  1. Well at least I was right about the Bears reserves being stronger tonight ! A very unexpected result, whilst Lambert still fails to impress only Mulford was inconsistent tonight and Bears benefitted. Bandits riders were the inconsistent ones.
  2. Ooops! must put my glasses on when filling in my fixture diary🧐
  3. As I rotate between Workington, Berwick and Redcar most weeks think I’ll take the two legs in this weekend. Can see Berwick winning over the 2 matches winning easily at home and running Bears close at Redcar. I’d have them down for the win there too but think the Bandits reserves might struggle to match their opponent's around Redcar. Bandits too strong at home and Bears individual riders are just too inconsistent. Just hope to see two good speedway matches.
  4. The Speedway Star reports have become the Daily Star style….dont let the truth get in the way of a good story. By the time Wright is fit enough to do two meetings in a week Bears season will be over but I’m glad he’s able to earn some decent wages at last even if it is in Germany-Poland.
  5. Klindt has a history and will be expensive as he knew he was the only option. The others less so as they are reasonably sensible in riding for clubs where they actually know they will get paid on time and don’t appear to chase the money and change clubs every season.
  6. I would be very surprised if the club could afford to have both of them in the team as they won’t be cheap to run and how many changes would need to be made ?
  7. Yes…a true fan of speedway , not a win at all costs sort of Man Utd type trophy hunter, and by the way, I’m not from Redcar , I’m more a neutral now my team have gone.
  8. Think you are being very unfair as four paid 5 from three rides on an away track is a very good return. Jenkins was poor at Redcar and obviously the change has done him good, that’s just the way it goes sometimes.
  9. Bears riders inconsistencies costing them again. Richings getting vital points at the crucial time gets Cheethas the 2 league points.
  10. Not really as he was always going to racing in Denmark, just like Richard Lawson who’s missing at Poole.
  11. Kennet ā€˜missing’ or banned ? ( for going missing )
  12. We all pay our money and we all have an opinion. The fans called for changes ,they got one, now you don’t like it and want another one. Perhaps some have more patience than others. Lets face it , Bears are not strong this year and probably won’t win anything but is anything in speedway currently worth winning ? Some of us are just thankful that Redcar produces good racing and hope that continues.
  13. Big gamble if they do. Wright will need time and there isn’t much of that with a thin fixture list.
  14. Spoken like a True Fan…..NOT! it’s not like there’s lots of options out there but I do think the riders lack of consistency is costing the club dearly. the T.M. needs to be more ruthless in his tactical changes perhaps.
  15. Think over two legs the Gladiators will have enough to win. Bears now look vulnerable without Wright.
  16. So kids aren’t allowed to react like kids these days ? As for his ā€˜pit crew’ you mean his Dad ? who got hold of him and stopped it escalating. Think you’re the one overreacting.
  17. All these expert analysists who weren’t even at the meeting. The view from up above the entrance to the third bend showed that Cairns went for a gap that wasn’t going to be there for long and clearly took out Pijpers front wheel, not on purpose, just youthful enthusiasm, but it did happen.
  18. Just got home myself, took my daughter to this meeting for the first time, don’t think she’ll be back. We were on the back straight and got covered in dust. She went to the portaloo but came straight back saying it was ā€œdisgustingā€. We moved to the home straight stand which was a decent view but she struggled with identifying riders and the inaccurate announcing didn’t help her trying to fill in the programme. Sent her for food and she missed several races and said she was bored watching the tractors. Guess it’s just us oldies who think all this is acceptable. Some good racing and the right rider won although I’m not a fan of refereeing by VAR !
  19. Would you allow him to tell you where to live ? He’s been riding for years, so knows what’s best for him , and that’s his priority….HIM.
  20. As a SPEEDWAY fan I thought this was a very good meeting on a surprisingly good race track….well done the track curator. As a Bears fan ( sort of ) I’m astounded at how inconsistent the home riders are . A couple of impressive race wins from Edwards and Mulford added to two poor rides, Allen started well, finished poorly, same with Pijper. Lambert was trying hard and deserved a bit more than his 5 points , same with Scott but the whole team were consistently outgated or outpaced down the back straight by a battling Scorpions side who deserved their win. Decent crowd and only a little dust coupled with loads of kids an ice cream van and no freeloaders from the moto x track this week.šŸ˜„
  21. What are you insinuating ? He was riding at Ipswich last night , so what does it matter ?
  22. Then close your eyes when his races are on or just watch the tractors between heats 4,8, & 12….
