Somerset v King's Lynn KO Cup final 1st leg 17/10/18
tellboy replied to tellboy's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Think S.Lambert done his job,but we are finding it difficult to find a suitable replacement for Toft.As i said though Wright would have done the job for us.Surely once Toft was injured, confirmed last Tuesday the management should have thought about replacements then.If they overlooked Wright then that was criminal.Maybe Wright had already committed to Somerset who knows. -

True, think he's earned an off night once in a while though. For most of the season though he has pulled this team through. -

Lynn don't have the 5% for a reserve. -

I started the topic with this, the difference between us winning or losing. If we had got him we would have had one hand on the cup now imo.And being at reserve he could have had 7 rides. Now its very much an uphill task again -

Thought i put it on here,as bizarre as it seems you are not allowed +5% for reserves. -
Finishing Averages Table 2018
tellboy replied to ReadingRacer2017's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I thought you better than that Skidder, thought you knew how and when the averages workedYou could look at the official averages on the BSPA website if you want -
Lambert,Iversen,Riss,MPT i would have back, all depends on averages of course. Even though Iversen has had a poor season you can't let him leave on such a low average. S.Lambert too hasn't let the side down or himself but unsure whether he could sustain that level for a season. Regarding Jorgensen and Proctor, they have both had a good season but as per normal you are going to have to get get rid of 2-3 riders. That's the reason i have gone for the 4 i have, they represent the best value for the club imo.

So after being hijacked again, back on topic. So Somerset have booked Wright for BWD,bit disappointed was hoping Lynn would get him for Toft.Lynn have Aarnio guesting for Toft other than that Lynn have a full team with Iversen being back. -
Only the blind couldn't see the bad luck Lynn got at the most critical time of the season. I don't seem to get Daniel this last month or so,he seems so down or something. He really does have a problem with everything King's Lynn and the promotion.Personally i think the promotion with the addition of Brundle has improved this year and so has the crowd imo.Things take time to turn around but they are doing it.

What an earth has happened to the Somerset v King's Lynn KO Cup thread could have sworn it was here somewhere. All it seems to be now is the Steve Shovlar side show. Trying to get it back on course now,i'm hoping Lynn try to get Charles Wright to guest for MPT especially for this trip to Somerset. He does ride well there and may have the added incentive to do well with what went on earlier in the season. -
I don't know why you always look for a reaction, but thats you all over im afraid. To me Poole in 2010 were by far the best team all year bar the last 2 weeks of the season.Just because you win the play-offs doesn't make you the best team over the year i'm afraid. There's no point of having a debate with you as you will only see it your way anyway as always.
-
I don't agree with you there, you were the best team in the play-offs,but for the year you were not.

You would think there would be some kind of recognition to finishing the league top wouldn't you.Only in speedway do you get diddly squat.Just another trophy made would be ok wouldn't it. -
Hopefully all clubs will get together for the good of British Speedway altogether.

I did hear at the track that he would be riding next week. But SS and his reliable source said Ellis was riding,i should have learnt by now not to take any notice of him. Will be nice to have nearly a full team for the KO Cup,although missing MPT is a hammer blow to the team as proved last night he is pretty irreplaceable at the moment. -
Got to get the ball rolling early to take my mind off our defeat in the play-off final So Somerset and Kings' Lynn both have injury problems ahead of the final. BWD and Summers are injury doubts and Holder is definitely out for Somerset. For King's Lynn MPT season is finished but could NKI be back next week. We have had decent results at Somerset in the past, but the last one was a shocker for us.I'm hoping Lynn bring in C.Wright for MPT he goes quite well around there i believe.I hope that wouldn't upset anyone.
