  1. He won’t get chopped mid season either! The kind of loyalty the Ipswich promotion showed to riders (particularly Riss) this year won’t have gone unnoticed I’m sure.
  2. Where has this Ellis to Ipswich rumour come from? Surely not Doyle giving him a lift? Lol. Gotta love silly season.
  3. Sayfutdinov, Doyle, the Holders, Fricke, B Kurtz, probably Bewley, probably Woffinden, POSSIBLY Lindgren as well. I can’t believe the majority wouldn’t prefer to sacrifice their traditional race day to see these riders around WR. There’ll be some who wouldn’t sure, but I’d be interested in a poll to see who would rather a watered down Championship on traditional Wednesday’s, or change race night and see world class riders back in the top flight.
  4. There’s two points between them. Rew on a 4.00 would be a far superior signing than Cook on a 6.00. Cook has done very well this year don’t get me wrong, but in the long run Rew is a far bigger talent and will go on to be a much better rider IMO. Why would Ipswich not use Rew though? Sign him on a 5.00, give him a bedding in year to learn the tracks, and then not retain him on a point less? Makes no sense from an Ipswich perspective. Rew has struggled at times hence his average, but has also shown flashes of his undoubted ability. He’ll kick on next year.
  5. Just over a point under as it stands. With a top two taking up so many points, ending up a point under still would be criminal. Swap Riss for Freddie Jakobsen and I’m sure Witches fans would bite your hand off.
  6. Great to see Worky return to the Championship. I’m hearing the Championship will be considerably watered down from this years version, with double uppers being extremely limited. We’ll see.
  7. Would be a big surprise if he didn’t return! Always seemed reliable to UK and happy when he’s been here.
  8. He’s your classical WUM. Be known on this forum for years. Ignore him.
  9. He’s just a very wealthy man (started with nothing and earned by hard work by the way) that just happens to love his speedway. Much was made by the Peterborough lot about the wealth of Tomalin but his entire wealth is Guy Nicholls’ small change! Shame there’s not more of him happily pumping his money in to this sport.
  10. He’s always had this stigma surround him from an early age. Accusations of arrogance and a poor personality. This latest outburst has done him no favours to dispel those thoughts.
  11. So you “accept the weather has a lot to do with track conditions” but then criticise the track anyway? What do you expect them to do? In an ideal world they’d have moved the fixture further than 24 hours to prepare something better after torrential rain but that was taken out of their hands. You say “there’s no excuse for a bad track”, well I’m sorry but there is and it’s a damn good one! You’ve completely contradicted yourself. On one hand you’re saying there’s no excuse for a bad track and in the same breath saying you accept the weather dictated that

  13. And absolutely loves riding here. As loyal to British Speedway over the years as anyone.
  14. Witches handicapped by having a rider that can’t see properly in their engine room and penalised by the rules in not allowing a guest from any other club to cover their injured and in form rising star, and they’re still winning it at a canter
  15. Do supporters really get the same satisfaction seeing their team win after your team drafts in the cavalry just prior to the play offs? Maybe it’s just me but I’d much rather see my team lift silverware with most if not all of the team that you’ve spent all season supporting. I get that some changes are forced due to injury and there’s nothing that can be done about that, but even then it would still take the shine off any win for me when the team that lifts it is unrecognisable from the team you’ve watched all year.
  16. That would be virtually impossible. It’s not just Birmingham is it, it’s every other club too that would have to visit there on a Monday without half their team. Mondays and Thursdays are Premiership nights. No championship fixtures could, or will, be played out on those nights.
  17. Did you even type that with a straight face? It’s your promoter who clearly has a win at all costs attitude regardless of the integrity of his choices. Should we be surprised though? After all this is the bloke who insisted his nephew who wasn’t far off qualifying for a testimonial, should be eligible for a “rising star” role as he (wrongly as it turned out) assumed it would give his team a huge advantage!
  18. You’ve got to be kidding surely? Led one of the most unfancied teams who were tipped to be nearer the bottom than the top, to the title whilst turning back the clock with a vintage season. He more than deserves his place on that list.
  19. Louis has a decision to make on the track. It was very grippy and tricky to ride by all accounts for the Cup match and Holder, Howarth and Pickering were all useless and didn’t fancy it on the night. That would play in to Harris’ hands though. Make it a bit slicker and easier to ride then Holder will get stuck in and be a threat. Ipswich have to take at least a 10 point lead going to Sheffield IMO. Watching them on Thursday the middle order pair of Holder and Pickering will get heat advantages all night long at Sheffield over King and Rew unless King brings his A game.
  20. Correct it’s clear as day what he’s doing. Underplaying Harris and Sheffields chances despite the evidence thrown his way that contradicts literally everything he’s saying. People aren’t daft to fool for that codswallop. Personally I think he’s still smarting from Swindon’s demise and Seeing an ex Swindon stalwart in Doyle leading another team to victory rankles just a bit too much. He’s free to root for whoever he likes though I’m sure every neutral will more than likely pick a side who they’d prefer to win.
  21. Orion give it up you’ve had an absolute mare. You had no idea Harris has been so good at Ipswich. “If he scores more than 7 are be amazed” whatever that means, is a terrible shout considering he’s scored more than that in every visit there for the last few years as Arch has shown. “Harris is unlikely to beat Doyle or Emil or even King” is another corker considering he beat Emil on his way to paid 14 on his last visit whilst also beating King twice in the same meeting. Someone stick a fork in the forum jester he’s done.
