Concrete is planning permission or dates they're going to start building. This is nothing. I actually feel a little sorry for the BV management here. You're bigging up has made what could have been a positive little update has turned into a huge let down. Surely as a journalist you must know that reporting some news is coming means that news has to be good or you just leave people disappointed.

Exeter have planning permission for Haldon Race Course. Oxford have planning for Cowley, Reading have planning permission. Doesn't really mean much. It stands to reason that if you're going to build a new stadium you're going to have to apply for planning permission so telling us they're showing some people a few pictures before applying for planning permissions is not really needed. But the big issue here is we were told, "EXPECT some positive and concrete news about the Belle Vue National Stadium later this week..." and we have none do we? And you kind of expect it to be pretty big when it gets it's own new thread.

Whoever is doing the World feed does it from track side - which is why we have someone different for NZ each season rather than the regular duo. -
The council have probably bought a new rubber stamp. Or Morton went to Prague this weekend

Newcastle Vs Edinburgh {1.6.14 At 6.30}
SCB replied to HadrianDog's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Its starting to look like a really impressive team change by the Newcastle management. They have managed to spend big on a number 1 and weaken their team at the same time! I guess in August when Kings average drop top 8.5 they can bring in a 5+ rider for Mills or a 6+ rider for Schramm. -

Like he did in the final? Oh no, he didn't did he?! -
if his first for scores were 28 and his most recent scores are 27 then his scores have dropped in the World of any sane person :/

I forget to mention this earlier. He has a really poor semi final record. A few times he's looked great all meeting then messed up the semi. Sometimes it's trying to jump the start and other times it's he just seems to nod off and get passed too easily. Once he fixes that though, he'll win many titles. -

I'll take that. Always nice when a Brut wins. Even better when you have money on them. A Nicki podium would have been better though - damn you Nicki! -

Seriously, you are amazing. Where have I said all inside passes are down to rider error? I was right that night, you just seem to want to take my comments on that meeting an extrapolate them over all meetings. Says more about you than my observations on that meeting. -

I've done the dirty and put a few ££ e/w on Smoli too. He can gate and that's what it's all about. -

I got 6/1 on Nicki. Probably could have got a little more shopping around. Every year were told they're fixing the track. -
Even with rolling averages, if your scores go up your average will too!

Well if it is all on the inside and riders are blasting around the fence they're idiots -

I believe I'm right in saying that something like 14 of the previous 20 Czech GP winners have gone on to win the World Title. Plus Crumpy won the title in Prague. Does it make tonight's meeting more important? Woffy or Nicki for the win for me. Both can gate like excrement of a shovel - and that's what Prague is about. -
That'd be why. How odd.
-
Thats wrong. He had 7 meetings for Plymouth last season, 4 home and 3 away. This season he's had 1 home and 1 away. So he's had 5 home and 4 away meaning he should get an average.
-
To stop average fiddling. By always including 20+ meetings 2 or 3 bad meetings will only make a tiny dent in a riders average. 2 or 3 bad meetings in 6 will make a massive difference. They are a good thing tbf.

The rule is it has to pour down with rain either just before or during the Czech GP. It's like a law. The days either side of it can be hot and dry but GP day, it has to rain! Buy some black bags from the supermarket before you go, they make excellent, cheap rain coats and everyone around you will love you as you hand them out! Also, on the way home, get the tram the wrong way to Bila Hora after the GP. It's only 1 stop further, then it turns around and heads back to the centre of Prague coming back to the stop that the queues of speedway fans are waiting at. Means you don't have to wait for ages for a tram that you can get on - instead it's a 5 minute journ ey extra on a tram. -
I make it about 6.8 from his 7 meetings last season and his 2 for Sheffield.
-
As he's been out over 12 months due to injury he'd get an 8% reduction. So would be about 8 in the PL at a guess. Well worth the "risk" on that figure. edit> Last average 8.88, 2 season out so he should be 7.52 in the PL. Bargain. 5.94 in the EL.

Cardiff Entertainment
SCB replied to Callum Johnstone's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
By all means have some entertainment but some people seem to want a modern, popular band that would add a fortune to the ticket cost. Stick with what they're doing.
