  1. TBF, ask yourself why IOW drop a young Aussie after one season. Then read Tsunamis post (and we know how Tsunami rarely has anything bad to say about riders) and then ask Oxford fans what they thought. Frankly the guy could moan for Australia when it come to tracks which is impressive as Shields, Ward, Schlein and Holder have all raced speedway. Correct. Over the years I've seen a few piss take performances from Shields and Watt. The sport is no poorer for their absence.
  2. THIS! Logically you have to use what season averages or at the very least have a conversion between the leagues once riders get averages. But the BSPA hadn't thought this far ahead
  3. Holder and KK can go on the unimpressed list. Swindon can go on the impressed list. And those of us her previously commented on Lewis Rose appear to have jinxed him! :/
  4. You don't. Coventry didn't and Somerset don't.
  5. Maybe he does then. I just thought Wells (and Watt) had both got indefinite leave. I could be wrong.
  6. Then has the cheek to call us moaning poms. The wonderful irony is that nobody moans more than Aussie speedway riders.
  7. Wells has indefinite leave to remain. It's not British citizenship. I believe it does mean in the future he could claim citizenship some times in the future but it's not that simple. Davey is the second Brit in Edinburghs team.
  8. The issue is he hates every where. With his attitude it's not going to get any better.
  9. Who the hell would sign Holder on 13 when he's not even averaging 6? There's plenty of PL riders who can come in and get that.
  10. Noticed that the other day. Amazingly Rosco looks like a thinner John Higgins
  11. Proctor, Auty or Hansen for Shanes if the Pirates keep Kerr and drop KK. Would mean Kerr and Klindt in reserve. Could be the answer. Some interesting options around at the moment for the likes of Somerset, Lynn and Poole.
  12. My figures are a few weeks out of date but he's nearer 4.5 than 5 adding on the extra meetings in my head.
  13. I don't rate Clegg much at all but he'll be ok at reserve. Might take a little time for the confidence to return but he'll be better than any replacement - who as pointed out has to be British.
  14. Regarding Danyon and his average. I wonder if Ipswich could declare him as riding in a meeting, he misses the 2 minutes in 3 rides. I'd say it technically counts as three rides, 0 points and 1 meeting. So if he's a meeting short of getting an average it could be a backdoor way of getting him a 4+ average. The issue is finding a 4 pointer to replace him. Nobody stands out so it might not be worth getting him a higher average yet.
  15. Just checked the international fixture list. The Polish meeting takes priority.
  16. Surely unless this meeting is rearranged then they get no facility?
  17. Wolbert and Worrall won't fit. And if you do sign Wolbert he won't be in reserve. If you sign anyone in about 5.5 of more to replace Bailey then Rose drops to reserve.
  18. What's that got to do with using averages to determine how well riders are doing? And to answer your question, just about every American sport and they seem to be doing quite well.
  19. Worrall for Holder gives you between 6 and 7 points to replace Bailey too.
  20. Surely it's got to the point Holder has to go. Drop Holder and Bailey and bring in two 6-9 point PL (Championship) riders. Worrall, Lawson, Palm Toft and Heeps would all be better as a pair than the 5-7 Holder is getting and would drop Rose to reserve too. Most importantly it's gets rid of the piss taking Holder from GB speedway.
  21. Fair play to Rosco. I thought he'd gone mad when he picked this team in the winter. The guy clearly knows what he's doing. Yet another good meeting from Bellego, he's not had a bad meeting this season. But then neither has Morris. Can't see KK lasting much longer which is probably also bad news for James Shanes as if KK goes Poole will probably have points to play with.
  22. Nick Morris 10.06 vs Lindgren 10.31. Nothing in it tbf. If we're talking form I'd say that as Morris starts from a lower level he's on better form. Yeah, sure they do. That's one of the more stupid things posted I here and starman has posted 1000s of times.
  23. Last year wasn't too bad but it was the exception rather than the rule.
  24. Lasse Bjerre would have done more (just don't look at the Rye House score!) Do BV have a team manager? Give 4 riders to Payne and Smith?! Bewley should have had a ride for each of them. Yet again Lemon failing to make changes. Doubt BV will be too worried. Somerset won't be in the play offs and most teams tend to have that odd slip up. But equally a great result for Somerset who have shown what they can do. A change or two once Tungate average drops could see them shoot up the table.
  25. I take full responsibility for Lasse Bjerres appalling score after saying for weeks what a great EL signing he'd be. Oops!
