  1. Starts tomorrow, but when did it change from being the Summer Trophy?
  2. I'd also recommend http://www.gbspeedway.com/2022/yearindex.php?mc1=x&mc2=x&mc3=x&mc4=x
  3. No. Possible concussion. Withdrawal was precautionary. There is a difference. We still await further news. But if if is treated as concussion then you are right about 12 days.
  4. I gather the interpretation of the IRR rule has been changed this week. It is once again the case that the injury must be a new one caused during the meeting. (Which is not what the rule actually says.) I'm guessing this is sour grapes from KL It is a very bad change as it puts the power in the hands of the medical officer (which is why it was changed in the first place)
  5. Well it happened (was it Dan Gilkes?) and so some promoter demanded the rule change. Not sure if it is still there though.
  6. I think the issue is that it is a shared event, so some of the decisions are out of the Oxford promotions hands.
  7. I'm amazed this debate is still running. Riders will accept guest bookings providing they fit in with existing commitments. They want to earn money. Teams will not stand in their way. After all next month they might be the ones needing a guest.
  8. Congratulations to Luke (and his teammates) on a podium finish in the inaugural 250cc European Youth Pairs.
  9. I'd guess (not claiming any accuracy) 400-450 for the first and 500ish for the second. (So as many as four or five Championship tracks I've visited this season)
  10. Unless the FIM reverses its position on participation of Russians it would be hard to sell a meeting where all the participants would be from countries other than Russia. Good for Hansi Weber though.
  11. Why? I can only see one rider I'd chose in preference (Pickering)
  12. They are too busy posting on the Internet about how to save British speedway by having better line ups that will bring the crowds flocking back and the need for more meetings other than league matches.
  13. Then why do you provide a totally irrelevant link about Sheffield council's policy for licensing of events staged Iin the public realm? MR is indeed best ignored, but it is quite possible he is right in this case. In general curfew conditions are attached to planning consents, and long running stadiums have been use since long before such conditions were common place.
  14. That's a rescheduling of a previously rained off fixture. The only one in Denmark for a month. And that to has been called off (24 hours in advance!) so Hans will be riding for Glads tomorrow.
  15. Because of early call-off in Denmark, Hans was declared in the Fjelsted team for tomorrow's match
  16. Agree. Sunday People expose followed by World of Sport dropping speedway were the major staging posts in that decline during the 80s.
  17. The administrators have to go by the insolvency rules. Unless season ticket money is held in a separate ring-fenced account then any unused part of the season ticket will be bottom of the list for repayment.
  18. Add in a few 'occasional' riders and your figures were pretty much spot on the 2002 numbers.
  19. That's true (and the odd Aussie too). Although even in 2012 the top 85cc rider in Denmark was ... Max Fricke
  20. quick look at my records - number of regular (approx > one third of fixtures ridden) 85cc riders
  21. New member on SOKKAR (Supporters of Kent Kings & Royals) yesterday: Connor King Are you thinking what I'm thinking?
  22. They are definitely self employed. (I'm an a accountant specialising in tax) and I know people who sort out speedway riders tax affairs.
