Would be funny if we see Bowes or Newman drop to reserve

They’ve done fantastic to bring in a Top number 1, possibly the best in the league. They are probably a number 5 away from competing with anyone and everyone. I hope they find one

I would’ve thought having known that they’d have points to play with once Pickering average reset, they’d of had an idea on changes

I haven’t dug through the averages but they’ve got so much room to strengthen, could they entice a Worrall back?

Can only see a Poole win. But hopefully Scunthorpe put up a fight and we see some good racing. Do we expect the scorpions to make some early changes? With Pickering average coming down and them having points to play with now?

Tough decision that will need to be made. Although Dan I’m sure has a higher ceiling, if he’s not fit enough to ride now I don’t see him getting to 100% in the coming months. Newman has been fantastic and in my opinion is undroppable. But he’s got a few more meetings to keep doing what he’s doing.

In Zachs defence, he wasn’t going to do championship and only did it after a bit of extra persuading after the Anders situation. Maybe the promise that they’d be much more lenient in allowing him to miss meetings, as the championship this season, is rightfully the bottom of his priorities

He scored 6 from 4 rides there last year riding at 3. But the Plymouth team on that day was horrendous. Littered with guests. He’s done a good job guessing for us in the past, Sedgman would’ve been my choice with his meeting PP. I don’t think 4 points will be enough but hoping for a surprise

Did anyone have a better view of the 2 incidents last night? looked to me in the first one that Toby would’ve been deemed the cause of the stoppage and therefore excluded, Richard looked to off been just ahead on the outside. Was surprised Richard was thrown out of the rerun. With the Cooper one I can see why Cooper was excluded. But again he did look ahead, but probably overly eager. Best wishes to Toby and hope to see him ride again this season.

Assuming it’s back to 7:30 start. 6pm I’m sure you’d get a space, and worst case scenario you’d be directed into the school car park, I usually get there closer to 7 and have never not been able to park in the main car park or school.

Assuming the Poole management would already have a plan for Zach tomorrow, is it R/R or is there a guest to come in?

But the poor neighbours have finally built a competitive team. Which is good. It’ll all come down to which riders have put in the most effort over winter in order to hit the ground running. From Poole I only know of Zach, Kyle and Will having meetings, is Bowes 100% fit? Hopefully the tracks good, the racing is competitive and the pirates win!

Can someone explain to me why his average isn’t 8.0? 8.2 minus the British reduction is 7.995 which of course rounds up to 8. Is it so they can have him and Jepperson? I’ve got no problem with him being at Worky and I wouldn’t want him out of a job. But I do disagree with reducing a riders average so a team can fit them in. I know it’s only 0.01 and I know that they’ll likely have points spare on their team overall. But just wondering if I’ve missed something.

On for the quadruple then this year!

Not strictly Poole related, but glad to see Ben Cook still in British speedway with him back at Kingslynn next year. If Poole were to ever move back up would certainly hope he’d be one of the first names on the team sheet

Poole have signed a fantastic rider so people have to start talking about the track, a track that has some of best racers around come back year after year, Holder Ward BenCook Harris. The track talk is boring, and is only a topic as Poole tweaked it to benefit them vs Glasgow

I don’t necessarily disagree. But interms of scoring points next season, I think Bowes will average higher than him. I also think that Poole will be ready to bring in Beau Bailey towards the end of the season if the opportunity arises

Not convinced they have stronger a stronger 1-5. Lawson was the best rider in the league last year, we don’t know how the unknown Glasgow riders will fare, happy to have Zach over Rowe and Howarth. Bowes outscored Mitch Mcdimrd last year. A fully fit Riss trumps Kerr and Flint but will he be fit? Killeen Gilkes and the new German are all close on paper. Certainly happy with the Poole team and happy that the league is looking more competitive, not seen a wooden spoon team just yet.

I feel like Pooles team this year is built to have Rushen in it, if Rushen wasn’t signing. Then I think they’d of looked to of had a Hagon or Foord at reserve. And maybe of missed out Bowes. I think those Poole fans who are in the know, would’ve of said if Rushen wasn’t signing also.

Yep was just about to say this, when lt mattered last year Zach beat Howarth 2 times in a row on his own track, and would’ve been 3 had Howarth not rode through him earlier on in the meeting. it’s tough to compare Pooles team to Glasgows as 2 or their riders I’ve never seen. I fancy us over Redcarr and also over Oxford, although we don’t know Oxfords reserves yet so it is too early to say. I agree that Glasgows have certainly laid down a marker, but we will be there come the business end which is when the medals are up for grabs

Lawson’s average would be higher if he didn’t pullover to let Thompson pass him. masters on paper is a better points scorer yes, but Lawson interms of team riding I’d say is better. I certainly prefer Lawson but then I’m Bias, but Masters is a good argument. I disagree that Howarth is better, would take Zach all day long over him, Rowe and Palovaar. Morris is a little unknown for me, did look good on his comeback, but then he’s capable of being the best rider in the league. Riss has had some horrible meetings round Poole. And Nichols is a great number 5 but again, I think Zach has passed Nichols now. If Morris hits the form he can then I’ll give you that!
