Most city centre hotels are now priced around £150 or more on a Saturday nite, with or without events on, but you would not know Geoff as you get free digs with driving the bus by the way have you priced up the Keswick premier inn, £175-200 a night!! So Cardiff is cheaper

Enjoyed watching on TV last night, went last year, could not go this time due to holidays, but have booked a hotel for 2024, yea not cheap, but it's a great weekend catching up with friends from worky and all over the country, bring it on

Seen the kid 3-4 times this year at worky, very impressed for a 15/16 year old can gate can overtake and not a one line pony. When Workington closed in 1981 I still followed speedway, traveling to Bradford, belle Vue Middlesbrough etc and the one off championship rounds. Never lost the interest still got speedway star, no forums back then, Today still following speedway lots of away trips, worky been reborn twice 1999 and 2023 I'm still enjoying the journey

On a positive speedway is back in Workington, the northside arena set up is great, the track is great, big thanks to Andrew Bain and Steve Lawson , I'm enjoying following the sport ( still ) since 1970 But today's meeting we'll !! I was predicting a deafeat today, R/R can handle, but 13 last places, and carrying 2 riders, who are well off, one not even on the pace, defeat is the only outcome, should be winning home meetings and competitive away, Had a large crowd in today, how many will return for the last home match against Kent ?? Gonna keep the faith onwards and upwards

A very enjoyable meeting last night at the NSS some very good racing, the travelling comets fans had a enjoyable visit, close meeting, if a couple of comets could gate better we could of won, unfortunate todays return could be very different belle Vue back at full strength against comets poor gating!!

Imo it's too early for the Comets to move up, need to have another year at this level, the people in charge of speedway need a good plan to what is going to happen in the future as its is now around 4-6 track may not be running next year, top league needs to attract some clubs to replace the ones who will/may lose their stadiums, could go on with more reasons. But it's speedway day weather looks OK get down to the northside arena and enjoy watching the comets win (hopefully)

Should be an interesting meeting today, track should ride good, belle Vue back at full strength, Comets put on a good show last night at the NSS a very enjoyable meeting, BUT the riders need their gating shoes on ,as last night all struggled to gate, and a couple of riders were very off the pace!!!
