  1. Sounds like a bitter and twisted tiggers fan,
  2. Probably wants too much money, more so, as this is the last team place left in the league, so riders know the place has to be filled, so it's probably a major sticking point, promotion budget V riders (whoever it is ) demands
  3. Think a stock car or a greyhound man interested in buying/leasing the stadium, was said at the enquiry, also a bit in a past speedway star, and Matt ford is interested in running the speedway, all that needs to happen is the owners to sell up !!
  4. But the way you went on and on saying the team was sorted, when lots of people said it definitely not sorted, who is in the wrong big style ?? maybe in future 1 post is enough rather than going on and on saying you know best, when it seems you know nothing at all have a good day give us a big C
  5. Will be able to fly out on a Saturday morning and be in Poland by mid/late morning. He's not on your bus Geoff
  6. Yes a good interview and it also clears up, that when the interview was recorded no more than a few days ago the last rider HAS NOT been signed yet
  7. Clubs should stick to a budget, and some riders should live in the real world, not being totally greedy, then some of them will have a team place and being able to make a living from a hobby, how many youngsters want to be full time speedway riders with 2 or more bikes and a van
  8. Even mighty Poole are 10 pages behind the comets
  9. Yea but dome riders have a high opinion of themselves and want more money than offered, then feel hard done by not having a team place !!
  10. £25 must be the Glasgow admission price !! Worky and others are £20 granted it should be less for a diluted product but yhrm in charge can't see this !!
  11. Berge has/had gone AWOL in past seasons, and that's before polish, long track and grasstrack commitments at weekends
  12. Just looked at Wikipedia and it does say Workington, very interesting
  13. Totally agree the sooner the full team is announced, some people will then decide whether to buy a season ticket. Season Ticket sales help cover start up costs prior to the new season before money comes in via admission to meetings
  14. In his interview in speedway star several weeks ago said he was stuck with a over 8 point average, and due to several seasons of missing speedway due to injuries, I would not sign him
  15. What about Jonas Knudsen ? Is he free at weekends to ride for comets? Got just over 5.39 average, been to most tracks before and scored ok, should score more in a diluted league
  16. Hopefully comets management are working/ keeping to a budget and the last rider whoever it is is holding out for more money to fill the last team place ?
  17. Belle Vue on a good bus route along the A57 buses run every 10 minutes during the day early evening, we're every 20 minutes at nite a few years ago, so easy access from city centre, just try and find a hotel in your budget, but Saturday nite is premium price for city centre hotels these days, several premier inns around the city centre, the one near arena has/had parking at £6 last year, I've booked the city centre Salford one at £130 a nite which appears to be going rate for a Saturday these days
  18. Still plenty of time, last year in premiership Ipswich did not announce the last rider till 2 weeks before the season started, and look who they announce, no other than emil
  19. The finn IS very good, let's wait and see how he does, and if the top 2 riders keep their demons at bay, who knows what could happen looking forward to getting behind the comets home and away
  20. As suspected Ben barker 1st name for Ben fund meeting
  21. As many as can squeeze in was told that Ben fund organisers book riders for the meeting, but suspect Dan bewley and Ben Barker will be riding, and with the Peter craven meeting on the Monday some big names could be wanting a blast round the Northside arena
  22. Guess we will wait and see, but IF they keep their heads, and the Finn and Aussie score to their undoubted potential, the comets could do better than expected, just look what happened in 2018, when all the predictions put comets at the bottom H18TORY
  23. Plenty of room for interested spectators, come down to sunny Cumbria and join them, we will gladly take your admission money off you
