Are you usually this offensive? Do you have anger management issues? -

That seems to be quite a generalisation -
Well I imagine one member won't need persuading. But I suspect he will have to recuse himself.

You'd be surprised. It certainly isn't uncommon for an applicant to present the less savoury comments from the objectors on local community forums and the like in an effort to undermine opposition. And I can assure you that morons wittering on about brown envelopes did not endear me to their point of view when I was considering applications. -
Nothing retro about them, they are up to the minute fashion

Provided they could demonstrate that they had made a procedurally correct decision they ought to be fine. Basically, it was £400,000 plus jobs created and ancillary commercial activity vs. Speedway for a handful of Monarchs fans and a lower financial return, so you can see why they came to the decision they did. All this talk of brown envelopes comes across as childish and petulant and it is little wonder the views of speedway fans are given little weight if that is the best we can do. -
Period of mourning. No sport activities.

Barmy indeed. A friend of my husband has come over from Germany this weekend, principally to watch Fulham v Chelsea. We are reduced to watching London Irish v Worcester rugby. -
I even know one who has a regular column in the Oxford programme!

Standard procedure for commercially sensitive matters such as land sales. Nothing remotely out of the ordinary. -

Agree entirely with the additional proviso that the day of the funeral should be a clear day. (Was the 19th due to be first of Premiership play-offs?) -
But the history behind that state is that when League Cup fixtures were included in riders averages there were several high profile examples of average rigging to allow team changes that gave some teams what was perceived to be an unfair advantage. You can argue for inclusion ,or against, but it has to be accepted that neither will give ideal outcomes 100% of the time.

Aren't they all?

I thought you were replying to ukmartin's post If you mean last night the answer is still no.

No https://speedwayligaen.dk/resultater-runde-12-10-8-2022/
-
True, particularly if they are going to have mysterious "lack of medical cover" postponements
-
But Heeps' average is not established in 2022. It was established in 2021 therefore as he has an established 2022 CL average that takes precedence.

Wednesday 7th September - play off - Poole v Plymouth

Oh do grow up. Yes it was a stupid comment by C4G, but any decent solicitor would tell you the is exchange falls way short of being actionable. -
And the absence of any trailing of the BV fixture as "the last ever" suggests that an agreement remains likely. (How likely is something those closer to the club are better placed than me to judge).
-
I think those are pretty good estimates.

I asked this, and ascertained it is 30 September

British speedway is a joke.

There are already play-offs for football's League Championship in some countries. https://www.mlssoccer.com/news/playoffs-around-world-global-leagues-use-variety-different-formats-determine I'm quite surprised at how convoluted some of these are, and if something similar to some of these happened in speedway I'm sure there would be howls of derision and cries of 'only in speedway' ...well apparently not.
