So you don't think 13 points from 5 starts when Sheffield won at the EOES the other week is anything special -
Speedway World Cup 2017
bigcatdiary replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Good result for GB but the racing was awful, very little passing all night. Let's hope the team put on a good show in the final. -
Can you point me to the section in the current regs concerning that as I can no longer find it.
-
So where do all the extra riders come from 34 out of 56 of the 8 teams of the Premiership currently ride in the Championship.
-
So why do it for the Championship but not for the Premiership bearing in mind the rule 16.2.7 applies equally to both.
-
16.2.7 A SGB Premiership or Championship League rider will establish an MA after 4 Home and 4 Away fixtures, becoming effective 7 days after the last qualifying Meeting. Should an Established MA not be achieved to be effective from 1st May, then the MC may issue a revised MA, based upon actual rides if the Team re-declares. SHANES had done 4h and 4a by the 6th June

Peterborough Panthers 2017

I can think of a lot of Peterborough fans that are now a lot happier, Hall was hopeless, perhaps he should have bought the new engine from the start. -

What a truly dreadful track and not what I expected on the first night of the Premiership. Belle Vue were the better team and deserved the points but I was surprised Klindt was given 4 rides as it was fairly obvious he wasn't fit. -

I would have thought Brady Kurtz will replace Morris if he isn't fit. -
Peterborough V Berwick 23/6/17

I bet Berwick supporters are ecstatic what with the best paramedics and track covers, shame about the team though. -
Both teams at full strength for what should be a absorbing contest, Glasgow have the riders to make it difficult and have an impressive away record this season and with results not always going the Panthers way recently they will be desperate to avoid another home defeat. Weather forecast is good and meeting starts at 5.00pm

I agree and talking to friends I didn't find any of them happy with Schlein riding in our British Championship Final, the fact that our best hope in years (Lambert) wasn't in it and we gave places away to an Australian and others who couldn't score a point beggars belief. The top 8 riders should be seeded, the fact that they are not is surely down to the BSPA wanting to sell the semi finals and I dare say Woffinden might well ride if it was just one meeting. As you say the sport in this country has a credibility crisis and this farce does nothing to help, I dare say the attendance might well have been a lot better Monday if all the top British riders were in attendance.
-
I can certainly see Lambert as one of the reserves and Stevie Worrall could easily be the second, with Cook missing as well makes a rather large hole in Workingtons and Newcastles chances.
