Panthers V Witches 19/8/14
Crump99 replied to BluPanther's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Must say I've never understood the choice to stand logic? A 2200 capacity free stand with excellent viewing but people choose to stand, how strange! -
Rules all too often work on a sliding scale of a person's importance, wealth and/or intelligence. Fairness is a word to appease the masses!

Ban him for the rest of the GP season & put him in the 2014 GP Challenge.

Knowing him it's not your books I'm saving you from (oops, Dick got in there first so to speak, fnarr fnarr ). Anyway that's lowered the tone to FP's level so time to stop and move on Looking good for the upcoming fixture pile-up: UK Weather: Summer is over with cold spell and even SNOW forecast next week http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/uk-weather-summer-over-cold-4057643#ixzz3AYB7VLb5 Follow us: @DailyMirror on Twitter | DailyMirror on Facebook -

A speaking of sticking a nose in. It's Panthers alternative stiltonpanther: one's likeable, fair and gets on with everyone, the other is Flyin Panther. -

Don't get ahead of yourself, it's Peterborough after all! If this is true then why harsh? (assume they mean to ride for Mildenhall rather than miss Mildenhall meetings?) “In fact Joe had indicated to the management that he wanted to miss as few meetings for Mildenhall in the coming weeks, something which would have caused us a problem as we have pencilled in two more Sunday home fixtures.” -

Whereas that's been pretty standard at Peterborough since Bratley left. PL hasn't made any difference either apart from the odd occasion when someone remembers that fan interaction is good -

It's not going to happen anyway but since it was our original race night and the BSPA doesn't really want to lose the best race track in the country then I'd expect that they'd allow what works best irrespective? Personally I think the time has come to work with whatever dates are available at the EoES and forget a fixed night. Just name a preferred day but then just run when possible. We're used to a fragmented fixture list so it'd be no worse than usual. -

What he said, BPWM But based on Friday's not being a problem, I'll take EL Fridays 2015, or whaterever comes out of the 2014 AGM positive message going forward! -

Didn't realise that it was that simple! PL and regular Fridays in 2015 it is then, end of problem. Having said that, why did they choose Tuesday in 2014 saying that that was the only day offered by the EoES which allowed consistency of fixtures. -

So how are Fridays going to happen? If Frost couldn't get regular Fridays with his clout then Horton isn't going to get them is he? -

Will it be regular or scattered. If it's fragmented then Sundays will not make much difference apart from occasionally potentially providing a shot in the arm if it's the right team visiting. -

That's the same statement with more words. -
Well this was 5 years ago and here we are again looking at how we rescue the situation: "We will do this by developing the youth, reducing rider’s costs, helping clubs produce a better product for the public to enjoy and many other things. What people will hopefully understand though, is that this will not just happen overnight but will be a slow progression over the next few years."

I did my home work before I posted and did read post 4. I was surprised that he liked it but think "If you're tired, don't cream off the dollar in both Poland and Sweden and have a kip on Sunday or Tuesday." met his approval more than the stadium issues? It could be that we've had 18 pages of pie in the sky ideas which show that fans have had enough and the stadium availability issues need to be looked into as a priority. It may turn out to be an impossible dream but orion also said "Time for people in the sport to be brave", although Tsunami would ask him how he's going to pay for it! -

You know how they work though and you're a bright guy; so if the two bets were 1) A brave new world that'll cost a lot and is a massive gamble, or 2) We've been there but bust it so let's see where it bottoms out, at least that's cheap! Then where would your money be? I'd say scaring off Frost and Sandhu tells us how brave they are and which direction they prefer? -

If they were capable of drawing up, agreeing and sticking to a business plan then we probably wouldn't be in this mess? -

But will existing fans and lost fans turn up in sufficient numbers and want to pay higher admission to fund the higher standard? The answer is no, Bratters said years ago that Panthers couldn't survive on crowds alone which is why he worked so hard on the commercial side, even if you dispute his figures Speedway has to do the same and it's criminal that they've wasted Sky coverage & sponsorship over the last decade or more and can't work out why they are left with a dogs dinner of a product? I fear that they've missed the boat and the yearly race to the lowest common denominator has almost been won, meaning that the lower standard is all they can afford, just!
