  1. I thought both guests were good on Sunday as Jorgensen covered for Nicholls well.
  2. I am not sure a 9pm start on Saturday will attract too much travelling support. Do Rye have a time curfew
  3. Lakeside away now in the fixtures as the second part of a double header at Rye House on Saturday 15th September.
  4. I do wonder if the start Marshall was just doing what he was told. This GP was dreadful although clearly a fair bit of that was down to the weather which had left the track in a dreadful state, but from the gate processions do nothing to encourage support in fact rather the opposite. Unfortunately with little racing last night it highlighted a dreadful decision by a referee and this isn’t the first dreadful mistake by a referee this year. The FIM need to get a grip on this now because poor GP,s and poor referees make for poor attendances. If the FIM have tightened up on gardening at the start then they should come clean and say so. Last nights GP hasn’t exactly tempted me to attend Krsko in the future which is a shame because friends have enjoyed GP,s there in the past.
  5. Light cloud and a fresh breeze is the forecast although it shows 21c at around start time, it’s currently quite bright and looks to be a reasonable day.
  6. To be fair it’s nice to see the SCB taking a stance for a change, especially against the BSPA vice chairman Its also interesting that nothing official has been released about the matter either, not from Scunthorpe or the SCB.
  7. I can think of a lot of riders to which that applies
  8. I think most people understand that it’s the why that’s still to be revealed.
  9. Closing the gap whilst someone is coming up behind you (Probably better known as the Pedersen manoeuvre) is one thing but closing the gap or trying too when the rider is alongside you is quite another. Riss was the cause of the crash full stop, it would be interesting to know if Vardy has seen that footage.
  10. I have just watched a video of this incident that Carl Johnson posted on Facebook, this shows BWD on the outside of the track between the start line and the first bend and Mark Riss on the inner edge, Riss then moves out from the inner edge to the outer straight into the side of BWD. i have absoloutly no idea why Vardy excluded BWD but the decision beggars belief, if you don’t believe me watch the video. with referees their are brave decisions, desperate decisions and just plain stupid decisions Vardy,s heat 14 decision was certainly a category 3.
  11. Well presumably someone from Lakeside informed the BSPA regarding this fixture, it wouldn’t have been generated by Peterborough. It would be helpful if Lakeside confirmed or advertised the said fixture or they could be dissapointed with the attendance.
  12. Never mind about commenting, the SCB should be taking the clubs concerned to task for deliberately flouting the speedway regulations to their own end. 16.5.1 A Team may utilise a "Facility" to cover the absence of a Rider(s) who: k) is on FIM Longtrack Championship duty (for the day of the Meeting only; no facility is permitted for practice day). Its pretty clear a facility only covers for the day of the meeting itself (today Saturday 1st September) so the facility granted by the BSPA MC is totally against the rules. The fact that this decision was made by the MC two of which are the promoters of the two clubs concerned Scunthorpe & Sheffield frankly makes it worse, just how long does this crap have to go on before the SCB actually start doing their job properly. As others have said the sport is currently lurching from one disaster to another.
  13. Last week wasn’t boring, I thought it was quite a good match, I appreciate the fact that we won helped but it was certainly entertaining.
  14. 8 day rule doesn’t apply when guesting for a home teams no 1
  15. To be fair (and I am not sticking up for the BSPA) I dare say it’s been written like that because teams in the past have brought in ringers for the play offs and cup finals.
  16. Yes it’s apparent David Klindt isn’t riding at Lynn tonight so why say he is.
  17. Both Lynn and Poole PR state quite clearly Klindt is riding at Lynn tonight and other sources confirm the same, it does seem rather unprofessional if this information is circulated knowing it’s incorrect or misleading with at least one party clearly at fault.
  18. Scunthorpe 19-59 Peterborough 1973 I remember it well but as you say it was at Quibell Park
