The track could have been poor due to a very very wet winter and not being able to get on the track prior to a couple of days before the meeting. I live on the outskirts of Workington, just dug me garden over and the soil is the wettest I've known in over 30 years 😧. Always dig over late teens of march.

Video on Northampton shaleway Facebook page showing the inside mud/grass bank being removed, so it's level on the inside for Speedway. So some progress being made on the infostructure but still silent on team and no publicity 😧

Unfortunately due to the upcoming fuel crisis 😧 I don't think many people will be prepared to travel to Northampton or anywhere else for that matter

Another thing about the trophy presentation, it took that long to get the riders back onto the centre green that their was only a couple of dozen people left in the grandstand. It's not only belle Vue that it happens it's most places, the presentation should take part immediately after the race, not 10 minutes after

Maybe good news the council owns it, as if as the poster says the football club may go pop . But the said person does talk a lot of hot air at times 😜

About 12 days since it was announced, yippee we have a 6th track 😀 The season has officially started, proper fixtures start next week, but still no team members announced no team name, no names of who is running the club 😜 so I presume that because of these missing items no publicity can be done 🤔. Shambles

Can I ask who ultimately owns the stadium is the football or council ?

For a media day to happen someone has to organise the event and get in touch with various organisations to be available. But going by what has or has not happened over winter, it looks like them in charge of British speedway haven't got a clue, so probably won't be a media day

Allegedly a crowd of 6000 reported, but the following weeks back to usual levels

What about the people holding up the advert sheet behind the pallets podium, good job it wasn't a windy night otherwise they would be flying over Manchester somewhere

Forecast rain from early afternoon clearing ? by tea time depending on how much rain falls could be touch and go if the meeting goes ahead. Will wait until late before buying the stream

Maybe by the 25th April the daylight could be enough to have a 6 o clock start time, to avoid a clash, I'm sure the reds will have a bumper crowd for a possible last match at the original borough park.

Unfortunately blame the electric company for the unfortunate clash, electricity north west are due to install/connect Northside arena to the mains but as far as I'm aware, have given no firm date to do the job before the season starts Workington speedway have to have a plan to run meetings going forward, it's no good changing times at a moments notice

Harry has been all over the press / TV talking about his horse this week. Maybe in the next few weeks he could use the same contacts to promote speedway, the sport he has been made a figure head of 🤔

Yes I see what it says, but imo draught beer won't work, as you have the liquid standing in pipes for what could be a couple of weeks between fixtures, this would need flushed through,at a cost / waste to the club. As you may know beer goes stale, and theirs nowt worse than stale beer 😧

Don't think draught beer will be on. Think they are still doing cans only, It's the problem of people bringing their own booze into the stadium, as said in the statement it goes against licenceing laws, and reduces any money the club could make,. Also as said in statement nearly all venues restrict taking own drinks/ food into said place
