  1. With Anders, Kerr and Picko ex Lynn riders I fancy our chances to pick up a win here but my gut feeling says a home win by 6 points. Think the KL strength in depth will come good in this meeting with Sheffield picking up too many last places to get in front.
  2. Sad news for Doyle and Ipswich if true. Sickener to lose yet another world class rider for the season. Speedway recovery Jason
  3. Another very sad day for British speedway. Doesn’t feel like it will be long until this happens to my club too. Heartbreaking for the loyal brummies fans
  4. The track needed some water on it after heat 8 onwards very dusty indeed. But still, some fantastic racing tonight especially ones involving Jack Holder. Heat 15 was an epic pass on Doyley who shook hands with both Picko and Jack at the end of the race which was all good to see. two good teams going at it, much rather see a close meeting than a 60-30 drubbing. a couple of falls and a couple of engine failures added to the drama. Both will comfortably make the play offs, but Ipswich will definitely be the team to beat due to how good they are round foxhall.
  5. Always a tough one when Ipswich come to town. It should be an entertaining meeting both teams reserves have been scoring well, Adam Ellis has never come back to haunt us at Owlerton maybe this could be the meeting? Both teams have so many in form riders hard one to predict. I think if Chris Holder finds his usual setup that will see us through for a 6 point home win
  6. correct, if it makes more money for the club of course they will keep doing it. The tracks the same for both teams the aces riders shouldn’t use the start time as an excuse
  7. 👀👀👀😂😂😂 Brady Kurtz saved by heat 13 would of loved to see four 0’s on that race card
  8. Played out pretty much how people thought it might of except the poor performance of Kurtz at Owlerton was a surprise. solid scores 1-7 from Sheffield which is a huge positive going forward. Chris and Jack looked abit down on power tonight the track seemed a lot slower then the 3 previous meetings, all the same though a fantastic heat 15 from Jack and Picko. Bewley was very fast too real quality from him. the national league meeting provided some entertaining races especially the ones involving Rushon and Cairns, these 2 will go far in the sport
  9. I see it as the opposite actually I think 30 quid for 2 meetings is good value for fans. The NDL riders are raw but will provide some entertainment
  10. Unlucky not to come away with the win Sheffield. The tac sub in heat 12 won it for the aces. Good performance from Jack Holder and Flint in particular. Aces reserves a lot weaker than ours which should see us through for the bonus point later on, can’t see Pickering dropping that many points
  11. Seen Jack Holder have more good rides than bad round NSS, don’t write off Rowe and Flint they have both stepped up a gear this season expect Flint and Kerr to better the BV reserves
  12. 30 races for 30 quid is good value in my book. I can understand people who go to the BV meeting finding it a bit of a long old day. think Sheffield will take the bonus point, Cook and Blodorn not great round Owlerton and Lidsey can be very hit and miss. Kurtz and Bewley will have to score 12 each to keep it tight
  13. Looking forward to a great day of speedway, think both teams are well matched. For me the most exciting fixture in the league this season (so far) BV 48 Sheffield 42
  14. SHEFFIELD: Jack Holder, Anders Rowe, Chris Holder, Justin Sedgmen, Josh Pickering, Lewi Kerr, Leon Flint OXFORD: Rohan Tungate, Erik Riss, Charles Wright, Peter Kildemand, Maciej Janowski, Francis Gusts, Luke Killeen A very different looking lineup for Sheffield compared to the last 2 meetings. Kerr and Sedgmen drafted in makes us stronger at reserve but weaker in the main body. Picko put at number 5 makes sense as he’s been our best rider so far. think Riss and Wright will be the main threat from Oxford they can both ride Owlerton well and could get some points on board. Janowski looked good in parts last season so he could give the Holders a race or two. Tungate is horribly out of form but seems to like Sheffield. 51-39 home win
  15. If the Craig Cook who scored 16 points for Oxford last year could show up every week I’d have him. Unfortunately that was a flash in the pan
  16. Rowe has looked far better than a reserve as I expected he would, Flint has held his own as rising star (which we didn’t have last year), Sedgy and Kerr more than capable of scoring 10-11 points between them at Owlerton which is around what Tai and Hume would of returned. We have lost a huge rider and personality in woffy but we have to be real about the situation. If we can stay strong at home and pick up those bonus points that’s all that matters
  17. I expected Kerr and Worrall myself but the management have likely gone with the best options they had available. Kerr can perform at number 2 in the team if he gets his gating gloves on, Sedgy will drop to reserve once averages change and he will be a big improvement on Hume. big pressure on Picko to keep up the good start he’s had to the season. I still see us easily making play offs
  18. He was cruising last lap because he was that far in front. Probably the fastest on track last night barring possibly J Holder. Not many will beat those 2 round Owlerton on that form
  19. Another really solid home performance for Sheffield. Pickering has never looked as fast literally coasting round last lap every race to an easy win. Jack Holder provided some great entertainment in heat 10 and 15 after missing the gate, felt Klindt and Lawson rode a great line in each race but just couldn’t defend against a world class rider. Harris as usual was 100% effort looked very good in parts, heat 9 was a great race between C Holder and Bomber. Lawson and Klindt showed some fight and speed for the away team, but Cook and Kvech were nowhere which was always going to result in a heavy loss for KL. only weak link for Sheffield is Hume who doesn’t look comfy at all riding Owlerton. Feel for the guy he’s trying his best doing laps after the meeting but feel like he’s already on borrowed time. If we can’t find a like for like replacement for woffy can see a double change coming
  20. I’d be more worried about Kvech and Cook on tonight’s showing
  21. Don’t think team changes will be made even if Sheffield hit 60 tonight. Who are they going to fetch in? They need to win home meetings this season and keep away meetings close as possible
