  1. Although we've seen it with NDL teams before. Most obviously Ashton Boughen.
  2. There was no Government enquiry. The sport's governing body the RAC (a private members club) commissioned an enquiry chaired by Lord Shawcross who was a crossbencher in the House of Lords.
  3. But Kvech QUALIFIED ( from the GP Challenge by being third best rider not otherwise qualified)
  4. Went to a meeting last season where I was able to wander in and out of the pits throughout the meeting. [Olching v Gustrow]
  5. So Patricia Erhart I guess? Of course King's Lynn already have an Asian rider.
  6. Comfortably, with Emil 2nd and Jack Holder 3rd [all 2023 official fixtures]
  7. Ht 2 Edwards, Long, Hoole, Clay Ht 10 Paul Smith, Long, Stonehewer, Clay Ht 13 Clay, Long, Troy Smith, Tagg (ret)
  8. Yes a much better PM than his predecessor.
  9. Gp A 1 Ipswich 17 (Cooper 12 & Lindup 5) 2 Coventry 15 (Clarke 8, Bacon 7) 3 Swindon 13 (Mathew Cross 11, Stephen Rose 2) 4 Cradley 9 (David Haynes 5, Matthew Powell 4) Gp B 1 Wolves 15 (Edwards 11 & Hoole 4) 2 Belle Vue 14 (Smith 12 & Stonehewer 2) 3 Sheffield 13 (Mike Long 9 & David Clay 4) 4 Reading 10 (Troy Smith 8 & Gary Tagg 2) Gp C 1 Bradford 10 (Larner 8 & Hill 2) 2 King's Lynn 9 (Adrian Stevens 6 & Roger Horspool 3) 3 Oxford 8 (Paul Muchene 6 & Kevin Pitts 2) Paul Smith was unbeaten apart from an exclusion in ht 5 of the final, and also recorded the fastest time (in ht 3 of final). Note all scoring 4-3-2-0
  10. Final Group: 1 Wolves 21 (Lee Edwards 14, Ade Hoole 7) 2 Belle Vue 20 ( Paul Smith 12, Carl Stonehwer 8) 3 Bradford 17 (Brian Larner 9, Phil Hill 8) 4 Ipswich 15 (John Cooper 15, Mark Lindup 0) 4 Coventry 15 (Mick Bacon 6, Trevor Clarke 0, reserves 9) There were three qualifying groups, with top 2 from groups A & B and winner only of group C advancing.
  11. Completely logical (although it really ought to go up gradually to 42) as it reflects the fact that riders averages will go up because of the low starting limit.
  12. Planning permission is not dependent on ownership. He could get planning permission (in theory), but couldn't then implement it without acquiring some form of ownership.
  13. There were exceptions, Tilehurst was full of 'teenyboppers' for (ahem) Gary Glitter in 1973.
  14. Can probably dig this out, but am on holiday at present. If you are still looking for the result in a week's time let me know
  15. Last I heard he wanted to come over but couldn't get a visa. Incidentally fellow Austrian Seb Kossler might be worth a punt for s9meone in the near future.
  16. Four times Nine podium finishes, more than any other rider in history bar Gollob.
  17. Nope it's 3.0000000000000000000000000 [72 rides 54 points]
  18. It is straight forward Whatever way rounding is done (and either is acceptable) - it should be applied comnsistently So lets look at the most recent precedent: 2021 end of season average - Max Clegg 5.40 2022 starting average 5.40 less 2.5% = 5.265 2022 starting greensheet 5.27 => an average of 3.00 less 2.5% should be 2.93.

  20. Nanna Jorgensen, and yes the PR surrounding it (lots of 'glamour shots') made it feel like a stunt. There is currently another Dane Maja Aamand who performs well in Danish Lge 1 (not far short of Tobias Thomsen)
  21. Seen her four times (in three different countries) and I'd agree with that assessment. Very professionally and personable.
  22. Fantastic when I saw him in Muerek last year, beating the likes of Rasmus Jensen, MJJ , Berge, Cierniak and Huckenbeck
  23. By signing a Dane who isn't good enough for the DSL. Last season he only rode in Div 1 (Saturday fixtures)
