Narrow home win for Leicester 46-44
-
Yes the promotion we’re aware of the football clash
-
Think they are running on Tues even if clashes with football to get some funds into the club, could get to end of April and ridden away 6 times and only 2 at home if no other rain offs before end of the month

Scunthorpe Scorpions V Workington Comets 29/3/24
InTheDeepStuff replied to paul84's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I attended yesterday and even thought it took an age to get the announcement out that the meeting was off it was the correct decision, especially as it started to shower with rain again that point. I’m just hoping that Scunthorpe honour their admission ticket, as popped into the pits from bend 4 entrance when that was opened by the club to speak to a couple of friends who were due to ride and mechanic and left via the pit exit/entry without getting ticket stamped, if not that’s the last £20 that will leave my wallet and go into Scunny’s coffers -
Do they need more time to prep the track for stock cars than they do for speedway and with dogs being on 6 days a week they just can’t do it in time for Monday? Forecast looks to be improving with only showers now around mid day on Weds and Thurs and not the usual 95% probability!!

Brummies v Tigers 25/3
InTheDeepStuff replied to Manifesto's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
If this one beats the weather I’ll hopefully be off to this one, can only see an away win for Sheffield, unlike the Oxford visit all the Sheffield riders have prior experience of Perry Barr, even though Birmingham should have upper hand at reserve the top 5 of Sheffield should see them through, so going for a 40-50 away win -
Witches v Aces Thursday March 21st

Belle Vue fallen lucky with no Doyle for Ipswich (no disrespect to Scott Nicholls) for their visit to Foxhall, they can’t be as bad as their last visit there, can see this now being very close with a 2 point win for Belle Vue -
Oxford vs Sheffield - Thursday 21st March
InTheDeepStuff replied to Bojangles's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Will be at this on Thursday, I think Oxford will just sneak it by 2 and it’ll be mainly down to 3 of the Sheffield riders never racing at Oxford before and that just happens to be the 3 heat leaders, if they each take a ride to dial in could be difficult to grab those points back, Sheffield need big points from Pickering and Howarth who have ridden there in 2023 and the 2 reserves in Gilkes and Edwards need to be picking up points against opposite numbers -
Oxford v Birmingham Thursday 14th March

Any news on Wright after his Ht8 spill? -
Confirmed line up for the meeting http://www.sheffield-speedway.com/news.php?extend.3440 Got to feel for Kyle, when he was given this date by the BSPL there were no other meeting scheduled, now there’s 2 meetings and a meet the riders night at Ipswich taking out vast majority of Premiership riders, defo been screwed over by the speedway hierarchy, a lot of last minute changes for him and his testimonial team to sort out can’t imagine the stress that will have caused, hopefully enough punters turn up to make the night a success and doesn’t leave him with hole in his pocket having filled out money to get this meeting on
-
Still no news on P&P, could it be Weds 20th March ahead of first league match?
-
What would Parkinson-Blackburn come in on? Know he’s burnt a few bridges in the past but one of few riders at this level who will have had plenty laps around Owlerton where half the home meetings will be

British Final 2024
InTheDeepStuff replied to Hackett's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
Be interesting to see if any of the riders who race in Poland ride in this as there’s league matches over there Friday-Sunday. Wonder if any of the clubs will put the usual demands on riders to concentrate on Poland -
Well deserved testimonial for Kyle, one of those riders who gives 100 % and always has time for a chat with the fans. So we know the meeting will be one of the first ones of 2024 and will be Sheffield Tigers 2024 v World Select. Great that Kyle has lined up the 2024 Sheffield team and good that they get some bike/track time ahead of the new season. It’s a shame there’s two league meetings that’s clash with this and that obviously narrows down options for riders based with UK clubs, hopefully we get to see some riders that know the fast way around Owlerton (and maybe some new or old riders to the UK) and make it a good meeting
-
The Championship is all that’s left to him now unless he signs a Warsaw contract in Poland hoping to get a team spot when the window opens again
-
Picko 100% back in 2024 with Edinburgh, it’ll be a bit of a tail between the legs return after pricing himself out of the Polish 1st and 2nd divisions
-
Zagar 100% will be a Brummie in 2024 following Lindgren deciding against a full season in UK
-
I think only change to that 7 will be Connor Mountain for Dan Gilkes

Great average after British reduction for 2024 after a year at a track that didn’t suit his style, having Scunthorpe as a home track will be good for him and the team, always scored well when I’ve seen ride at EWR be that for Sheffield or Leicester in Championship

Plymouth Gladiators 2024
InTheDeepStuff replied to jbell1995's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
100% that Kyle won’t be back at Plymouth and from what I’ve heard neither will Gilles -
If points limit had of been 41 instead of 40 then Jye would have had the number 6 race jacket at Sheffield
-
Must have used his Championship average to guest for Vissing as he was only in on a 4.00 I think,
