There was much anger towards Gjedde at the time , from all corners of the stadium , not just from the microphone . We were down there on league business the night Dick announced Gjedde had been dropped and the cheer was deafening . Clearly things weren't right with Gjedde at Berwick , he went onto prove what a good rider he was when he moved to Newport , so you can't really blame Dick Barrie for relaying the feelings of the support in general .

Most of us visiting fans realise it's all tongue in cheek stuff from Dick Barrie . It all adds to the occasion

I'd prefer a tried and trusted PL performer to go along with Ringwood . Our record in the Danish market isn't great in recent seasons . Thomsen has a chance of making it , but Peter Juul and Anders Andersen weren't up to much .
-
That's a very interesting side . Could very well be dark horses for honours , especially if Ryan Douglas shows second season improvement
-
There's been a few Poles that have ridden in the PL . So there's no barrier for that happening
-
Agreed , we've had Sunday afternoons at Glasgow for years . While it's nice to sit on the grass and enjoy a beer on a nice summer's day , speedway is always better under lights . Tracks get very dusty during the day which also does nothing for the supporters enjoyment
-
I wouldn't worry too much about that . The nearer we get to the start of the season , riders will get twitchy and their demands will drop . Peter Waite at Berwick never used to sign a rider till the February .

Young rider becomes a victim of his club's incompetance , respected poster asks the question about his future , and the thread descends into a venom infested mire . Never fails . Hope the lad gets fixed up . Pity we cant find a way to include him at Glasgow again . Where ever he finds a spot , whether at the start of the season or if injuries offer an opening , the lucky team will become title certainties . 3 PL title badges in his 3 years over here is an incredible statistic .

Both Scottish clubs are regularly among the most expensive in the league , next year will be no different

This is fantastic news for British speedway . Peterborough is my favourite track in the country and it's a bonus that i'll get to follow my own team when they race there next season .
-
All things being equal , you would think so . Especially after the way he ended the season . But speedway being speedway , nothing shocks me anymore .

The Visa thing only seems to become an issue when an Aussie rider changes club . Mason was signed on a 2 year deal and had he rode for us last season there wouldn't have been a problem . I don't think Ringwood's return is a gimmee either , Heather , but i think that is probably down to the rider himself and his desire to return .
-
I agree with you Bigeddie , outwith the likes of Craig Cook , Simon Stead and Jason Doyle , those four riders you mentioned are a match for anybody round Shielfield Park
-
I still think there's a chance Peterborough will enter the PL fray . Therefore i would suggest Lanham would go there . I sincerely hope Peterborough do gain PL entry , i love that place .
-
aye i probably would

Makes sense , two big crowds and the weather behaving itself hopefully

Cheers , Poland is a pain in the arse Dont suppose there's any chance Bager has signed for a Polish club is there ? A night club will do

Would Dakota North not be worth keeping ?
-
For all it really means , i'd give it to Pijper . But in reality , Stewart Dickson doesn't have many peers in pumping riders up so the captaincy is not a real issue .
-
That appears to be shrouded in mystery , but i have my doubts
-
Obsessed dot com . Everytime we sign a rider it's " how dare you sign him , you're skint " . They're only happy when they're looking down their nose at us .
-
Nobody . Why do you think the bouncy castle , that sat on the 3rd/4th bend , vanished .

Delighted with the team the promotion has put together so far . 10.66 left for the final two . Do we have Ringwood back and have Berge in the main body of the side , or do we sign a couple of five pointers and have the lad at reserve along with Anders . Personally i'd have Ringwood back on the form he showed in the final month of last season . Thomsen and Ringwood could be a very potent reserve pairing .

People seem well versed on how much money Glasgow has or hasn't got
