I agree with you. Eddie has been in poor form recently, and im sure that Neil knew that, but he took the chance on Eddie performing tonight, but Neil could have gone with Ben or Danny, hindsight is a wonderful thing. The problem is, we are never, going to have the scope or strength in depth of the Poles Danes or the Aussies come to that. -

Ive already mentioned that Ben should have ridden and Danny is just starting to find a bit of form, but even with that, would it have been enough to turn over the Danes?? -

Appologies for the remark. but theres no need to slag our manager off. Neil is very limited on his choice of riders, we are not Denmark or Poland -

Neil picks the side on who he thinks will do the best job on the night. Sadly, it didn't happen. Yes i said ages ago that Barker should have been included in the team, but neil picks it. Also posibly Danny king should have been included, he's just starting to find a bit of form. But what some people on here fail, to understand we don't have the strength in depth of some nations, and some people fail to remember 2004, when we came within a point of winning the dam thing. Im sure that Hans Anderson would agree!!!!! -

Well said that person, but you can't tell some of these on here.. Another on here who doesn't understand we don't have the strength in depth of some nations.. As for what Neil does at poole, an awful lot more than you could shake a stick at.. -

Starman2006 replied to Phil The Ace's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
No your not the only one.The country has gone to hell in a dustcart, and believe me, it will get far worse... but everybody will still back Team GB, same as every English person backed Team GB in last years Olympics. -
Who Should Be In Gb World Cup Team?

Really, i don't agree with that, yes i will admit Bridger has to find a bit, but he is capable of it, like Ben if he rides his bike and gets his head down. -

Well im not so sure about that Gav, Neil is his own man, and he has already cited, he will make changes if nessercery. but i do also think its a shame Scott is not on board.. -

Good post. So whats the answer? Go back to the Status Quo.. Problem is, the Boffins want their bit, heath and Safety want their bit and the noise nimbies want their bit. And yes, Airfences have certainly done their bit, but otherwise we are back with the Nimbies, this is where its all started..

Im sure Neil has his reasons, but i agree on present form, several must have claims. Im a bit of a fan of Ben Barker, some hate him but i feel he would have been a good choice as i said else where, he's a little workhorse who would have thrived at KL if he did his job riding a speedway bike got his head down he could be a very good rider, jeez's up the rest of the boys, he starts winning races it would rub off on the rest of them. But like Eddie, Bomber has something to prove, and unless they score points i doubt they will be seen again.. -

Neil is open to change, and if he feels he needs to change things he will. -

Well i'l disapoint you all, i still say Neil is the best manager around, and i wouldn't change him. Now, you might say, i would say that. But i watch Neil at close quarters every week, when we race, and he's very good. Yes Peter Adams has got pedigree, Phil morris looks to have the right attitude, and Rosco has come a long way in the last couple of years, but its still Neil for me everytime. -

Thats a bit harsh mate. As i said, Neil would have his reasons, and if he wants to ride Eddie he will have a reason for it. -

Thank you for that. Im not dissagreeing with anything Neil does, he obviously has his reasons, But Barker is better than he showed last night. Eddie didn't ride at all well last night and need to up his game he's more than capable of it. Again with Eddie, time is ticking. Worrell sort of proved me wrong when he guested for us a couple of weeks ago, but for me Ben is a little workhorse and he would certainly put himself about at KL and gee the lads up. A little agression is good but sometimes Ben goes over the top, if he can channel that agression into his racing alone he would be worth his weight in gold. I also think Bridger could push his name into the equasion, but he needs to show Neil he's up for the job, properly, imo, he's certainly good enough.
