So the meeting got called off on July 11th.Somerset offered Lynn all the available Mondays and Wednesdays. So the dates available was July 18th.That's it,one day was the only time both Somerset and Lynn weren't riding.

Stop making those stupid excuses Steve. All speedway riders have hectic schedules, not just the Poole riders. -

This is definitely Poole's to lose,Swindon are in free fall at the moment. -
People keep saying about Lynn refusing the 3 dates. What i would like to know which people are avoiding is what are those dates. Then we draw conclusions as to whether Lynn are wrong in refusing them. It's obviously got to be an off night. So the chances are 1 of the teams may have a rider or 2 missing.Maybe Somerset want it all their own way and are making sure those 3 dates are when they have all their riders and Lynn possibly some missing.

King's Lynn v Wolves 22/08/18 DOUBLE HEADER
tellboy replied to Bagpuss's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Well really enjoyed, although i only got to see the 2nd meeting having been stuck in hospital for 5hrs.Had good intentions to see both done a swap of shifts with someone and it then went pear shaped. But having managed to get to the 2nd meeting i was happy to see a slick meeting even when using R/R and a few falls it was done by just gone 22:30. Ht 5 what a race, that was just awesome. There were some good races in that 2nd meeting so i went home happy in the end. Buster must have been very happy with the crowd, excellent for a double header against the same opponents. We will await the apologies from those who said the 2nd meeting wouldn't go to it's conclusion and it will end up being a bit of a farce. Well done to Buster and those involved who put on a slick show tonight for the fans. And thanks for S.Nielsen for being on standby just in case. -

Couldn't ride in the morning unless Wolverhampton could get to Manchester for a 12 noon start -

Not really sure about that,he would be guesting I assume so it wouldn't count as his 8th match.Do they get a reduced average now, foreign riders that is? -

It can't be anyone special as it is our riders averages that dictate who we can have. -
No,Lambert's average isn't to high.Don't forget Schlein would get an extra 5% on top of his average as he would have been riding at home.Schlein's average is 8.54+5% at home you can use up to a 8.97 rider.Lambert is 8.58

Anyone from Belle Vue,if they want the booking. But again Wolves may think R/R a better option as would a BV rider really be at his best thinking a Lynn win would be more beneficial to BV making the play-offs.Could all change with tonights results of course. I find it hard to be able to probably get an adequate rider to be on standby. As mentioned before hindsight is a wonderful thing, how do we know who may be injured. You can say have Bewley on standby but he could only replace R.Lambert or Proctor. So if Jorgensen was to get injured you would be buggered. So looking at it like that i think the rider on standby will have a PL average of 6.07 or below so he can fit in for any of the top 5.And if Toft was to get injured they would probably just go with Bailey at reserve. The riders who it could be,would be someone like Garrity,NBJ.But think it would most probably be Kasper Andersen. -

This is very true. But with a very limited choice of guests i can understand why they have done it. -

R/R for NKI Wednesday.Would have preferred a guest but with only having Belle Vue to choose from choices were very limited. In actual fact really only Bewley would have done a decent job.Time for the others now to step up and take charge. Now awaiting more negativity to emerge -

It's funny Trees, but we hadn't heard Haza for while until there is something a little bit negative to be heard about the club. Now we can't get rid of him -
Another thing with FRN is it is harder to get guests when a rider is injured. You have your pick from the Lynn riders for this meeting.Really your only pick would be Lambert or NKI and do they want to do it?Last season you would have had your pick from whoever really.

You are right about the bleating from certain posters. The ones normally moaning don't actually go anymore. And those people keep pretending if they think that speedway is getting better they will return. -
Unsure how the asset system works now to be honest.I'm just assuming he's a Lynn asset now(hopefully).I'm sure he will improve given time and meetings. He has a higher average than Lambert hey Daniel

Notice how Swindon have always been ahead on fixtures rode.probably because they have had 3 options every week.If Poole didn't ride that Thursday they would either had to agree to ride on that Wednesday or do a double header to get their fixtures in.Somerset need either a double header or an off night race to complete. If Wolves don't have this double header against Lynn they wouldn't fulfill their fixtures on a FRN.And it's tight for Belle Vue,had it not been for the bank holiday coming up where they can ride Wolves home and away they too would have to ride on an off night. So i think FRN do have an impact. Having said all that,Lynn should have arranged some fixtures on Thursday night to avoid any clashes with Denmark. -

It's getting tricky now to get the fixtures in,Wolves are at Somerset when we ride against Poole. If it wasn't for FRN Wolves would have been at Somerset on a Friday no doubt and we would have been able to race them on that Wednesday. -

Most of this comes about because individual promoters are just interested in themselves. It's a look after number one policy first and then they may think about looking after speedway in general after. Yes totally agree, don't think it's much of a saving nowadays anyway is it?Maybe if you have to miss one match anyway the saving is gone. Most people would have to miss at least one match during the season for a number of reasons. So this is why i didn't really expect people to take up the offer of season tickets anymore. -

Art.18.10.1 If the absent rider is in the top 1-5 of the team, then the missing rider's MA (if established) will be enhanced by +5% at a home meeting to determine the allowance for the guest rider That is from the green sheet averages on the BSPA site -

You forgot to add on the extra 5% to Iversen's average as it's a home meeting.
