Guy Gets Thrown Out Of The Stadium
SCB replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Over zealous prat! In the past when I have celebrated riders winning I have been pulled back, thank God this year they were not so bad where I was leaning over thr front of the top tier. Just goes to show it depends where you are and what stewards you have by you. -
Steves a good guy. However, I have backed Bomber since day 1 and how proud am I? Who else has 250/1 e/w on his being World Champion? I'd give every penny to see him do it too, I don't care about the money anymore. Seconded. I said thats at the start of the year, give Chris a crap track and he doesn't care. LOL. Who gives a rubbish? (an approve smilie but the forum wont allow it, grrrrr) Thanks (an approve smilie but the forum wont allow it, grrrrr) Jason gets some stick but he's a great person as well as a speedway rider. He wants to win (shocking) but he is so sporting these days, he is a credit to our sport. Short of swapping Craig Watson for Greg Hancock I could not think of a better top 3, so I loved last night. Seconded (of tenthed, if it's a word as a few have already agreed with you) and as anyone who knows me will know I'm as patriotic as they get (an approve smilie but the forum wont allow it, grrrrr) Seconded. Typical British sports fan. Negative, negative, negative. Support a Brit and look what can be done if they have some talent? Maybe if we got behind our boys we'd see them winning GP's more often. Lets hope this is the start of a new begining, not just for Bomber but for British speedway. Sod the Poles, Swedes, Russians, Norweigans and Australians. Supports the Brits. Can any Brit really claim that was not the best possible feeling last night? I know as a patriotic Brit and a Jason Crump fan I felt a millions times better last night than I did last year. Craig, Nevs. Spot on. I was in tears, i was proud. Bomber is the man. I was crying last night and had to wipe a few tears today. It's great isn't it? seconded. (an approve smilie but the forum wont allow it, grrrrr) BOMBER FOR SPORTS PERSONALITY OF THE YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As someone earlier said, Bomber is the original Bomber. I vaughly remember the GP days and my dad saying "he'll be in the GP's one day" and I definatly remember that race win. His first CL season, his first PL meeting, his proffesional race win, his first GP, his first GP win. Seen it all. (an approve smilie but the forum wont allow it, grrrrr) and to think I vaughly remember Chris Harris is a St Austell race jacket. Amazing. This is the most emotional and proudest post I have ever made and I thank you Bomber and lets not forget Chris Andersen, Brian Andersen, Norrie Allen, Avtar Sandhu and Colin Pratt for sticking by him in 2004 and 2005, Colin Hill (RIP, no doubt looking down and smiling and thinking "I gave him his chance in the PL") the Annear family for giving his his chance in the CL and unsing heros who have helped Bomber get where he is today. I can't stop smiling BOMBER, BOMBER, BOMBER.....

Every year my parents have been checked, until this year. However, this year I was checked. I had no drinks but 3 air horns and 2 cameras, they let me in no problems. Good job I'm a good person and did not throw the air horns. I agree, it's money orientated.

Traffic For Cardiff
SCB replied to Young Saint's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
By then, all the shoppers will be gone, so as long as you don't try and park right by the stadium you should get someone to park quite easily. As I said further up, even if you park in the NCP at the other end of the city centre its not too far to walk, 10 minutes at the most. -

Surely Ivan Mauger has enough contacts to pull this off on his own? -
Good Pub's To Eat In At Cardiff?
SCB replied to Lis's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I assume we're talking about Burger king. If you are, they're not frozen and they do ti to melt the cheese on the burgers They do it at all Burger Kings, take a look next time you go in. They're not frozen burgers either. So if this one IS doing that, then it's a bit naughty! -
Traffic For Cardiff
SCB replied to Young Saint's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Theres so many options I guess it depends what time you get to Cardiff. Teh later you arrive the further you have to park. Even if you park in the NCP car park at the opposite end fo the city centre (Dumfries Place) its no more than a 10 minute walk and if you like you can do some shopping There's a few cars parks and plenty fo signs, so finidng somewhere to park should not be a problem. -

Good Pub's To Eat In At Cardiff?
SCB replied to Lis's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
The last time I went down there a forum member (who shall remain nameless) bought himself some chicken and chips, 5 minutes later when the est of us went in Burger King he got upset and bought himself a large Burger King meal too! I cna only asusme the food is not very filling, or said forum memebr is a fat <beep> That would be by the city centre then, which is where you are anyway TBH, if you get that far, you've gone too far, turn back! -

Don't I know it!! Went to Cardiff in the week to try and get a job and had to take out a loan to get out of the car park!! Wish i'd walked now, would have been a lot easier (after doing something very stupid ) and a lot cheaper! Also, anyone in South Wales know why Newport and Cardiff are redeveloping at the same time? (knocking down car parks, closing down shops) Seems stupid, While Cardiff is choas, Newport should being doing all it can to gain, not making the city centre a mess. Right now, South Wales is not a great place to be with re-developement and numerous road works. -
HAsh brown, beans, a lump of cheese and some Roysters crisps No, I think he makes a good point. Silver Bee and a source of heat is not a god combination! We want to be able to eat this breakfast
-
beatsie clearly didnt, as he told Jay to ignore his warning about where they can be used
-
Cardiff is Wales, NOT England There's normally people there by mid-day! Nevs is normally one of the first to arrive, best ask him what time he's getting there I'm aiming for 12ish.

British Grand Prix - Unique Experience
SCB replied to Mick Bratley's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
A great gesture from Hans, and of course Johno with his fundraising too! -
I think you're right
-
lyin? Ha!! We get to the pub for 12 but that means an 11ish train by the time it gets us to Cardiff and we have food, for that we have to get a 10.30ish bus (my sister informs me 10.26) which means 1 of the 3 of us will have to get up what I early (anything before 10!).

Good Pub's To Eat In At Cardiff?
SCB replied to Lis's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Theres a lot of fish and chip shops on the two roads by the stadium, never found one that I consider any better than any other. Plenty of food places a little further away but still in the same area. -
LOL.
