  1. I also feel the GPs need shaking up - maybe less rounds, or new faces. It does feel like we're watching the same guys racing too many times and the results in one meeting have less significance to the title overall because there are a lot of rounds. However, it is a commercial enterprise so understand they need to maximise income. If, as you suggest, they give wildcards to 9/10th or this year 11/12th then why not simply make it the top 10 of those not already qualified? I think it's more to do with the countries they represent and for me, Laguta is as dull as.
  2. Redcar definitely in the driving seat. Guest will strengthen them.
  3. Meetings get rained off when it rains - this can be in any of the months of the official season - sometimes Sept/Oct is much drier than April/May, or indeed any of the months. Poland can do what's best for them, I like our longer season.
  4. Ha, know what you mean but that would get him a ban for 7 days. 'flu' or a migraine would be better. Being serious, I think he'll do much better next time
  5. I agree. We recently paid 85 pounds a ticket (single fee), to watch Ed sheeran busking in a local park, outside in the elements. I know what was better value.
  6. Huh? Who said that - not me. Instead of jumping into confrontation, maybe consider the topic was wildcards, not the whole field.
  7. I get that point but an injury can happen at any point and not even be your fault of course. Do they all not try early season because it may jeopardise the rest of the year? Mid-season? As a rider I think you should always avoid unnecessary risk.
  8. Without all the injuries, missed flight s, broken vans, Peterborough could have finished much closer to the other teams. Well done on your win last night.
  9. I don't really believe that though. Riders have both money and pride as motivators, can't see them deliberately not trying to win.
  10. Lydd as well, which has been going for years, Swindon also had a small track inside the main one, though like Lynn (Olle used the main track) , not sure if it was ever used.
  11. I went to halfway, blimey the racing seems rather slow but I like the idea of someone hanging off the back of the stock car, dodgems style.
  12. Hawkins might say the result didn't matter but I think they'd rather face Poole in the semis than Swindon.
  13. Indeed. Tungate recently 'forgot his passport' so couldn't catch a flight to the UK for a Thursday meeting for the Panthers and no ban ensued. Nicholls on the other hand injured himself loading his van for the Championship riders championship and was banned for a week - should've used the old 'van broken down' line.
  14. I thought there was a rule about an 'unsatisfactory start'? This is what is used to call all of them back for a first bend incident as they interpret the start line until the exit of bend 2 as 'the start'.
  15. Without Wright's bike failure in heat one could've been a Panthers win
  16. Should be an easy win for Swindon. Fast track should suit Batch, Toby, Perks and Doyle. Boro have no form/confidence going into the meeting.
  17. I'm surprised people still keep thinking it's about racing - it's about commercial growth and selling tickets/sponsorship.
