  1. I would think Ford/Middleditch would want all 4 points if they could. That would show their intent on winning the league and play-offs and put a warning out to the other contenders.Surely they will say 4 points here and 3 at home that would leave Lynn needing 2 points from Wolves and Somerset away, that's providing they beat Leicester at home twice. Then that would give Poole the choice anyway. Weather is dry here in Wisbech now after rain during the early morning.Meant to be dry all day now so don't see any problems whatsoever.
  2. Some riders a suited to different tracks. It seems more Somerset riders a suited to Poole's track than Lynn riders. By the looks of ht 15 on Monday you can't ride too close to the inside or else you will be going home with two extra tonsils and a high pitched voice
  3. I love to see an underdog win that's why i am praying for Lynn to win the play-offs.Written off by many fans and speedway pundits alike before a wheel had even been turned way back in March.
  4. Great result for the Stars, but a poor advert for speedway. Track looked very tricky early doors and the only overtakes were really through mistakes. Why is it at Leicester once a rider assumes 1st position he just seems to go unchallenged and pulls away throughout the race.Even though Lynn have a decent record there, after the rain off fiasco of a few years ago i haven't been back. And after watching last night it may take a few more years.
  5. Having just seen this,i find it disgusting to have a hole like that in a track.Talk about riders safety. What an earth can cause a hole like that,it's not the bikes that's for sure. The last Poole meeting against Somerset that was on tv there was a hole appearing in between bends 1and 2 again.Remember seeing Harris hit it and a Somerset rider, can't remember who now though. I'm all for a little home advantage, but that is definitely not right.
  6. They can't use him simply because Jakobsen's average is higher than that of Riss. 8 day rule wouldn't come into it as Jakobsen rode there for Poole and not as a guest.8 day rule only applies to guest appearances.
  7. Don't think any Lynn fans are underestimating Somerset whatsoever. If you read it properly most Lynn fans apart from Danny Smith would prefer to ride Belle Vue if they make it and if Lynn got the choice in the semi final. The reason being Lynn don't do so well against Poole. This would leave Poole v Somerset in the other semi, the only team that could beat Poole over 2 legs. Now we are not underestimating Somerset at all it's just that we feel we would have a better chance if we were to face Somerset in the final rather than Poole. I tried to make it a bit clearer for you, maybe we put things differently up here to you lot from down South
  8. It is Somerset v King's Lynn next Tuesday the 4th.On the Somerset website now.
  9. Nothing wrong with that BB.Hopefully a double celebration tonight
  10. Must look closer at the updates dear boyBack of the class for you.
  11. Seems like everything is falling into place for Poole. Seriously hope he is ok and can take his place tomorrow.
  12. Forecast is looking better Wednesday. What use to make teams fear coming to Lynn was deep and grippy. Ps don't forget your £1.50
  13. NBJ going to be busy, riding for Somerset at 12:30 at Poole and then for Leicester at 19:30.About 170 miles to do.Lets hope the bank holiday traffic doesn't hold him up.
  14. All if's,but's and maybe's.There's no guarantee's in anything speedway. No matter how much SS say's all this will strengthen Somerset. There's no guarantee R/R will either score more or less than what Lawson would have scored,or the same about the two reserves. The obvious probability is that Somerset are actually weakened as the averages say so.Lower average riders in for the two reserves and if it's R/R for Lawson then this is also on average taken by lesser riders.
  15. This is where the play-offs can become farcical.Through no fault of any team if you are the best by miles over the season and you get an injury or two at the end this will more than likely end your challenge.A couple of posters have already said it has happened to their teams in the last few years which finished them. I think we need a rule change as to when a team gets a rider that is seriously injured they should be allowed a change after the so called date.Although this must be controlled properly as this has been abused by a couple of teams in the past.
  16. He will do come September. In situations like this it should be allowed imo.But then again it could but open to abuse from some clubs
  17. Hoping young Dan will come back stronger from this.He is a fine young prospect and always great to watch. This seriously dents Belle Vues chances now.Although i expect them to get into the play-offs,with this injury i think it will be a step to far to win them. Can they sign a replacement for an injured rider?
  18. You tight bugger, that's not bad at all.Bet there's not many sporting events/venues that sells them cheaper
  19. Don't know what illness but apparently wasn't going to ride at Workington due to an illness.
  20. Hope it's all precautionary but it doesn't sound to good.Hoping he has a speedy recovery from what ever injuries he has sustained.Good luck young Dan.
  21. So that's why the long range forecast isn't good.Hope it changes and you can make an appearance on Wednesday night
