  1. If there was talk I was about to get dropped I'd be taking it easy so that my averaged stayed low! He'd be mad to do too well.
  2. my post was a dig at starman and his random, totally out of place saying😂
  3. Sometimes you just have to look in the mirror and say, "when in Rome"
  4. Heres the problem with the rules. Once a decision has been made it can't be changed. So all clubs have to do is lie and by the time the lie has been found out it's too late to do anything about it these days. Shocking. I was told 2pm Thursday KK was "available" but wouldn't be there. How odd that ended up being true.
  5. Punctures would generally come under bad luck. But there was a meeting at Newport in 2001 where the Swindon riders kept going into the 3rd bend through a rut and getting punctures, that was stupidity. No excuse anyway, I once saw Robbo have a puncture out of the start at Newport and still win the race! He did a lap with the tyre completely off the wheel, God only knows how.
  6. I'm amazed nobody has signed Bjerre. He's a bargain in his average. I said so when Coventry signed him and I stand by it now a few meeting in.
  7. Nicolai Klindt is an everpresent at Beaumont Park in 2017. Something over half of Leicesters team had failed to achieve by meeting number 2. Only in speedway!
  8. I know that since time began people have put their clothes on the washing line to dry. But you've just convinced me that mankind is stupid. I'll just put my washed clothes straight in the cupboard.
  9. But Poole say that once a facility has been sanctioned the original rider can't come back in. Somobviously in the spirit of fair play, Poole will make sure Adam Ellis doesn't ride. Or Poole will admit they're talking crap and KK could have rode yesterday.
  10. Theres no such rules. Or how have Swindon got Adam Ellis back tomorrow? They must have declared r/r for him previously. Obviously if it's fresh in Pooles mind about reverting back to your original rider from a facility they'll be appealing Swindons use of Ellis tomorrow.
  11. Can't argue with they but how did they work out for Birmingham? They had a poor team, crowds dropped and they went bust.
  12. Weird, the rules didn't allow it. Why would he bother. Also weird that there were flights available last night and this morning. That's the joy of the internet, skyscanner exists for us to see exactly what flights are available
  13. Youre the one clutching at straws. You're making up rules. KK was available and so KK should have rode.
  14. The residents of Brandon and Binley Wood are very pro-speedway/stox.
  15. No it's not. It can be interpreterated in any other way. Rye House have priority. The issue with speedway isn't the rules are so difficult, its that they're abused and ignored making it hard for the average fan to understand what the hell is going on.
  16. Fortune? The flights last night and this morning were anything from £39 to £150. The most expensive flight I can find for today on Skyscanner is £102.
  17. Reserves can take as many r/r rides as is necessary, so in theory could take 4 r/r rides.
  18. If KK meeting was postponed at midday he could have got on any number of flights to the UK tonight. No excuses. There should be no facility, he's had 23 hours to arrange a flight to the UK.
  19. Taxi for Watt. And fair play to BWD, really stepping up this year. Started very ordinary but two big scores vs Rye.
  20. Or, and this is a wild guess, he's just not good enough and you could put him on a 600cc engine with the bets parts stuck on it and he'd just not that good. Some riders always look good riding around on there own, every time Jon Armstrong signed for Newport the fans at P&P had him down as being a 7 or 8 point man that season but come tapes up for meeting 1 he was still only ever a 4-5 point man.
  21. How much money do I have? But I'd scrap the OAP rate and focus on under 30s and give them a cheaper rate. Everyone under 18 would be free. Meeting would start on time (or allowing 10 minutes for a parade) and be over in 90-120 minutes. The rest is filler, the concept of 4 riders doing 4 laps is brilliant. TRs, R/R, Guests, averages, points limits. They just don't matter. Nobody understands F1s rules but loads watch it. The rules just don't matter, its the presentation that needs sorting.
  22. And if it's anything like the M4 and M1 by "smart" what they mean is the damn thing will have a 50mph limit so they can screw the motorist out of money. The M4 through Newport catches 80 people a day speeding, because the limit is set to low!
