better stadium. The back straight cover is great, which Manchester don't have, the home stand is still as good as any I seen in domestic speedway, and the pits area for fans to view is fantastic.
  5. Excellent to see the Woffy biography being put in major book shops right throughout the UK. Not just track shops, but nationwide. The same publishers as Katie Price (like her or loathe her), they know how to promote. Another plus, on the promotional front of having a ENGLISH world champion
  6. I watched that 82 crash over many many times. certainly not a time id envy the referee job!....guess we all have different opinions. personally think Penhall flicked his wheel out coming off the bend, but it don't appear to have hit him, at the time Carter went down, though left no room for Carter to go. Would Carter of laid it down on purpose? not a chance in hell, especially after his mega serious fall at Ipswich, and was only recently out of hospital. There was some dodgy racing on the lap leading up to the incident also.
  7. How about the time Ricko pulled up at Lynn, to allow a double to take place in the next heat?..blatant!!
  8. lets face it, 90% of us knows the riders whose going to be selected in Manchester. im sure we could all throw the double move in when needed, what else is there to do?..Managers have very little say in the outcome. A mechanic"s the most important person by far. With no team riding in the world cup, its simply, gate and go. Very little tactics required
  9. beat one team and we have a medal....... we already higher then we ended last year!!
  10. if you need a motivator in Manchester then somethings not right!
  11. whilst he"d do well to get 6pt average, I doubt that would be enough for a successful team result
  12. a rider wears so many race jackets per season, im sure all they care about is a full diary!
  13. how much say does speedway managers have a say on team building? isn't it the promoter who hires and fires in most instances?
  14. being GB manager is a part time job, and 100% separate from his Swindon job
  15. if the twk had no interest in speedway, I doubt he"d be on this forum? its typical bad public relations, a customer uses his option to stay away, because he doesn't like the product on offer!
  16. thank you for that, didn't know that. I am only likely to watch IOW as far as national league goes, during a summer holiday, but good on that league doing that
  17. it makes it right, as far as the rules go, but I think it doesn't sit right with a lot of people views. The product as a whole isn't right. does anybody on here support the double points for example? yet no-one changes it. its not rocket science.
  18. your side kick just brought up the double points and sky tv, suggesting we don't like those either? double points is utterly pathetic. And is there proof of any degree that sky sports has benefitted speedway financially?
