  1. Don't give up the day job! Never seem him show any discomfort during or after races? And when management were interviewed it was more about Ales being mic shy, his experience and helping the younger lads in the pits. At no time did they say, and on top of that he's been struggling with his back all season. Not saying your wrong but it seems to be a selective type injury as you say.
  2. Well he's doing his best not to cost any points money at least (not through effort I hasten to add) but overall those changes must have save a bit epecially if we miss the play-offs! Looking at it all season I wouldn't have thought significantly so, but two meetings for £20 three times running that's probably a different matter?
  3. We don't always know the full facts though and it's easy to look at the bare bones once the deed is done and say it's crap. As a cost saving exercise I'd say that the changes were perfect,
  4. Anyway, curfew aside, which has been flexible before so a curfew is a curfew but not seemingly set in stone at the EoES although I'd imagine that reminders get sent out, the interesting point is that despite the fence repair the second match could have been completed with more urgency.
  5. Karol Zabik is available I believe for 2015, he's on a bargain average every season!
  6. Apologies, if you'd introduced yourself then I'd have chosen my words more carefully However, I think that you reading something into "huge lump" which isn't there
  7. Oh I don't know, it appears on one excellent forum, but apart from that I agree, not that it'll happen unfortunately!
  8. Facilities: 2200 Capacity Grandstand but bring your mining helmet so that you've enough light to fill in your programme if you get some huge lump sat in front who blocks the light from the circuit lighting.
  9. That's 700 and all they allegedly need though, taking the double-header element out of it on this occasion that is.
  10. Frost said that he'd hope that there be a Bjerre at Peterborough for a long time. Well he's found one we like so he could build his EL team (minus the other one) around Lasse. But then I woke up! If he's getting the hang of the big league then can't see him hanging around: lasse bjerre@LasseBjerre93 · Aug 18 I love @WolvesSpeedway track now!!! Cant wait for next weak. Paid 12 tonight #15
  11. Been the same for years: "I will never forget that the 2006 Grand Final, arguably the greatest modern day meeting ever, watched live by over 6000 people and by thousands more at home, was followed by a Craven Shield fixture attended by less than 700 people. If that Grand Final won’t pull people in, then what will?!?!" (Bratters' final Panthers blog on "Lovespeedway24). A large stand has a downside in that 2/3rds empty is a good crowd at this level. But will be on his way as we're a feeder club now. In fact the way he's stepped it up recently it looks like he'll be ready for a full time stab at the EL (or whatever our best level is called) in 2015. It's a shame the brothers were not born the other way round, we (and Frost/Mahoney) would have had the exciting one with a personality. Could have been so different.
  12. Depends who this is aimed at - "beating teams by thirty odd points with an obvious home advantage would do my head in" - perhaps I misunderstood?
  13. That should be "is that his gating is diabolical" - that's not a surprise unfortunately although it may sharpen up a touch as you say, but nothing major?
  14. When he signed he could do both, he didn't move the goalposts did he, if that was indeed a factor? Ambition would say that you're right with the latter point but I suspect that a decent pay packet would also be a factor.
  15. Somewhat ironic that on speaking to bcd in Asdas on Friday I said that everyone bar management named a team which would in all likelyhood have won the 2012 EL title but then we had "Monday November 28, 2011" - also shows where we are in that the star of yesterday's show was just making up the numbers 3 years ago? To be fair to the riders though, they are only trying to earn a living and it can't be much fun walking in to what they have this time? Roynon was ok, No surpise with Hall, it's not 2006, more like 2007. If Dilger could drive into the first turn to match his gating then he might be ok but he slows up and gets beaten up. Should have been excluded in his last ride for bailing out? Badly needs a Mick Poole crash course (not literally) in first turn technique!
  16. Everyone thinks that they see the best racing on their own patch and the home team (if reasonably competent) tends to win on it, that's speedway!
  17. The National Anthem was an awful idea but that's up there challenging for no1 spot
  18. Must say that I struggled with those two. As for giving GP riders some extra earning or testing time. I wouldn't be interested, novelty or not, which'll soon wear off anyway.
  19. You did though, in fact people in general are fickle, it's human nature. Don't think that it's particularly a Peterborough thing but with a small pool of regulars both Posh and Panthers know when they've got problems, The riders thing here is a bit of a red herring really!
  20. You lasted the whole meeting? I deleted it from Sky+ when Pearson & Tatum were debating the 23rd restart of heat 3; it was like Whitehall farce!
  21. Don't destroy his argument he's been working all morning on that!
  22. You must be the one at the back with the flag and horn (but the less said about you personal life the better)
