Wonder what our select team at Redcar is going to be then..... I am so grateful for the Bears for being able to put this meeting on, although I am unable to attend due to work 1. Steve Worrall 2. Max Clegg 3. Lewis Kerr 4. James Wright/Connor Mountain 5. Ben Barker/Richie Worrall 6. Adam Roynon 7. Archie Freeman

Really feel for James, he's not really a rider I've followed much and don't know a lot about him, however it's awful seeing him so disappointed and worried about his health and progress, I would love to see him back on a bike, enjoying himself again asap, but I fear it'll be a long while before that happens again. The life of a speedway rider, who'd want it? Hope he recovers fast, and that he can be supported by the Ben Fund.

Still nothing!! Season starts this month lol, this is very unlike Belle Vue

So... It's just me that thinks the Swindon team looks way stronger? -

Frederik Jakobsen is the best reserve imo

No mention of the final signing? -
23rd March vs Peterborough... I'll be there that's for sure... Might need to open the full backstraight... Always loved Emil, he's such a brilliant rider and an all round nice guy, I really am so excited to see him in the uk... I guess I'm an honorary Ipswich fan this year then? Well done Chris Louis, you deserve a medal... And for those who are slating Emil for being Russian, get over yourselves...

The London Acid Attack -
I've seen Ben ride numerous times, at poole, Redcar and I'm pretty sure newcastle. He's absolutely class.

I imagine if Peterborough can pull off something similar to Ipswich then people will care again, but I don't see it... Would something like Lindback and Bjerre fit? I imagine it's going to be Pedersen and Andersen though? Which tbh doesn't make it a bad team, just a bit underwhelming after all this wait. Peterborough is another team I need to come and see this year, it's a track I've never been to and Basso will be there
-
As far as I know Josh lives over here and has a job over here too, but I could be wrong. And he was on Twitter asking for a team spot in 2023 also, so he must be willing to come over if he isn't already.
-
Fingers crossed, I will be making an effort to get down for it whenever it's on, hopefully... Might even have Jason Doyle and Emil in the line up
-
Very good looking side imo, them, Poole and Glasgow are my top 3 for next year. As much as it pains me to say, I'll probably be visiting Redcar a few times this season, with the demise of the Diamonds So I am glad to see such a strong team of exciting riders out on the track. Redcar is actually my closest track anyway, 15 minutes up the road rather than the hour it took to get to Brough...

Always happy to be wrong, just had it in my head they were the rules, read it somewhere on here when it was first announced but I forget which thread it was
-
Depends... If Emil's signing means that Ipswich are very successful and make it into the playoff finals, then new people from the area may attend, there's always those fans in sports that only turn up if a local sports club of any kind are successful... And once they're crap again they stop coming Also are the rumours of the returning 16 lapper event true? I hope so, sounds like a brilliant meeting but never got to see it for myself

I wonder if the likes of Josh MacDonald could ride in the NDL on a 8.00 average? Or is there a ruling to how experienced a commonwealth rider can be? I'm sure Josh is still in this country looking for a team spot...?
-
I'm sure I read it on here somewhere And of course if it was on here it must be 100% correct And George Congreve who has a 4.50 average? (i.e. no CL experience) And as far as I'm aware James Pearson will be in the NDL? But that might be a load of old sh!te also... Only confirmed commonwealth rider is George as far as I can tell? I would imagine that Jacob Hook's average will be no higher than 8.00 anyway (x2 his CL average) Has Jacob been confirmed anywhere?
-
1. Erik Riss 2. James Shanes 3. Danny King 4. Danyon Hume 5. Charles Wright 6. Jake Mulford 7. Jason Edwards Personally, however I think Mulford and Edwards will be swapped.
-
It's my understanding that any commonwealth rider with CL experience would come in on an 8.00 and any without CL experience would come in on a 4.50 average

What's taking so long??

I do have a soft spot for Plymouth so their last signing means a lot to me. I'd personally like to see someone with a bit of track experience in the Championship already, could be important with someone as fresh as Ben Trigger at number 7. What about Josh MacDonald? He's posted on Twitter that he's looking for 2023, could be a risk though with a year out with injury, but could be brilliant equally.

Admittedly, I agree with you however, I've seen him ride a few times, in Denmark (small tracks), Sweden (dodgy tracks) and Poland (snooker tables) and he looks one hell of a talent every time I've seen him, I'm quite excited to have him in British speedway tbh. Obviously he might not master the likes of Monmore or Beaumont right away, but he will have the likes of Jason Doyle and Danny King in the pits to guide him on set ups etc, and talent + set ups must equal something... All he needs is 4 points a meeting, so he only really has to beat other reserves and possibly other number 2s anyway to start with. Just my opinion of course, he may ultimately struggle, who knows.
