  2. Unfortunately Geoff looks like Kelsey has a broken wing. So could be out for a while.
  3. Think tonight's win for the comets is the 1st time the bullets have been beaten at home !! UTC
  4. 2nd meeting at the northside arena for these 2 old rivals, going back to April 1970. Can only see a comet's win after seeing the team at berwick winning well UTC
  5. Agree and the metors win as well a good band of travelling fans making a bit noise, part 2 at the northside 2morrow
  6. Just went to buy an advance e ticket for tonight, but surprised that it is same price as on the gate, may have to be more organised and book before the days event !!
  7. Supporters bus coming over and a few cars, hope you got plenty of beers in the bar, be good to support the comets at an away track again UTC
  8. To me that's common sense, but this does not exist in speedway, and would upset Godfrey and co if we tried . Also a fixture that has only been put in the calendar in the last week !!
  9. Nowt wrong with this week's star. as plenty of Workington coverage in it Hopefully same this week #UTC
  10. Geoff tough as it maybe, but Kelsey only keeping Luke's seat warm for a while, give the full time comet extra experience, on a better note what a great afternoon of speedway, onwards and upwards UTC
  11. Also said drink/food would be available on 1st bend area as well as marquee which is towards turn 3 in among the trees
  12. E that's right great to have the comets reborn thanks to the management and sponsors to get it this far UTC
  13. It's all on Cumbria crack these days geoff
  14. Another thing that may not help pre booking, is that the Northside areana is fairly remote so may not have full phone reception to scan any pre bought tickets, will certainly be no fixed phone lines to run reliable WiFi
  15. Early days yet but looking like the weather gods are comets fans looking to be fine and sunny on Saturday. UTC
  16. As I returned to Cumbria was still raining at 11.30 rain all the way home, some heavy, but good news for me was less daytrippers on the road
  17. Was just trying to put same on here. So break into your piggy banks and come down to support the rebirth of the comets UTC
  18. Bugger travelled down from Cumbria had a cheap £40 city centre premier Inn, looks like more beer tonight
  19. Went down to press and practice, I've seen the track before, but not seen live bikes going round, just WOW. !! The viewing is high up from wherever you stand, the track is smooth and looks to have racing lines all over. Roll on next Saturday good luck to the team and management . Just hope the weather gods know the speedway is starting
  20. Dry day so far with a bit of brightness and warm ish, will be interesting to see how the track rides. UTC
  21. Parking available on a grassed area (looks well drained) inside the Northside areana also a car park on LH side 50 meters passed the speedway entrance, besides the sea, also if going to busy would think parking would-be available on one side of access road, if people parked safely and properly, may need too as Steve Lawson suggesting a crowd of 2000 in his interview last week. UTC
