  1. I did my home work before I posted and did read post 4. I was surprised that he liked it but think "If you're tired, don't cream off the dollar in both Poland and Sweden and have a kip on Sunday or Tuesday." met his approval more than the stadium issues? It could be that we've had 18 pages of pie in the sky ideas which show that fans have had enough and the stadium availability issues need to be looked into as a priority. It may turn out to be an impossible dream but orion also said "Time for people in the sport to be brave", although Tsunami would ask him how he's going to pay for it!
  2. You know how they work though and you're a bright guy; so if the two bets were 1) A brave new world that'll cost a lot and is a massive gamble, or 2) We've been there but bust it so let's see where it bottoms out, at least that's cheap! Then where would your money be? I'd say scaring off Frost and Sandhu tells us how brave they are and which direction they prefer?
  3. If they were capable of drawing up, agreeing and sticking to a business plan then we probably wouldn't be in this mess?
  4. But will existing fans and lost fans turn up in sufficient numbers and want to pay higher admission to fund the higher standard? The answer is no, Bratters said years ago that Panthers couldn't survive on crowds alone which is why he worked so hard on the commercial side, even if you dispute his figures Speedway has to do the same and it's criminal that they've wasted Sky coverage & sponsorship over the last decade or more and can't work out why they are left with a dogs dinner of a product? I fear that they've missed the boat and the yearly race to the lowest common denominator has almost been won, meaning that the lower standard is all they can afford, just!
  5. Why are they any better than Weds/Thurs (which I'd vote for if we were in it) as Dick suggested? It was always a pain following on from the weekend & Poland.
  6. It's the entertainment industry and both are asking the general public to fork out their hard earned to watch it, so not entirely!
  7. Don't think he ever attends so no would be the answer, In fact much of what he watches on TV he'd moan endlessly about, in his absence, if it was served up at the EoES.
  8. Just stick stevebrum on ignore, that'll solve much of the first issue.
  9. Have you not learnt in 21,000 posts that if you reply to brum it just strings it out further because of his inabilty not to have the last word!
  10. That's fine by me, after all, flyingpanther is our spokeswoman and we reserved the milk monitor postion for the BSF Div Kid, so stevebrum got that job unapposed, we're a very diverse group
  11. The Annoyance Society is a broad church and none are excluded, in fact many who would not consider themselves to be an irritant have had their names put forward.
  12. It's not something to be proud of. We think that our loony friend is a mentalist so declaring that you're Newcastle's version isn't cool (I think that's young people terminology)
  13. It's two teams per day from the middle of October, can you beat that?
  14. And when you come to a conclusion as best you can people get upset because you're doing so without the facts: catch-22
  15. PE7 & gary moore have been big Bjerre family fans for many years so you'll get used to it!
  16. I've got this vision David Banner turning into the Hulk.
  17. So much like any other day for you then apart from the sunshine
  18. The way Edinburg rode I doubt that we would have lost. However, what's Harkess got to do with it? Much like 3 three points returned incorrectly to our 6 fingered neighbours last season, either the rules allow or they do not.
  19. Pretty sure it'll be on to the death tbh. We've not had any significant rain and everywhere is dry so only prolonged heavy showers will stop it. If they arrive I'll post about 2 but if I haven't then they haven't.
  20. It's all sounding a bit doom and gloom so I'll keep quiet. What we really need is some postive spin from pp! Either that or another highly entertaining original H&S post from Dekker!
  21. I agree, it sounds fair enough to me! "Of the Peterborough match, which was called off early on Saturday (July 19) at 11am but saw beautiful, sunny weather later that evening, Silver commented: “I make no bones about the fact that the weather was only half the reason for cancelling. “It was a terrible forecast there’s no doubt about that and it’s turned out to be false. “But I really didn’t want to run any more matches with our existing side until I’d got Mellgren and Greenwood in. “If the weather forecast had been good I would have run the meeting no matter what. “I had a forecast of 60 per cent chance of heavy thunderstorms from 11am to 9pm all over Hertfordshire and I had to take notice of that. “Because apart from the impact on the track itself, that’s never really the point. “If it’s raining all around us nobody comes to watch and we cannot afford to run a meeting in front of an empty stadium.” harlowstar
  22. If the rules are clear, adhered to for all and decisions communicated properly then why do you need friends. That's irrelevant and only creates the conspiracy theories, laughable or not!
