  1. Going to sound disrespectful to NDL Riders but somebody has to speak the truth instead of lying....So I'll take one for the Team. If all of these NDL Riders that some Fans keep going on about were even half decent, Then why haven't they been snapped up by CHAMP Clubs left, right and center? Why are CHAMP Clubs still opting to use Riders like Paul Starke to fill a reserve berth? Why are CHAMP Clubs still opting to use 4.00 Newcomers to fill a reserve berth? The simple answer is......Because most of them are No Hopers, Who will never make it in the Sport to a point where even CHAMP Clubs can't be bothered to invest in them.
  2. It's not even about the PREM with me anymore, It's all about the thing that keeps British Speedway fuctioning (D/UP Scheme) The D/UP Scheme is that Block in a Jenga Tower that you don't take out because if you do, The whole thing falls down.
  3. Because British Speedway is going to die regardless. British Speedway can't function without the D/UP scheme. It's Riders like Chris Harris, Richard Lawson, Danny King etc. who keep British Speedway alive by riding for Two different British Clubs in Two different British Leagues every year due to a severe lack of decent riders. Most foreign Riders simply don't want to ride over here and that's why we're so heavily reliant on the D/UP scheme that keeps PREM & CHAMP clubs functioning. Once the D/UP scheme collapses then the entire house falls down as we simply don't have enough decent riders to fill 14 Teams and from 2027 we're extremely limited in what British Speedway can do in it's search for Riders. Two Dozen NDL Riders isn't the solution because the Attendances are atrocious due barely anyone caring and if the current crop of die hard fans don't care about the product, Then why would anyone else care?
  4. I'm now starting to believe that this is no longer about the PREMIERSHIP with a couple of members on here tbh. I think it's more to do with an Anti-British Speedway ideology and for British Speedway to die, They'll need the worst outcome possible and that's..... 1. 5 Man Teams being propped up by 5.00 Pointers and NDL Riders in a 14 Heat Format. 2. Severely unbalanced Racing that see's very experienced British Riders like Harris, Lawson, King and co. threatening to lap NDL Riders multiple times in the same night. 3. NDL Riders competing 6 Times in 1 Night, Instead of the usual 4 (On Average) at NDL Level because they know full well that NDL Attendances are abysmal due to a severe lack of interest in the product.
  5. Be honest Mike. Do you actually care about British Speedway?
  6. Danish League run a 5 Man Team format. But take a few minutes out of your day to look at those 5 Man Teams that Danish Clubs put out. They're propped up by GP Riders, Ekstraliga Riders and the Best of Danish. Those Top Riders compete in 6 or 7 Heats Per Night in that 5 Man Team Danish Format. We can't get anywhere near that standard due to Rider Availbility therefore we'll be left with Riders like Jack Smith and Paul Starke competing 6 Times in 1 Night.
  7. Rob Godfey is more hopeful of keeping the Two Tier Structure in 2026 (Speedway Star)
  8. British Speedway simply can't fuction without the D/UP Scheme and a Two Tier Structure that see's PREM Clubs footing the bill when it comes to British Riders. I don't buy certain excuses and obstacles when it comes to Glasgow and Poole. Both of these Clubs would be Title Challengers in the PREM, They wouldn't be carrying on from where the Spires and Brummies left off. For example -> Poole are very close with the Holder and Cook Brothers. Every route / avenue hasn't been explored until these Two Clubs have made the same effort as Oxford did when they put British Speedway First by stepping out of thier comfort zone. Yes it didn't work out.....But will all due respect to Oxford, They're not a Club like Glasgow or Poole. The Sports future in the UK shouldn't revolve around One Club's Fixtures against Berwick and Edinburgh. The Sports future in the UK shouldn't revolve around One Promotions favoured Race Night.
  9. BSPL have got to try tbf. If we're going down then we have to go down swinging instead of throwing the towel in.
  10. With all due respect to Oxford, They aren't Poole.
  11. Correct call in blocking Sheffield's CHAMP application (If true) Whoever buys Sheffield should have it be known in advance that Sheffield have to run at PREM level (If it remains)
  12. No because I don't agree with the Ford's Wednesday Night excuse when I've seen a Wednesday Night Club in Oxford making every effort to put British Speedway First.
  13. Then PREM Clubs can't have a PREM in 2026. If a CHAMP Club has to make sacrifices to prop up the PREM then they'll have to have something in return. It works both ways and a compromise will have to be met.
  14. I'm not even being biased. Some Promoters just haven't got with the times and it's backfired on the Sport as a whole.
  15. Not going to be a hypocrite. Belle Vue and Ipswich would have to put the most Money in considering they're the two most vocal Clubs in regards to a 6 Team PREM.
  16. To easy the pressure a little bit, It would be better to go down a Football Transfer route of installments. If everyone could agree on giving 50% up front and then a signed contract by all parties stating that the other 50% will be paid in full at the end of the season. They'd have to honour the other 50% because they wouldn't stand a chance in a court case if they even tried to pull a fast one.
  17. Logic says.....Sacrifice Poole. I'm not being nasty here so please don't take this the wrong way. Osborne has them lined-up so Poole don't have a long term future to risk. Any talk of a new Stadium is just that because we've heard it all before. Wednesday Night excuse shouldn't be given the time of Day because of the Osborne situation and the fact that Wednesday Night Club Oxford have already put British Speedway First. The only real stumbling block is finances but surely a compromise can be met with PREM Clubs chipping in to help out financially? It'll basically be a case of put British Speedway first on your way out, Bide us some time and we'll return the favour by making sure that you break even financially.
  18. PREM doesn't work (I'll admit) but it slows the death process down considerably. CHAMP can't operate at all in it's current format and it's heavily reliant on the D/UP scheme and British Speedway can't afford to scrap that scheme due to Rider Availbility and the 2027 Polish Rule. NDL attendances are abysmal due to a severe lack of interest in the prodcut, So the BSPL can't put faith in a CHAMP/NDL merger to save the day. If the BSPL want to get as many years as possible out of the Sport in the UK then a sacrificial lamb has to be caught in order to keep the Two Tier Structure and the Rider Sharing D/UP Scheme. If they're not worried about getting as many years as possible out of the Sport in the UK, Then sack off the PREM and start the downfall in 2026 and wait for the Polish 2027 Rule to finish us off entirely. A decision will have to be made soon because this can't continue to drag on for much longer.
  19. It's not about saving the PREM anymore, It's about saving British Speedway that's so heavily reliant on the Rider Sharing D/UP Scheme. 2027 Polish Rule is going to cause so many issues for Britain, Denmark and Sweden when it comes to Rider Availbility.
  20. If a Wednesday Night Club like Oxford can give it a go, Then so can the other Wednesday Night Club Poole.
  21. If Oxford can put British Speedway First, Then so can others. If it doesn't work out after 1 Season then they can always drop back down. Scottish Derbies and Wednesday Race Night's are nothing more than excuses that are being weaponized because they simply don't even want to make an effort to try and save the Sport in this Country.
  22. Whatever happens.... Chris Louis has been severely let down by certain other British Speedway Owners and Promoters. Everything Chris Louis does when it comes to Ipswich is with 100% Effort, Passion, Pride and Love for the Sport in general. Unlike certain others, Chris doesn't make up excuses whilst putting obstacles in the way of everything.
  23. Good post Matt. Unfortunately they'll never put the Sport First as everything is done with a Me, Myself and I outlook.
  24. I'm just being honest because somebody's got to speak the truth. The PREM Promotes the Best British Youngsters on a regular basis with the Rising Star Scheme as well as Riders like Anders Rowe who get a Team Place in the 1-5. Only Two British Youngsters can be added to that list are Will Cairns and Cooper Rushen and as long as Two Tier Structure remains in tact then I'm sure that we'll see both of those Riders in a PREM Team in 2026. If every NDL Rider was good then CHAMP Clubs would be snapping them up Left, Right and Center.
  25. I think I've heard the same rumour, Been posted on X and on here. With CHAMP Clubs pushing ahead with 2026 Announcements / Plans indicates that it's just rumours. If they're not rumours then CHAMP Promoters are just setting themselves up for backlash by wasting their time whilst getting their Clubs Fans hopes up for no reason like Redcar for example who are set to announce a 1-7 built within a 40.00 Limit consisting of Wright, Mulford, Edwards, Jenkins, Allen, Pijper and Scott at the Chrimbo event. That's the 1-7 I've heard anyway.
