  1. What and you think they improved with RR for Fisher and a woeful performing DRYML.
  2. I remember the sky meeting well and would have had no complaints if Tony Steele had excluded him that night. Personally I don't have much complaint with Jim Lawrence's decision last night, if that had been Nicki Pedersen instead of Nilsson I doubt many others would as well.
  3. Interesting comments but surely 2 nights is the way forward, Wednesday & Thursday with one home and one away each week on either night. No guests would be needed for double up riders if PL ran on any nights other than the fore mentioned and let everyone double up, why not, if a team wants to include someone on a 12 or 13 point average so what, they will surely be exposed somewhere else. The top riders could then just ride 2 nights in the UK and those that wanted more could double up.
  4. I agree with others Niels, Nicki, MJJ and Hans would have been my choice bearing in mind the finals at Bydgoszcz. Only time will tell if Secher was right.
  5. The chief executive Andrew Mercer left years ago Phil, him and his assistant caused the problems at the 2009 Final, his assistant left before Mercer. I would be surprised if a deal couldn't be done, whether the current promoters/lease holders are interested is another matter entirely.
  6. Yes I also saw it on Facebook and the red light was very clear. On the meeting itself, it was very entertaining and I am really pleased GB won but I thought the racing was pretty poor if I am honest and having attended Lynn loads of times this isn't unusual at Saddlebow.
  7. All if and buts but I still think with a full team it might have gone the other way, imagine how you would have done with a normal team and just RR for stead.
  8. Would have thought sponsors would have been welcome at any track considering the state of the sport.
  9. Sheffield press release isn't saying Stead is missing, for the Panthers match its saying Masters for Lanham, Perry for Bates and RR for Proctor
  10. To be fair to Lasse it's only his size that's similar. Lasse isn't noted for his trapping, can pass very well and isn't a pushover in tight races. Must be honest I think he is doing a great job but as others have said when sorting out his travel for Saturdays WU21 Final we didn't have Edinburgh the next day. That said I still think flights could have sorted out if all parties wanted it badly enough, Clearly they didn't.
  11. Very entertaining meeting and Panthers raised their game yet again when they had their backs to the wall. Fricke hitting the tapes when on a TR was an expensive mistake as he was just getting to grips with the track but the Monarchs can have no complaints as they were at full strength. Pretty good crowd as well, rain came later than was expected although the track became tricky in the last two.
  12. I concur, until everything is done in an honest, open and up front way this sport will continue its downwood spiral.
  13. Nothing to disagree with in that post With friends like him who needs enemies
  14. Meeting postponed, at least an early call off means fans are not inconvenienced.
  15. Hopefully a match preview, although it does look like the weathers going to ruin this one.
  16. Assuming Schlein is 11.43 OSTERGAARD 6.93 BJERRE 8.00 BLACKBIRD 5.55 BARRETT 3.60 JACOBS 3.58 GREENWOOD 3.40 That totals 42.49 so if Schlein,s converted GSA is right why has this application been refused?
  17. If you are changing TWO or more riders it has to fit under the team limit.
  18. I am more interested as to why they turned it down, it seems to be similar to the Newcastle change which saw King and Greaves replace Henry and Rosen, out and out no 1 and second string for two heat leaders If it fits why have they refused it?, what does Newcastle's application have that ours doesn't, other than a member on the MC.
  19. It was Schlein and Greenwood for Fisher and another unnamed rider (clearly Dryml) The BSPA MC turned it down, why am I not surprised. Peterborough Telegraph has the story http://www.peterboroughtoday.co.uk/sport
  20. I thought it was a great GP and racing wise was better than in recent years. The attendance was also as good as I have seen at the venue so they must be doing something right, enjoyed the whole show and the weather wasn't too bad either.
