  1. I think when you consider he knows a lot of the Grand Prix riders and tracks a lot he can see the good and bad of speedway and what not to do, he used to ride in Poland so understands their model, and he also runs the club very well… I haven’t really heard of many if any riders moaning about the club and how it’s run, it’s much the other way round and people really want to ride for the club and to be chosen. I think the fact the crowd is always good and probably the best attended in Britain it brings riders too. Ipswich has always been a town passionate for football and speedway and backs them very good… like Louis said, when the football team prospers so does the speedway.
  2. On a different note Doyle got me concerned in his first two outings, I thought his seasons of dramas were catching up to him. Then he wins his next load of races! I do wonder if he was entirely happy with how hard Ellis was riding him in heat 15, couple times he almost had him off! Although Doyle done well to win the race with a punctured rear tyre! 😂
  3. To be honest I don’t go to watch rider mistakes either, can you tell Tate not to ride straight into our air fence next time on his own accord.
  4. I genuinely believe Ipswich is more of a community and the surrounding area backs its team, same with football ATM. Manchester is just another overloaded city with probably more to do but also not as dedicated to its local club, obviously some die hards but I mean when you look at population Manchester should be able to draw massive crowds. This isn’t a dig at anyone from Manchester by the way! I’m sure you’ll come back with “because you have nothing to do apart from farm” 😂😂😂
  5. Last May bank holiday 😆 this crowd tonight reminded me of the Manchester Grand Prix, both had temp stands and both got a few thousand 😂 only Bewley didn’t win this one tonight 😅
  6. Imagine getting bigger crowds at our old Foxhall stadium with ‘poor racing’ and Belle Vue getting small crowd but having the most amazing track… best in the world in fact! Maybe some people from Manchester should visit it sometime 😉 😂
  7. Big crowd for sure and weather helped… but kings Lynn was the biggest gate this year on the bank holiday, tonight being a Thursday was a very healthy gate!
  8. If we take all three points they could go 7 points clear, depending on Sheffield away performance at Oxford. It’ll leave Leicester with a match to play but 7 points with only 4 matches remaining and beating in mind we have Leicester and Sheffield home and away it would put us in a strong position to finish top surely. Also to add Belle Vue will only have 3 meetings left and one leg has already been a loss to Sheffield so if we win today with all three Belle Vue cannot catch us, until the semis or final at least 😂
  9. 100% won’t be anything else but 1st vs 4th and 2nd vs 3rd. Phil Morris knows it was a poor decision and said it wouldn’t happen again. What is interesting is the fact nobody really knows where each other will finish, and all face each other still. My money is on a late charge from Birmingham and they take it all 😁
  10. My comment about probably throwing it away was focused on this years Cup semi final against Lynn, not the previous years.
  11. People talking as if Leicester are the team to beat, they lost the first round to Ipswich and in round 2 of fixtures they are 18 points down so I’m confident we can do a job on them in play offs, Leicester needed Brennan to win the trophy as he rode so well for them but it just shows he can ride their track very well. It’s ours to lose, but this is us so we probably will throw it away!
  12. Lidsey and Picko i remember how one race they were riding each other super hard inside outside and eventually Picko got it but at one point I thought they were coming off ! Good to watch though!
  13. Last night was point and case of that! Nobody wanted to attack the air fence from Belle Vue, Holder alluded to the fact he doesn’t like heat 13 when he had stiff competition and has to ride as wide as possible. Can I just add I personally think Bewley is the most likeable Brit we have, he is very down to earth and just feels like a guy who wants to get on his bike and push the limits, I think he has more about him than Kurtz who does give up more than Bewley or opts to not get involved, people give him a pass because of fighting for the world title but for me, Bewley gives more to Belle Vue and British Speedway. When Doyle hangs up his Kevlars I’d love to see Bewley down here (I know it won’t happen).
  14. That’s mad, a rider who signed for you officially at the start of the season, mapped his whole season for you and sorted travelling out and equipment plus mechanics etc isn’t allowed to come back when fit, there should be a break clause in the deal allowing him to return when required in my opinion.
  15. Disappointed not to see Jenkins named. He will need meeting to get up to speed so are we not backing him or what?
  16. If Belle Vue and Sheffield meet in the play offs I can see two big home wins for both teams which would make for good TV I guess!
  17. C. holder was losing speed as the meeting was going on, and he looked slow against Kurtz and Bewley last time out. picko would have been a better option. IMO only, which doesn’t count for much I know 😂
  18. Big question is… have Tigers done enough to take home the bonus point?
  19. Wow morris done well to hold onto that one! Was waiting for a massive off!
  20. Highlights of the Leicester vs Oxford match just came on and I had to turn my living room lights up… Jesus that place is dark.
  21. Kurtz just rode the ride of the night. I don’t need to see anymore haha
  22. Sheffield getting more fans now that Wednesday are in danger! Probably more Sheffield hooligans.
