  1. What curfew, the one that didn’t exist two weeks previously when they raced until 2315, or the one that mysteriously appeared in the Lakeside match report that for some reason affected the speedway but didn’t seem to affect the go karts which were still racing after the speedway had finished. Perhaps it might have has something to do with the amount of noise complaints Rye House Received for running until 2315 for the previous meeting or did Mick Bates decide he had had enough and wanted to go home because Lakeside couldn’t physically overhaul Peterborough,s lead in the final two heats, (sets an interesting precedent for future matches over an aggregate tie).
  2. Difficult match with lots of problems but Lakeside won fair and square on aggregate so good luck to them, nice to see we got the match fully completed and no bullsh$yte concerning curfews etc. Onwards now to the next chapter as we look towards the play Off semi finals next weekend, all to play for with honours even after the first two ties in the KOC cup and Championship Shield.
  3. I have been going to Rye since the mid 70’s and last night was typical Rye gate and go and it’s always been the same. Their was some shale on the outer third of the circuit but anyone trapping and immediately riding wide wasn’t passed all night. And to be fair it’s been like that for decades. Whose wonderful idea was it to install a motor cross circuit on the centre green which causes visibility problems for all Supporters at ground level.
  4. Fully agree, I dare say a few quid was saved owing to the newly installed “curfew” which funnily enough didn’t affect the go karts next door, funny that. The racing was usual Rye gate and go, a few overtakes but they were few and far between, as for Jon Cook taking advantage of the rules is it a big surprise err no. And no to the last question as well despite the ongoing problems within the sport.
  5. Golden heats and possibly up to 3 more heats. I and others around me were all clearly dissapointed with the way the second match was concluded, this curfew clearly didn’t exist two weeks ago.
  6. Count everything including the KOC on as many matches as you can and at least the last thirty, riders would give up throwing races as it would have too little effect.
  7. I dare say that's right Dave but it can still be circumvented what with exclusions for tapes and 2 minutes etc.
  8. And why on earth isn’t it any two riders of the team managers choice, subject to them not already having taken 7 rides or is that just too easy.
  9. Rain now gone and the forecast for the rest of the day is good, it’s now brightening up.
  10. Perhaps the fact that the last meeting at Rye was on Saturday 15th and the next is Sunday 23rd, generally this rule prevented guests appearing at the same track every week on the same day. It now seems to confirm that the actual race day (Saturday) is counted as day 1 which makes Sunday week as day 9, if Lakeside had planned to stage this next Saturday then Barker clearly would have been ineligible.
  11. Panthers meet home and away (Providing the weather allows) for a semi final place against Scunthorpe, following a planned 2.00pm start at Lakeside the action moves on to 7.00pm at Peterborough. The weather forecast for Peterborough has improved over the last 24 hours and it’s now looking more promising this will go ahead. teams Peterborough - Barker, Grondal, Wilson Dean, Palm Toft, Ostergaard, Stewart, Lambert. Lakeside - Lawson, Morley, Ellis, Newman, Summers, Wajtnecht, Bowtell.
  12. Interesting that the Newcastle match report doesn’t mention why Lindgren was missing either.
  13. Very possibly, but then at least this way both clubs get the bonus of good support at either venue
  14. Peterborough v Lakeside is Sunday 7th October at 5.00pm
  15. Or the MC for some reason allow the team a facility even though their own rules don’t allow it.
  16. I have also discussed it with several of our riders over the years, only Henning Bager actually liked the place. i am sorry for the fans that it’s closed though, it’s never good to see a track shut down and wouldn’t wish it on anyone.
  17. Not quite sure when Lakeside opened but I must have been 20 or 30 times at least over several decades, it’s never been any different.
  18. Again “hardly matters” doesn’t cut it. The BSPA MC making it up as we go along is half the reason why nobody takes this sport seriously and why it’s in the mess it currently finds itself.
  19. You are either allowed a facility for a Polish D2 match or your not, play off or rearranged fixture doesn’t come into it, Yet another classic example of rule bending/breaking to suit a team or person.
  20. I thought Klindt rode for a Polish Div 2 team, if that’s the case why are they getting a facility. Extraleague and Div 1 only was agreed by the BSPA.
  21. I can think of a lot of fans thinking exactly the same, this should have had an earlier start time. They haven’t exactly done their best to attract Newcastle fans either.
  22. Looks to be a cracker after the Tigers demolished the Monarchs, Glasgow could really cause a flap with the others if they win thursday
