KING’S LYNN: Jan Kvech, Benjamin Basso R/R, Ben Cook, Connor Mountain, Niels-Kristian Iversen, Lewis Kerr, Anders Rowe. SHEFFIELD: Jack Holder, Kyle Howarth, Chris Holder, Josh Pickering, Tai Woffinden R/R, Jason Edwards, Joe Thompson. Looking at the lineups you’d fancy the KL reserves to score well I think if they score 10+ between them the stars will win comfortably. Picko had an absolute mare last time we visited can’t see him doing that in current form. The bonus point could be enough for Sheff to finish top so I’d be happy with us just keeping it close and coming back with no injuries ready to go into the cup final/play offs. 48-42 home win

Belle Vue V Sheffield - Mon 26th @ noon

Bizarre isn’t it. You can only beat what’s in front of you and until heat 9 there was very little fight in the BV team. The result was already cemented long before then and not very exciting for a neutral I'm sure -

Manifesto replied to Fozzie4388's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
After all the pile on over the Sheffield track are we going to discuss the joke that was served up last night? Or is Sheffield only track that’s allowed to be deemed dangerous? Both home and away riders couldn’t turn bike, riders falling through bends. Nicholls almost embarrassed to have to explain what was happening with the track on Eurosport -

Track is naff as it usually is most meetings we visit. Edwards useless as per, Harrison not going to finish a race and Howarth isn’t interested. I’ll stick footy on -

SHEFFIELD v BIRMINGHAM Thursday 15th August PL
Manifesto replied to Brummies_Ste's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Some great racing last night even though the result was never in doubt for Sheffield after heat 4. The track was great and the riders could pass inside and out which gave Pickering in particular more to go at than last week. Good to see the reserves score some Dan Gilkes looks very smooth at times, I’m not sure Edwards feel as comfy still he doesn’t seem to like going out towards the fence. Fast Freddy showed his class in the second half of the meeting looked very quick. Thought Lampart did well and could see the 100% effort from him could be a bargain on his average next season. Cook and Brennan disappointing they normally go well round Owlerton. Top 4 very tight not sure who we will get in the play off semis -

The straights are narrow at Owlerton but the bends are not wider.. remember at Sheffield they’re going faster and can really throw the bike into the bends -

I know it’s not I was just referring to the Ipswich fans jumping on the emil crash last week blaming the track shape/dirt on the outside before hearing the facts. -

That’s what they do.. Ellis injured last night due to Ipswich been a tight little narrow track or was it an unfortunate racing incident? Depends if you want to look at facts or just slag off riders you dislike and blame the track/club -

52-38 home win.. Brennan and Lindgren go well round sheff and think Zach Cook will win a couple. Be interesting to see how the track is after criticism last week -

Watch Emil on lap 3 he went for the same on lap 4, he clipped the fence before going into the bend and was carrying loads of speed he looked like he just lost it to me.. you are one of these who love to slag Sheffield off in any way so fill your boots Arch -

Exactly this. Both Holders were straight over to Emil, Chris was holding his head. How people can actually think Jack ran over there for an argument just shows the mentality of some on this forum -

Unfortunately air fence has taken a lot of room up as it has on many tracks. Hard to say whether Emil would have come off still if it was just boarding. In real time they both come in to that 3rd bend as hard as they could I genuinely think it was just the bike took off from Emil -

How have people turned this into a we hate Jack Holder instead of best wishes to Emil type of thread.. Typical Ipswich fans slagging the track off and riders, Foxhall is an absolute joke of a track as we’ve seen many times over the years the absolute cheek to slag Owlerton off is incredible. Jack and Emil threw bikes into that last bend after a fantastic race knowing the result was on the line and unfortunately Emil lost control of the bike, this is speedway and I have seen many crashes at different tracks in different countries. I wish him well and hope he is back on a bike asap. Great effort from the Witches team and deserved the win, our riders couldn’t get out the gate especially Picko and Chris. The reserves let’s be honest we’re pathetic apart from one race Dan Gilkes actually had a go. Edwards might as well of not bothered doesn’t attack the track what’s so ever, Jenkins had much less track experience round Owlerton and showed them both how to get round. They will cost us big time in the play offs and cup final. We desperately need Pickering to up his form and not sure how we go about replacing Tai -
Sheffield v Leicester - Thursday 1st August
Manifesto replied to InTheDeepStuff's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Expected a close meeting before and Leicester were really up for it. Thought Jack Holder was unlucky to get pulled up for jumping start in heat 10 looked like a good gate from where I was stood on bend 4. Picko and Howarth very inconsistent as they have been most of season, reserves poor in all honesty Edwards should of held on for 3rd in heat 14 just don’t look like passing ever but seem to get passed with ease. Will be our Achilles heel come the play offs -
King’s Lynn vs Sheffield - 29.07.24
Manifesto replied to StarBoy's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Shocking performance from Picko and he’d be first to admit it, thought he’d be scoring 10+ at his old track. Reserves poor as expected and a rare off night from Jack. Happy to get the bonus point and scarper without any injuries. We miss Woffy badly as he brought that balance to team allowing Chris to ride at 3. Well done KL on a solid performance I like Kvech, NKI and Lawson all fair riders. would like to see Anders Rowe in the Sheffield team next year -
Woffy has said he will try and be back for Cardiff so will be using R/R and guests for next couple of weeks at least until it’s certain if he can overcome his injury. the BV fixture is to be scheduled still I believe
