  1. Must be honest and say I thought Peterborough's attendance would be hit in the evening after we won at Foxhall but their were loads of Witches fans at the Showground and that was easily our best crowd of the season.
  2. Like a lot of others I thought the second leg at the Showground would be hard and all credit to both teams for a good match. Not quite sure that the ref got it right when excluding Greenwood in heat 2 as it looked like Hawkins took him out. Witches were much better in the second match, but hard very little chance to pass at Foxhall which was super slick very early doors.
  3. Tungate made no effort to get up and clearly stayed down to get the race stopped. As for Bach v Fisher, Bach was just as hard on Fisher in the rerun of 13, it's called racing, hard but fair and no one falling.
  4. That was my first visit to Foxhall since the Witches dropped down to the PL and I was impressed with the changes to facilities for the supporters, stands on the back straight provide excellent viewing and generally it has much improved all round. The track appeared quite good before the match started but it was clear after the first few races it lacked any decent shale and I have to say the racing was pretty non existent, most of all passes were fully over by the back straight of lap 1. This badly needs addressing because with a good race surface this would be a good venue. Mills got an absolute flyer in heat 2 and I thought it quite funny when he said on the mike later he was just more focused than the other riders, clearly he wasn't quite so focused in his other 3. Tungate slipping off on the first bend of heat 13 and deliberately getting the race stopped when the Panthers pairing were in front was disappointing to see, I don't think this sort of cheating is impressive by riders of either side.
  5. I can see quite a lot of Panthers fans at Foxhall tomorrow for what should be a close match.
  6. Yep it's funny how things change isn't it. You were looking to win the league a couple of weeks ago.
  7. Let's be fair they make it up as they go along so wouldn't be at all surprised.
  8. I notice that don't provide details of how they do it but just counting results against teams finishing 1st, 3rd & 4th seems the best and easiest way to do it.
  9. That's the rule in the 2014 Rule Book so clearly it still applies. To be honest it's not that hard to work out the best runner up even in uneven groups, so don't see a problem unless they leave it to the MC to sort out. Looked like he caught the back end of Ales,s bike and then the fence, horrible crash and I hope he is soon ok.
  10. So Panthers have a full team at Foxhall and Bach replaces Fisher at Alwalton, these 2 matches could have a major bearing on the league cup table with Ipswich looking the most handicapped by missing riders at Foxhall. A Good Friday double against the old enemy, should be entertaining they usually are.
  11. 18.2 PREMIER LEAGUE CUP 18.2.1 Teams will be divided into 3 mini-leagues of 4 Teams where each Team will meet on a home and away basis. 18.2.2 The top team in each Mini-League plus the best Runner-Up will progress to the Semi-Finals (and Final). 18.2.3 The Semi-Finals and Final are determined by the aggregate Heat Points scored in the home and away Meetings. In the event of a tie on aggregate in either the Semi-Final or Final, the outcome will be determined by Golden Heats Format. 18.2.4 The Heat Format for the Meeting is as shown in SR18.9.1
  12. Just do what the rest of the Panthers fans do and completely ignore him/her.
  13. I wouldn't be surprised if Panthers go RR for Fisher, not so sure Vissing is available.
  14. Dan HALSEY in for JACOBS tomorrow apparently. No preview yet on either site.
  15. Peterborough restaging their match with Plymouth as the first attempt was abandoned due to a power failure (and not a bloody fuse as some plonker stated in the star letters this week) No team news yet other than JACOBS missing from Panthers due to the GB U21 Final. Weather forecast is good for Tuesday so everything looking good.
  16. Oh dear, looks like reality has set in after a promising start to the season, perhaps the scribes got the team right after all.
  17. That was his 96th official match for Panthers and well over half of those have been at Peterborough, its been clear to me from the start that the Showground circuit is slicker so far this year than it was in 2013 and if I can see it a professional speedway rider should be able to as well. As I said I am pleased to see him amongst the points because a firing Dryml helps the team, and that's what its all about. I think the riding switch with him and Bjerre has helped as well.
  18. No really pleased to see him actually do well, let's be honest though it's about time.
  19. Doesn't excite the team managers either, neither of them are going. Is Summers really the best we can get to cover Fisher.
  20. Well that result opens up the group somewhat, been a good day for shock results.
  21. Excellent GP, thoroughly enjoyed it. Well done Martin Smolinski I certainly didn't see that coming. Bloody light years ahead of the EL
  22. I dare say he will be given some time to get it right but it is galling at times because he should be able a lot better than 5 points a meeting at this level. It didn't take him long last year when he visited with BV, paid 15 if I remember it rightly.
