  1. How many riders have pulled out of the sport in the last few years because the step up was too much.
  2. Jedd List was signed on the recommendation that he could gate & that he looked comfortable on a bike. We knew he was raw & had only used a 500cc engine some 8 months prior. Unfortunately, he was found out to be not the gater we expected & was regularly beaten into the 1st corner then unable to pass. He wasn't ready & this was explained to Jedd & his dad, who was over here with him, & they both took the news well. They hung around having practices at a few venues & even though people said he looked good, practice & racing are at 2 different levels.
  3. I would like them protected to a certain level unlike in Poland. If any of these lads reach an average of about 6 then it proves that they are ready to be a 2nd strings as to average 6, you must be beating fellow reserves & 2nd strings. To move up if you get an average of about 4-4.50 would be wrong as some teams might go top heavy in the team leader department, having 2nd strings at around that level. Most teams will have 2nd strings about 5-5.50 so the move up should be correct.
  4. I have just been on the Aces topic & it is said that there will be a price increase in 2020, £1 for Aces & £2 for Colts. This is mainly to cut the losses of the Colts meetings.
  5. You have got to start at a points level somewhere & he was only 15.
  6. I am guessing he came here on more than a one year visa & he would have to re-apply to, also, ride in the Championship. His 8.26 converted average(get it ) makes it impossible to be in Poole's plans. Well, at the present time, that is.
  7. ???????????????? Does his visa allow it? What would his average be? Thought they were after 2 reserves & not a no1 at 8.26!
  8. If the stadium and/or track are not ready for league racing then surely, later in the year, there will be some challenge meetings.
  9. For those unsure about what is being mentioned, here is the original draw with the same 12 teams involved http://www.speedwaygb.co.uk/news.php?extend.37740 on 27 Nov '19
  10. It might be good if something appears on the Eastbourne website from Ian Jordan giving the reasons or logistics into this change.
  11. Why has common sense prevailed? Changing the draw with the teams mentioned making it regionalised? Yet, you still have Somerset v Glasgow! They should have left it alone as the poster above states, "why have a draw in the first place"?
  12. Year upon year the Shield fixtures are there as a season opener to get riders up to speed yet the final is raced in September/October as league racing deadlines for play off places take priority. Yes, we all wanted more fixtures than last year, which we now have, but good riddance to the Shield. If you need your riders to get up to speed then arrange challenge meetings.
  13. Chris Louis, normally, gets the rules right so it could be that the reporter did not understand his reply. Transfers can only be made AFTER 25% of league meetings & before the 75% of meetings which means that the transfer window is between meetings 7 to 17 inclusive in which 2 riders can be changed. If a rider is injured outside of this parameter, I would expect r/r or guest facilities to be used.
  14. Will a few hours make much difference? Online SS could be just gone midnight. Clubs twitter could be early. SS in shops Thursday so will be available 4.30am ish plus local papers(which ours is out Thursday) might have them in.
  15. It was in 2014 S4S and we were slated for it. Going with Steve Jones & 6 x 3 pointers might sound like it was too weak for the NL, and it was. As has been said above, there were a few thrashings & promoters were not happy paying out to 60-65+ wins. The other riders involved in 2014 were Sam Chapman, Arron Mogridge, Danno Verge, Reece Downes, Ryan Macdonald & Liam Sanderson.
  16. Jordan is doing another year in the NDL so will still be learning & getting extra rides(although not many meetings for feeder clubs). Maybe he needs a bit of pre season practice at smaller tracks like Leicester or Newcastle, although he did score well at most sized tracks last year.
  17. Enlighten us all how he will "feather his own nest"?
  18. The last 3 paragraphs http://www.speedwaygb.co.uk/news.php?extend.37841
  19. file:///C:/Users/User/AppData/Local/Microsoft/Windows/Temporary Internet Files/Content.IE5/EC8OCMYB/p19_issue_26.pdf It is there in black & white who made the most & least changes.
  20. Allen could easily put 1 1/2 points on his average as he was held back by the shoulder injury he sustained 1/2 way through the season, establishing him as our no1. Auty could put another 1/2 on his average but hope it keeps him at no5 as that his where he is best. Both Tero & TJ should improve their averages due to being back at the EWR. Ayres has matured a little more now & is not reckless. What you saw at the British Final(& still on YouTube) was a rider that wanted to win a heat, wanted to beat a top guy in Harris, was riding mid track just in the deep stuff but on the last lap on bends 3 & 4, just carried to much speed & went into the deeper stuff. That was not reckless but a bit of bottle. Any one else would have, probably, decked it. Lambert & Palin could both improve, maybe only by about 1/2 point depending on where they ride in the team.
  21. What Osbourne & other developers should do ................ be accountable & rebuild or re-site new stadia before any houses are built as per the planning procedure. They should never have been allowed to build houses before the speedway & stock cars were sorted.
  22. If people like CVS & Nigel Pearson involved with Cradley then surely, with their knowledge & contacts, an area could have been found for their home. While they were renting Monmore(and at times Perry Bar), they drew in decent crowds, paid top money to decent teams of riders while they were successful. As the bubble eventually burst as others caught up, their pockets bulging, they decided to ease up & walk away. A season away, no league entered but just the trophy, were token gestures to the fans of Cradley who deserved more.
