  1. Yes, your original post was correct as I surmised different but the info put up by Normski put me right.
  2. Cheers for the info Normski but Jordan is now in the main 1-5 so part D should not be highlighted but part B should as we are using RR for Jake on Sunday so we can use a Guest for Jordan.
  3. I do not agree with the comparison for Ash Birks as both tracks similar in shape but I do agree that riders need to experience the more technical tracks. The Worralls went to the ploughed field of Brough Park & Stevie has got his mojo back after his injury riding at Poole & Wolves. Douglas improved & has admitted to of the tuition by Darcy Ward & Davey Watt in his season away but came back to try the technical tracks at Leicester & Wolves. Flint & Brennan, also, tried technical tracks for a year.
  4. 55-60 is my estimate for what Edinburgh will score. With our poor away form & losing 2 heat leaders & signing another 2nd string, for once, Fozzie has made a truthful post rather than having digs at the Scunthorpe promotion. More to the truth, though, a top heat leader & 5 2ndstring/reserves(all around 5 point CMA averages not away form) & 1 true reserve. Riders ride on the track & not in the air.
  5. I understand Poole's way of thinking going with a strong top 3(worked last year) with riders to improve but if you are keeping faith with a non scoring reserve for long term gain/experience then put him at 6 & have your scoring reserve at 7.
  6. So was the ref an ex rider who knows about throttle control? Also, wasn't Lawson's view of his incident with MPT saying "the throttle works both ways". Funny how I saw, and my opinion, of a few similar incidents from Poole riders the other week at our place!
  7. Armadale is about 12 miles west of Edinburgh along the M8 but North side. Livingstone is about 4 miles nearer to Edinburgh but on the South side of the M8.
  8. What?????? I think you've lost your marbles!!! Just kidding In the 70's, we used to run at Quibell Park, a 400m running track with shale added for speedway. Outside of this was the banked cycling track. Up above this was the metal barrier viewing area. We had a grand stand of about 800 seats, underneath was the changing area for multi sports & toilets. O the same level but to the rear was the café. In the 80's, we moved just off a circle near the steelworks to Ashby Ville. A spare bit of land was provided by the council for Speedway which was very primitive by standards with a double decker bus as a stand. To the west, behind the small trees & to the south was our council run football pitches of which there were about 11-13 in use in this area.
  9. Tight fit at 0.01 below. Certainly makes you more stronger.
  10. That is how we started out. Track, pits, banked spectator viewing & portacabins for toilets.
  11. He has certainly burnt a few bridges & alienated a few fans & a few riders were not happy with his attitude for the team. It makes us weaker as his average has been just over 5 all season but more to the point, has an average higher at Brough park than away. Someone posted that we had nearly 2.5 average to play with the new averages out on 1st July & Coles was mentioned as a change but that would be unfair on the lad, but as other teams around us in the last play off position are making changes too, maybe this is not the last one for us.
  12. 260 metres in length to reach International Standard would probably be wide(r) straights & bends although hasn't Berwick got FIM status with narrow straights?
  13. Great news for Edinburgh Speedway & speedway in general & hope the work can start soon while the weather is supposed to be good(heat wave but maybe not as hot in Scotland ) for the next few months. I am unsure of the Council boundaries but with this area being not far from Armadale, is it in the same Council? Edinbugh Council would struggle to find spare land closer to the city. Looking at google maps, even Armadale can not be developed too much further because of the tree line but land for building houses makes more money & sense. Good luck in 2023 & beyond, where ever you start racing.
  14. At last they are both in our top 3 averaged riders so 2 guests can be used.
  15. Tell that to the fans of Torquay(TUFC), Coventry, Swindon, Lakeside. etc
  16. Interesting this as most people that have posted, do not buy programmes or prefer an A4 sheet folded to give a score card or to print their own yet when the SS do a programme survey, the booklets get the best reviews(costing £3+) & the 8 page programmes get the worst reviews.
  17. Winning without even trying showing God was shining(well not quite, on you tonight. It could have been an interesting meeting, especially with our poor away form & you suffering from not having a proper no1. Just shows the lack of confidence in the rest of the team.
  18. Looking at rain radar, it should cease about 715-730. If tractors can get on track, just do what Glasgow did a few weeks ago & TRY and get it on.
  19. The guest was racing for his own club last night. Strange that you reply to a post & delete your other. Maybe Rob Peasley has been working & doing other things or waiting for the official confirmation from the promoters for tonight rather than posting twice or more times with changing information.
  20. Which I was surprised at when I checked the averages for .75% of Harris. Probably not available then.
  21. With Summers history to Berwick, if approached, I would think he would NOT want to ride against his "family" as a guest.
  22. The after effects I would think as his ride scores were X, 1, 2, 3 from updates.
  23. This will now be all 3 leagues declared & raced in this year. Is this still allowed? I know other Premiership teams have NDL riders signed as no8's as well as riding in the CL but rarely ride.
