Exactly as predicted on the forecast.

I get that, but rain can suddenly disappear off that radar - it doesn't mean all that rain travels in the same direction for ever more. I guess the best test is standing outside with no hat.
-
No, I have had a couple of issues with that before - didn't travel when I should have, so just stick to the one source now.

that's a tricep stretch. It makes me grimace but then again I'm old -
It's only due to rain for a while, afternoon looks fine https://xcweather.co.uk/forecast/peterborough

Always best to try and avoid hitting any fence. Think Lynn have that too? -
GRAND PRIX CHALLENGE

Really pleased that Nilsson got through, great to see an underdog make it by rights. Poles shown up again outside of Poland, British tracks are not just flat-out and slick. -
Odsal was a great venue but I think the roof is such a big ticket item in Cardiff's favour - maybe a 100m track would fit into the Centre Court at Wimbledon

Oh we drove and parked 10 minutes walk away. Plenty of food choices on the walk in and home in and hour and a half as it was right near the main road.
-
Sorry but I agree with OP, it is wholly relevant. It is the experience. Tension and exciting speedway is not all about the fastest guy missing the start.

Nicholls is also ok at the moment as he rode for Oxford last night. The call off will have been due to rider availability I expect.

To get 80k there must have been some serious promotion - but again Wembley is not in the best of areas, a bit like the NSS. Now Tottenham stadium I was impressed with when I went there to see GnR.

Stuff the moaners, Dan shows the throttle merchants how to ride, didn't see him jumping about everywhere, that's skill.

Pickering was pony at Ipswich last night but did fall in his third ride, although didn't appear injured at all and rode off again. -
Ipswich v King's Lynn 11 August

Nice bit of afters between Tungate and Lawson after ht15 - Lawson was trying to slow it down to allow worral through, nothing wrong with that in my view, didn't look dangerous but added some spice -

He's the pre-meeting entertainment I think, doing a cover version of 'snooker loopy' in homage to Chas N Dave. He'll also be doing some TRick shots (I'll get my coat).

Wolves vs Harris & Basso ( Panthers )
SPEEDY69 replied to Purplepanthernotred's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Given the speed with which some clubs cancel meetings, due to some rain maybe being in the air or some stadium issue or another, surely the fact that one team is so decimated, to the point it will no longer be a contest, should be an equally valid reason to postpone. Even more so given that it is the fans, rather than the home promoter who will be missing out (although you could argue for increased pay bill and slightly depleted crowd) -
British Final 2022

Sink or swim maybe but I remember people on here wetting themselves thinking how dominant Musielak would be in this league but he's only managed a GSA of 8.09 (7.67 away from Sheffield). Holder has been even worse in the UK. Perhaps it's here where riders are developed -

I think he would - it's not as though he wouldn't have had opportunities to race there. I do accept though that the added coin in his pocket will have allowed him to spend more on his support team and there is more pressure from the media/fans there to do well. -
British Final 2022

Bewley would have progressed anyway, no matter where he rode, in my opinion. He was on the upward curve anyway. There's nothing about being afraid either if you're offered an eye watering salary. I see other old hands such as Hampel and Protaseiwicz are still doing well. The poles didn't do so well when up against the others at the SON did they, so the view of where might be tough is different depending on who you are. -

I never said it was! All I was saying was that those were the set down rules, to which the riders objected, to clear up the point that the BSPA had no idea what to do.
