  1. I wondered when Mountain was going to rock up at either KL or Pboro.
  2. bet365 are over exaggerating today's qualifying imo, The track will change and the riders teams will have a few hours to work on the bikes. Fair enough having these bets at odds against after qualifying but they really shouldn't be this big imo just to qualify for a SF, How many times have we seen riders go well in qualifying and then have a poor GP later that day? Fricke Over 7 @ 14/5 Lambert Over 7 @ 11/4
  3. Will Laguta actually turn up on Monday? Rumour was that he's not riding Ipswich, Leic or Wolves tracks.
  4. Feel for Riss because he's clearly not right but he's just trying to continue to earn himself some money, Has he always put his goggles on at the last second when sat at the tapes? As for the season the blame lies fully with the people who thought it was a good idea to put 150% faith in Danny King and Danyon Hume whilst chucking Keynan Rew in the deep end from the get go when the young lad had no experience on British tracks.
  5. Surely they can't be given a facility if they decide to cut ties with a rider due to budget cuts.....Then again it is British Speedway after all where the majority of the rulebook means nothing.
  6. 100% shocked and 0% apologetic Buster needs to find some cash because KL don't have a pot to pish in apparently.
  7. Wouldn't be allowed with the cut off date for transfers but then again rules are made to be broken when it comes to British Speedway lol.
  8. Problem is any rider who turns out to be good would then get a proper GSA before 2024 rather than an assessed GSA which would be a disadvantage to Ipswich when it comes to team building. May as well try out some new faces next year on assessed averages rather than giving jobs to the same old faces.
  9. Would be a shoe in for Sheffield to replace Kerr imo if he's leaving Peterborough. Too late for Ipswich to make the top four now so you may as well stick with the 1-7 and hope some riders lower averages now with one eye on 2024 team building.
  10. It'll be a championship rider replacing Laguta. Wouldn't be shocked if it was one of Castagna, Mountain or Heeps.
  11. Think PTA could be onto something with Barker replacing Tarasenko, Could be the main reason behind CJ finally saying F it by quitting last week.
  12. Buster won't be involved in Speedway at all next season imo so I think CJ and Tomalin are playing the waiting game to lower the price. Short term suffering for long term gain????? That's just wishful thinking though from me.
  13. Buster will just run our club into the ground if he stays anyway. I can't see Tomalin backing him next year if we do come to tapes after Buster turned him over this year (Holder).
  14. I hope so for his own sake. It's sad watching the club legend these days when we've got so many good memories in the back of our minds.
  15. He's already improved in his last two meetings, Would've got at least 8 last night if he didn't fall in one race. Sheffield would regret it if they released Ellis imo, He's one of the most solid engine room riders in the entire league imo. Having an up and down season but he's capable of scoring double figures out of the blue on any given night imo.
  16. Poorly built Ipswich side has finally seen the final nail go in their 2023 coffin. Can't have a tail end like that in the top league and get away with it, Putting all your eggs in one basket hoping Doyle, Emil and King put up over 40 points between them (Inc TS) isn't going to wash against proper opposition.
  17. I don't like Buster at all but I don't want to see British Speedway lose anymore clubs. The sport in this country is in a bad enough state as it is, I hope everything works out well for KL in the end.
  18. It is his fault though, KL wouldn't be in financial bother if Buster just let Tomalin complete the Holder deal, KL's future being plunged into doubt is mostly based around the Holder fiasco at Tomalin when you look at the bigger picture. Tomalin would have covered the finances at Peterborough therefore Buster would only be paying for KL riders instead of 14 KL & Pboro riders. KL wouldn't be in the alarming mess they're in because Buster would've just made two changes to get the team back within his price range after Brady bailed and it would've been business as usual. Now Buster has been left paying for 14 riders that he simply can't afford due to falling out with Tomalin, Buster now needs Tomalin to save his ass.
  19. You can't put out mid table Championship teams at Premiership level and expect the fans to turn out in numbers just to see an uncompetitive team go 20-10 or 21-9 down after 6 heats almost every week. Especially in these times when mortgages, household bills etc. are sky rocketing, You need to give the fans a reason to turn up, Come and watch our understrength team get battered isn't going to wash unless you want to reduce admission costs to £10 an Adult and kids for a £1, Fans may turn up then just for a night out. But they won't be rushing to get in at £22+ other expenses per night to see the opposition cruise to 4-2's and 5-1's in almost every heat.
  20. I still stick to what I said on night one. Brady and Buster have had a falling out, I think the family reasons is just a polite way of not airing the dirty laundry out in public. It really is simple, You don't sign a world class very expensive talent like Laguta when you're planning to call it a day with a couple of weeks knowing full well that the owner (Buster) would be left in a position where he doesn't have financial resources to cover the overall costs. Buster would never have agreed to let Brady sign Laguta if he knew that Brady was planning to walk either because it's not how he operates.
  21. Only logical thing. I watched the BSN stream last night on my season pass and theirs no way KL can afford Laguta with those attendances. You need deeper pockets than ever before in this game now and Buster doesn't have the resources for this day and age, Budget teams that are way below the points limit getting battered by 20+ every week will only turn more people away.
