What people are saying (Myself included) is that Ipswich will win the title if injuries don't strike because it's clearly the best team on paper, Jason Crump basically said this on the Premiership Press Day as well. Torun withdrawing Emil Sayfutdinov's starting permission in the UK is another bullet that Ipswich have to dodge on route to success. If they avoid both of those scenario's then they'll win the league for sure imo, But if they don't avoid both of them then it's all to play for as it brings Ipswich, Belle Vue and Sheffield closer together in a more even playing field.

Ipswich will more than likely feature heavily in Televised meetings from August onwards. All 4 Play-Off Meetings and probably 2 regular season meetings as well imo.

Agree, Think most fans were puzzled at the time as well. Antti Vuolas situation is similar to Keynan Rew's when he first came to the UK, Ipswich had to be patient and wait a year to get any return on the investment. Antti Vuolas will get better with more experience, Just a case of whether Birmingham are willing to be patient and if they're not then like you've just said, They shouldn't have signed him in the first place.

Vuolas is a rider with potential but he's at the wrong club at the wrong time imo. Birmingham fans are sick of losing at Home and patience is thin, The fans need experienced riders who are ready to do a job now just to get a few wins at Perry Barr. Riders who've got potential to become a good rider in the future are a good fit for top end clubs because they've got the firepower to still win meetings on a regular basis. Tate Zischke at Belle Vue being a prime example of that.

Whether the RS scheme is fiddled or not will always split opinion but if we're going with the theory that it's legit then the one thing that really is stupid about it is this. Going down the NFL route of rewarding poor performances over the course of the previous season. Whoever finishes 1st in the previous season should get first choice and whoever finished 7th should get the 7th pick, Not the other way round where the top team gets punished for having a successful season by getting the last pick the following year.

Agree. The way KL's 1-7 has been built all the pressure is on the No.6 to score a dozen plus in every meeting to compensate for the lack of firepower at No.1/No.5. If the No.6 doesn't go well then King's Lynn will get hammered.

Ipswich 66 - 24 Oxford Riss would've top scored for Oxford imo but without him I don't see where 2nd places are going to come from.

It was the sandy beach race surface at the start followed by the blue groove towards the end of the meeting that made the Ipswich 1-5 look ordinary. Jan Staechmann didn't have a single positive word to say about it on his track walk either and he even used a bit of French in the process.

I see your point but I wouldn't have expected much from him tonight, He's a good rider but his profile has been glorified by being handed GP spots based on him being from Czechia. I would've expected 4-6 points at best because he was never going to beat Bewley or Kurtz and he was always going to finish last (On paper) in Heat 13.

Jan Staechmann's track walk was brilliant. Full on truth telling and he knew it was going to be abysmal from the get go. I wonder what Jan may have said on bend 4 because BSN certainly made an edit during that part of the track walk.

Take a bow Dan Thompson and Jordan Jenkins, These two young lads are riding out of their skin by stepping up and covering for experienced riders who aren't at the races yet. Danny King almost single handedly cost Ipswich the meeting with a braindead choice of gates, What on earth was he thinking by putting the Witches on the back foot from the get go by choosing 2 & 4 which then gave Birmingham inside gates towards the end of the meeting as well.

Harris at reserve is going to cause Sheffield a massive problem. King's Lynn to win this one purely due to the fact that Bomber will likely take 7 rides and should score over a dozen points.

DOUBLE BELLE VUE -4.0 @ 10/11 and IPSWICH -10.0 @ 19/20, I'm also covering the Hcap Ties @ 11/1 and 8/1 Kurtz & Bewley should go unbeaten on paper and Lidsey should also be set for a good night. Birmingham don't match up well in any department against Ipswich.
