  1. Hopefully comets management are working/ keeping to a budget and the last rider whoever it is is holding out for more money to fill the last team place ?
  2. Belle Vue on a good bus route along the A57 buses run every 10 minutes during the day early evening, we're every 20 minutes at nite a few years ago, so easy access from city centre, just try and find a hotel in your budget, but Saturday nite is premium price for city centre hotels these days, several premier inns around the city centre, the one near arena has/had parking at £6 last year, I've booked the city centre Salford one at £130 a nite which appears to be going rate for a Saturday these days
  3. Still plenty of time, last year in premiership Ipswich did not announce the last rider till 2 weeks before the season started, and look who they announce, no other than emil
  4. The finn IS very good, let's wait and see how he does, and if the top 2 riders keep their demons at bay, who knows what could happen looking forward to getting behind the comets home and away
  5. As suspected Ben barker 1st name for Ben fund meeting
  6. As many as can squeeze in was told that Ben fund organisers book riders for the meeting, but suspect Dan bewley and Ben Barker will be riding, and with the Peter craven meeting on the Monday some big names could be wanting a blast round the Northside arena
  7. Guess we will wait and see, but IF they keep their heads, and the Finn and Aussie score to their undoubted potential, the comets could do better than expected, just look what happened in 2018, when all the predictions put comets at the bottom H18TORY
  8. Plenty of room for interested spectators, come down to sunny Cumbria and join them, we will gladly take your admission money off you
  9. Probably the same as other tracks about 90 minutes or so for a meeting,
  10. Good to see local firm GT Tyers has agreed to sponsor comets for another 2 years, info on website and social media
  11. It's very exciting at worky looking forward to what the next level of racing is like, but BEN fund first . Hope you enjoy your visit
  12. Doubt it, hopefully the comets promotion will be clued up, been lots of media interest locally so far
  13. Apparently more than 1 club was after signing the young German, regardless of the gender, imo what I saw last year she would get a 6-8 point average in the NDL, which is similar to bother reserves in the championship, and your 2 reserves if it does not work out for said team and rider, look at the publicity so far, and shudder to think how much publicity for speedway (and the comets) can be gained in the build up to the 1st meeting
  14. A lot of people now can't afford to attend speedway every week, a couples cost is £50 a meeting, so every few weeks as it is now is more affordable
  15. Like a few on here got reservations about our last signing, yes a big name (was) but probably an expensive signing living on the big name, but several under performances last year leave a lot to be desired, like his show at the pairs !!! Hope troy proves me wrong, I will be supporting home and away whatever team we have UTC
  16. But Compton was a hard rider, not out and out dirty/reckless rider
  17. Hope naughty auty is not the last signing, after his previous exploits at Derwent park
  18. You live and learn I'm sure its been mentioned on the Glasgow thread as well
  19. Probably on website as well, the PR person is normally very good at putting news out on all platforms
  20. Wow 5 days since any Poole fans have posted on here !!! Too busy infecting other clubs threads A happy new year to you all, will be in Poole in may when the comets come visiting
  21. Oops too late more pollution on other teams threads by pirates fans
