  1. Being honest I have seen some good racing at the venue a number of times but i wouldn’t say it’s always brilliant.
  2. It’s interesting that we get continued comments that the racing at Scunthorpe is brilliant, yet every time I have been their is only a couple of hundred watching, and that includes a healthy few from my club. Over the last few years I must have been a dozen times or more but the crowd is always the same, clearly not everyone feels the same otherwise the place would be rammed most weeks.
  3. Probably because Keith Chapman didn’t put the team together, Ged Rathbone did.
  4. If MPT is in the side it’s looking like he will partner Andersen as Kerrs last GSA was 5.50 whilst MPT is 5.36
  5. Not very many I am informed, Peterborough however have in recent years had quite a lot. I think it’s a balance but most teams are known by the beginning of the year when ST are advertised.
  6. Drip feeding riders is all about media, it’s about getting as much publicity as you can manage and drip feeding news and riders gets you a lot more coverage than releasing a team in one go.
  7. Indeed, I was under the impression they dropped down to cut costs, with riders freely available already in the UK it’s a strange one.
  8. Unfortunately not many of our tracks produce good racing week in and week out. A trapping contest followed by follow the leader for 4 laps is not what most supporters want.
  9. Not altogether uncommon amongst speedway riders
  10. My understanding is that the reduction is for initial team building only however the PR states Tungate will start as no 1 I agree with others this is likely to make the Panthers stronger overall as Tungate is still effectively on the way up and is in good current form finishing second to Fricke in the recent Australian Championship.
  11. I dare say changes will be made if it doesn’t cut it, Riss and MPT made the difference last year but then you also had Iversen as well.
  12. And Wright & Wilson Dean second strings, let’s be fair folks it’s a tidy looking side.
  13. As I said before what if no bond was paid.
  14. August is traditionally the Showgrounds busiest period and has been for years. I am afraid it is what it is, I doubt it will change for the foreseeable future.
  15. Of course that’s assuming Rye paid a bond in the first place.
