Wot a big surprise Dan Bewley is riding at Ben fund meeting let's see if he is bringing some big name friends -
Plans going forward for bar and food in 2 newly installed portacabins on middle of bend 1 + 2

A few years ago a Glasgow number 1 was on a lot more than £100 a point and another was on a very very high guarantee whatever points he scored. Apparently

A good thing for comets promotion is that every penny that comes into the arena, admission, car parking, food and drink, sponsorship etc, is all their own, no rent to pay, but you have more costs than riders wages, other major costs need to be factored in to the equation, like medical costs, insurance costs of electricity/generators, track equipment etc. In the interview Steve lawson said a break even figure of 600, which imo will be easily achieved, let's get behind the comets promotion and be like Oxford then speedway will be here for many years UTC
-
We haven't got Pooles money, so IF the last signing is Vissing, I think he will have to lower his wage expectations a bit, as imo that's number 1 money, not 3rd heat leader money. Maybe Mr Shovlar can ask Matt Ford if he will help the comets out

Hopefully before Easter weekend that's when the 1st matches are

Is that the same person who hasn't posted for a while, despite a few days ago, thought it was his/hers personal forum page
-
Sounds like a bitter and twisted tiggers fan,
-
Tracks too big for him !!
-
Probably wants too much money, more so, as this is the last team place left in the league, so riders know the place has to be filled, so it's probably a major sticking point, promotion budget V riders (whoever it is ) demands
-
Think a stock car or a greyhound man interested in buying/leasing the stadium, was said at the enquiry, also a bit in a past speedway star, and Matt ford is interested in running the speedway, all that needs to happen is the owners to sell up !!
-
But the way you went on and on saying the team was sorted, when lots of people said it definitely not sorted, who is in the wrong big style ?? maybe in future 1 post is enough rather than going on and on saying you know best, when it seems you know nothing at all have a good day give us a big C

Will be able to fly out on a Saturday morning and be in Poland by mid/late morning. He's not on your bus Geoff
-
Yes a good interview and it also clears up, that when the interview was recorded no more than a few days ago the last rider HAS NOT been signed yet

SGB Championship 2024 Confirmed Signings

Clubs should stick to a budget, and some riders should live in the real world, not being totally greedy, then some of them will have a team place and being able to make a living from a hobby, how many youngsters want to be full time speedway riders with 2 or more bikes and a van -
Even mighty Poole are 10 pages behind the comets

Yea but dome riders have a high opinion of themselves and want more money than offered, then feel hard done by not having a team place !! -

£25 must be the Glasgow admission price !! Worky and others are £20 granted it should be less for a diluted product but yhrm in charge can't see this !! -
Berge has/had gone AWOL in past seasons, and that's before polish, long track and grasstrack commitments at weekends
-
Just looked at Wikipedia and it does say Workington, very interesting
-
Totally agree the sooner the full team is announced, some people will then decide whether to buy a season ticket. Season Ticket sales help cover start up costs prior to the new season before money comes in via admission to meetings
