Yet Newport chewed them up and spat them out in the KOC.

Thats a fair point. Scott was a hot headed fool as a youngster, certainly knew how to cause controversy. But how long do we have to give the likes of Gary Havelock and Chris Harris before they grow up and mature? Or Middlo?

Park in Newport, get the train down. Costs about £5 for a return. Cardiff station is right by the stadium. Racing starts at 5.15. Parade at 5pm. Entertainment (whatever it is, usual crap) at 4pm. I tend to aim to get in for 5 by the time I stumble in, have a wee and chat to someone it's nearer 5.15 Should be done by 8.15ish Loads of places to eat. The stadium is in the centre of Cardiff. The city centre is grouped with high-street shops merging into local shops in the arcades (some great shops in there btw! I've spent hours in there and I'm not really a shopper) that merge into the bars, pubs, clubs and restaurants. Or you can always make your way down to the Bay - get a boat form Bute Park or just on a bus for about £2 each - won't be as busy and there plenty to chose from. I'd love to see Bomber win again but I think we'll have to be happy with a heat win Yes, it's fine. Not sure why you wouldn't just continue down the M4 though. There nothing to be gained by going down there though. It's only very recently been opened to the public which is why it's not googlemapped/streetviewed too well.

Swedish Elitserien 2014, Round 10
SCB replied to Ghostwalker's topic in International World of Speedway
It's like Emil, I believe his surname can be spelt with an i, j or y for the 3rd letter. We tend to use the y, the Poles look like they use the j. Yet I've seen it spelt with the i too - including on most online translators! Bit if you're being pedantic, his name is Эмиль Сайфутдинов -
Scott Nicholls and Billy Janniro. They'd head into the first bend looking for each other and moved any opponents out of the way. We used to laugh that it was like meeting the unstoppable force and the unmovable object all at once for some riders. Great pairing, as proved by the fact Billy would often score 2 or 3 bonus points a meeting.

TBF, it's not as if his average has gone up since he left Swindon. He's just not the rider he once was, it happens to most riders - Hancock apart who just seems to go one and on.

The Wharf in the bay will put it on for you. TBH, Id imagine as half the pubs are going to be half full of speedway fans that any number of pubs will put it on. -
Swedish Elitserien 2014, Round 10
SCB replied to Ghostwalker's topic in International World of Speedway
Its weird, I know it's France too but still say Frank! As for Loktaev, he's Russian, they have a different alphabet so the spelling is a loose translation at best. -
it cost twice as much. And I did not moan last year, I thought last year was pretty good.

If you're camping 10 minutes wlak form the centre of Cardiff you're in someones front garden! Be interesting to know where you're staying. I've mentioned this the last few years. If you stay in Century Wharf you're a 10-15 minute walk from the stadium and you get the use of the pool and gym if you fancy it! You're also only a 10 minute walk from the bay so can avoid the crowds of speedway fans in the centre before jumping on a boat up into the centre.

Something Got To Change (sheffield)
SCB replied to OILYRAG's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Because if he could you'd flood the NL with 6 point PL riders making the NL too expensive. -

If that wasn't that track at it's best then I'd love to see more form there. I thought it was a brilliant meeting with great racing. -

Im normally very "meh" towards fireworks but to their credit the GP fireworks tend to be pretty good every year. -
Ive got to be honest, I still look at this Edinburgh team and wonder how the hell they've gone this long unbeaten. If I'm honest I'm not sure they're that good, so how are they doing it? All credit to them!

The advent of twitter has allowed us to see a different side to speedway riders, it's shown a lot of them up as muppets. Scott on the other hand comes across well, is happy to get involved in discussion with the fans and make his point in a clam and fair way even when other get nasty. He is a real credit to our sport. And as well all know, he's brilliant on Eurosport too.

Do you have any idea how much it would cost to rent the stadium for 2 weeks rather than just the 1?

2014 European Speedway Championships
SCB replied to DutchGrasstrack's topic in International World of Speedway
And speedway rules say the riders have to be stationary at the start! The referee had to make 2 decisions all day, the Miedzinski crash and the semi-final dodgy start and he got 50% of them wrong! -

How the hell was that ever fair? Jumped the start messing up Emil, then rode I to Emil mid-bend! -

If he's on a 5 or less Coventry could do a lot worse than replace Howarth who's never available. -
Rye House V Workington... 5th July, 7pm
SCB replied to Shadders's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Shaders is one of them poor fans that follows his team all round the UK, and his partners team too. He probablylh spend more time and money on speedway than most do. -

"It could be worse, we could have still had Lambert in the team, he only managed to score 4 against us he must be terrible"
