You also spouted your usual BS about no new clubs ever opening again. Buxton and Northampton put paid to that ridiculous argument. So you were rightly mocked before and will continue to be…you utter 🤡 And that’s being kind. 🛎️🔚

And I also thought Peter Shroeck sounded rather downbeat last night given it was the first meeting of the season. Now we know why…
-
Then they have slashed the budget towards that. Unimpressive quality compared to what they have had before.

I was there last night and the fact that some of the toilets were out of order (more than one which you would hope would have been fixed before the first meeting of the season), some of the hand dryers had been removed, and the fact the programme was like something from the 90’s (I’m hoping that was just because it was not a regular league fixture) does not bode well…I’m hoping it’s all just a coincidence.

Was always going to. He has said that they are part of any contract that he has signed. KL will also see them this year, as will Leszno.

Could be a rain off looking at the forecast. Hopefully not though -

Bollo*ks more like. Another negativity know it all…🤦🏻♂️ -
What happened to Charles?

The worst part of all of this is that the damage and nature of what was done seems incredibly sinister, almost as if they have a grievance against the club. Especially considering they went back for more. 🤬

The club have just confirmed that another attempt was made last night by vandals to break into the track. Luckily the newly installed CCTV and security guards present prevented it happening.

The schools that Poole recently visited didn't have a problem. The football team where I live have regularly visited my daughter's primary school. Why wouldn't they want to participate? Especially if you are willing to give some programme space to promoting the various events that the schools hold. -

At the start of last year Speedway Star asked supporters for their opinions on how to improve British Speedway and I was lucky enough to have my own article published. In that piece I made the point that it should be made compulsory by the BSPL that ALL UK teams should visit a minimum of three primary schools in the local vicinity of their tracks in pre-season between January and March. It's their duty to promote both themselves and the sport to the local community, as research suggests the attention span for sports develops around the ages of six to seven while they are susceptible to social influence between eight and ten. Introducing pupils to an exciting new sport they may never have heard of before with bikes on display with a couple of riders present would be the perfect way to promote the sport. Visits to school fetes at the height of the season in summer needs to be compulsory too. -

Can't wait to see @R87 thoughts on Northampton opening, considering he spent the majority of the last year telling anyone that would listen that we will NEVER see a new team open up again in the UK, the optimist that he is!! Willing to give credit where it is due @R87 ???!!! Or will silence be golden? -

Not sure where you've got your figures from but Mark Webber, while he has plenty of contacts within motorsport (and is a current Porsche ambassador), is not worth hundreds of millions. -

There have been plenty of posts saying that there is no point as it won't survive beyond two to three years, the sport is a circus so it's a waste of time, it will have no fan base, the track won't be good enough for passing etc, etc, etc, blah, blah, blah. If that's positive and a good thing... You either haven't read the posts or have forgotten them. -

Congratulations to all involved. This is nothing but great news for British Speedway, despite what some might think. 😉 Good luck to them and hopefully the start of something big. 👌 -
Absolute scumbags. And they did it on consecutive nights too, as if one night wasn't enough. 🤬

And yet, here you are. The amount of moaning that five teams is not good enough, makes a mockery of the sport...a sixth team looks likely to appear and STILL moaning. 🤦♂️ -
Everyone can relax now. Confirmation the Witches are running. A year of consolidation in ‘26 with ‘27 the real acid test (much like the Premiership). I’m sure Mayfield will do a great job. Exciting times at Foxhall Stadium.

Simon Stead has stepped down as joint Team GB boss. Olly Allen will continue in his role.
