  1. Yes , but KKS's source might be his Harry Potter action figure .
  2. The Poles would have beat us no matter where it was held , they never got out of second gear last night .
  3. Tai has previous for this behaviour in interviews though . In a televised PL meeting at Edinburgh , while guesting for Workington , he claimed a Monarchs rider had " rode like a girl " after the ref had excluded Tai for causing the Monarchs rider to come off . While that was pretty amusing , calling fellow riders girls , or women or sisters etc isn't really the most clever thing you can do and it shows a lack of respect for the opposition riders .
  4. Whilst i admire your optimism , i fear there is more chance of us ending up like America than catching the Poles and Danes . I worry what the future holds once Harris , Richardson and Nicholls are no longer about . Kennett , Bridger and Barker are ok , but not in the same league as the likes of Hampel , Holder , Lindgren , Bjerre - who are the next standard bearers of their respective nations . Whilst Woffinden's progress seems to have stalled .
  5. No , i think most of us who jumped in with our size nines whilst not being in full posession of the facts and making prats of ourselves , have since seen the error of our ways .
  6. I have to agree with you . Sadly we are now quite a fair bit behind the speedway world's super-powers , and that doesn't look like changing any time soon . Whether it was Middlo or Sir Alex Ferguson in the pits last night , it wouldn't have made a blind bit of difference .
  7. That is very true , but unfortunately this year looks a penalty kick for Sweden and Australia .
  8. I apologise , not following EL speedway too closely , i had no idea Sophie Blake had been in hospital . Sorry folks .
  9. Trouble with Screeny at the moment is that he's riding through the pain barrier with tendonitis in his elbow . He's not even doing heat 15's in league matches unless it's absolutely necessary . So , no , he'd probably not be too keen . He probably would be as effective as Bridger though but , sad as it is , Bridger is one of the best of the next generation ( god help us ) and for him to progress at all , at international level , he needs to be in the side .
  10. Why can Nicholls go to Poland every Sunday to ride for Start Gniezno without any fuss , but it's a major problem this Thursday . Richardson has come in for a bad press over his decision to miss this year's event . He obviously has his reasons , and was always one of our best riders in previous years - so it's unfortunate he chose to sit out this year .
  11. Don't go there , we've more important stuff going on at Somerset and Rye House this weekend .
  12. Makes no difference , we've no chance against Sweden and Australia
  13. I can imagine by christ this is beginning to drag on a bit now .
  14. Woffinden needed the laps after all his exclusions . Barker is out of his depth , we need the cool head and calmness , for the race off , only Lewis Bridger can provide .
  15. Well after that , it's onto Kings Lynn . With Russia now badly understrength and the Czechs not really up to it , it's down to either Team GB or Poland . The outcome will really depend on whether the Poles want a run-out at Gorzow on Thursday or not . The race-off is also usually poorly attended without the home country , so that might have a bearing as well .
  16. i'm still trying to work out what underminging means
  17. I'm no expert , but i'm sensing you're upset .
  18. Thank goodness for that , some of the stuff that was getting said on Facebook last night had me fearing the worst . Hope the lad makes a speedy recovery .
  19. I understand the point you were making , but there's a lot of patronising gits on this forum .
  20. There was a fair few scuffles that broke out , mainly between Edinburgh fans when it was one of them to buy a round at £4 a pint .
  21. Yes i know , it was always against us . Well thought of Shadders . That comparison is spot on .
  22. Maybe so , but i was thinking more of the British GP as a speedway spectacle rather than an event held in a stadium as wonderful as the Millennium stadium . While the British GP is the jewel in the GP circuit facilities wise , as a speedway spectacle - it's right up there with the Cumberland Classic .
